Great place with a lovely setting. We rated the home as well as we could. Five stars for the host who was awesome. Unfortunately the smell of cat urine was so thick in the air that we had to buy air fresheners and have candles lit all weekend. A lovely place and a great host, but we are sensitive to animal odors and no review mentioned this, nor did the wonderful owner.

10/10. Great location right on the water, enough space for all of our guests and close to many great marinas/restaurants
Katie was also very helpful and got back to me right away if I had any questions! This is a great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay, beds were very comfortable. House was a good size for 8 people. Kitchen has a good selection of pots, pans. The appliances were nice and we really liked the dishwasher. We liked the little things that Katie provided - spices, oil, condiments, plastic wrap, foil, plastic bags, extra toilet paper and paper towel and poopoouri in the bathrooms. It was also nice to have beach towels to use. Lake was nice with sandy bottom and shallow for quite a way out. We enjoyed swimming and using the paddleboards. When we first entered the home, there was a "cat pee" odor but it got better over the week.

House was perfect for our three generations. Ages 1 1/2 to 69 all enjoyed the large backyard, shallow water and fishing. Owners provide so much more than the listing! Pack n play, shampoo, many kitchen items not just spices. Loved walking the area, rarely saw a car. Beds were great, laundry better than we have at home. Two great bathrooms large kitchen and living room and a beautiful deck. Plenty of parking. Great suggestions for out to eat and things to do.

A comfortable retreat that is centrally located for an Oshkosh vacation. Katie was responsive to all our questions, and her home provided ample space for our group to relax. Water toys to use on the lake were an added benefit. Super enjoyable and would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay and adored the view of Lake Winnebago. We want to come again. It was close to lots of places to bird watch. We enjoyed sitting by the water and watching the sunsets. The kitchen is nice and big enough for us to cook together. It's a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. It was perfect!

We enjoyed our time! The house was very cute and comfortable. The lake was beautiful. Kids swam right iff the dock, enjoyed the kayak and paddle boards and spent time fishing. The lake is relatively quiet which was perfect for us. Great place to relax and enjoy the lake! Oshkosh and Fond Du Lac are nice towns. We hope to be back soon!

It would have been nice if there wouldn't have been so many neighbors but the neighbors were all nice. Otherwise it was a very good overall experience.

We loved the location, which is in a residential area and very little traffic so we could take a walk. We loved the home: comfortable beds, clean, spacious for 7 people. We never ran out of hot water for showers. Communication with the owners was easy. Close to the outlet mall, Paine Art Center, EAA museum and restaurants. This was one of the best VRBO we have ever stayed at.

Beautiful setting on a lovely cove, quiet street, very cozy and comfortable and very well stocked with needed supplies. Gas fire place for ambience. Super nice owner, very helpful. Children can enjoy swimming at the dock, for deeper water you go out farther.

The property and home was wonderful. Lovely back porch, lake access, all the amenities needed on site. The property was located close to town, gas stations, and stores. The house was very spacious and newly remodeled. The only small/critical issue is the closeness of the neighbors, but would most definitely stay again! Thanks Katie & Bill for a wonderful stay!

Cozy home on the lake.
We couldn’t have picked a better home than this one. There were so many things to keep the teens and us active. From walks to horseshoes, corn hole and a fire pit at night. Best of all the best location on the lake. The house was perfect for our family of five.

Ice fishing trip on Winnebago
Katie’s home is fantastic and the perfect house for any type of visit to Lake Winnebago. It is spacious and extremely clean and well kept. The location is convenient to just about anything you would want to do in the Oshkosh area. This is my 2nd time staying here and hope to visit again.

Just what we wanted!!
I had visited the property 2 years ago and liked what I saw then so I knew it would be exactly what we wanted. We relaxed and enjoyed the lake views, the local eatery's and towns.
Would definitely do it again in the future!!!

Passable property
Was expecting a little roomier accommodation, but luckily we had less people than we had originally planned for. Also, the house had an unpleasant odor.

Great place to reconnect with family
We rented this house while we were in WI to bury my father-in-law, who died of Covid last November. Our sons flew in from NYC and LA to join us in honoring their grandfather and to meet some family they had never met. The house is a classic lake house- not fussy, just perfect. We hosted 2 family dinners and loved hanging out on the deck. The watercraft and corn hole made for more fun. The hosts were very communicative and the property was exactly as described.

In need of some TLC
When I first arrived at the property there was what appeared to be months worth of dead lake flies at the front door. Not very welcoming.
Upon entering I was hit with a very strong musty lake smell, which I can deal with, it was the overwhelming smell of cat urine that I could not. All of the bedrooms smelled even worse than the living area. I woke up in the middle of the night several times to that smell and was disgusted and embarrassed since, I was the one who booked this for my family. I read a review from last year where this same thing was mentioned and the owner assured that a deep cleaning was done. I went ahead and booked based on that comment but feel duped. If a deep cleaning was done it is not sufficient. The carpeting was stained and should be replaced, most likely the sub floor needs to be replaced as well in order to remove the cat smell.
I would also have expected that the grass would be cut before our arrival or perhaps while we were there. It never did get cut. There was a trip hazard on the back deck due to a loose board.
We enjoyed the pier and paddle boards. All appliances appear to have been updated. We prepared several meals and the kitchen worked out well for multiple cooks.
Overall this property felt neglected. We ended up leaving a day early as it was not what we had hoped for and made us long for home.
