We had a great time and the house was well stocked. The only thing was that some of the furniture needed repaired but otherwise a fabulous week.

We can’t say enough about the BEST host Mrs. Parkerson, she treats you like family not a stranger, The house was just as it is advertised, very clean, spacious, updated, close to pools, very close to tram to the beach, close to shopping and dining. We would definitely recommend this host/house to anyone wanting to stay in PCB in the future.

This house is perfect for a large family with ample space both indoors and out. The house is well-maintained, equipped with all the essentials needed for convenience and large family meals. Cathie was a great communicator and very responsive the one time we needed her! Would definitely stay at this property again.

We loved all the space in this house. The teenagers were able to have some of their own spaces while each family had a room for "home base." It was easy to get to and from the beach, walking or on the tram, although the tram was sometimes slow. We had a little trouble with the dryer and a little mix-up with a door lock that took a little longer to solve than ideal, but otherwise we didn't lack anything for our stay.

The location of the property is very good. The website information list, six bedrooms, but it is really only five bedrooms, which includes the carriage house. However, our experience overall was very good. The shuttle was very convenient and timely getting to the beach. The weather was very good, even though we had a couple of days that were red flag days, meaning that the ocean was pretty rough.

On the first day of our stay we discovered German Cockroaches in the kitchen and the downstairs master bathroom. This was extremely unsettling to myself and my family members. We checked in on a Saturday afternoon, found the cockroaches on Sunday, and the owner had an exterminator to the property on Monday. I appreciated her fast response to the problem, however we learned, from the exterminator, that this was an ongoing issue with the house. That was extremely disappointing to learn because we were not notified in any way that we would be showing up to a house that had roaches. My family would have wanted a full refund and our plans would have changed if we had known there was an infestation. I would also like to add that there are too many houses for the pool and beach access. The pool was always extremely crowded and you couldn't find a seat due to people leaving their things in the chairs and going back to their homes. The "beach" access is dominated by the umbrella/chairs that you have to pay for and the beach where you can set up your own chairs and umbrella is less than half the size of a football field with over 100 individuals trying to set up their things in that space. We ended up having to use a public beach access 2/3 miles away from the home. Overall it was not a home that I would recommend due to the cockroaches, small beach access, and overcrowding of the entire complex in general.

We have been visiting Seacrest for over 15 years and have stayed in many different homes in Seacreast, This house has been our favorite from the first time we stayed in it. It's beautiful, stocked well, clean, cozy. We have many family memeories that have taken place in this home. It's always our first choice. The only times we don't stay there is if it's already booked.

Such an amazing house!
We take a trip each year with my parents (70's), my two sister's, and families. Lots of people and different ages. This house was perfect! We love to eat, hang out, and play games in the kitchen/dining/living room area and this worked great. The bedrooms are all good size and everyone was comfortable. We loved being out on the covered porch drinking coffee in the mornings.
Cathie was AMAZING! So quick to answer my many questions and made everything very easy. Great vacation spot!

Seacrest Beach Vacation May 2022
We had a great week long vacation with 3 generations. It went way too fast. We got quite a bit of rain but the temperature was amazing. Outside felt like air conditioning most days. The house is beautifully decorated in every nook and cranny. The pictures do not capture everything. It’s really stunning, tons of space, and great kitchen. We throughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for next year.

Beach Getaway
Cathie’s house is big and extremely comfortable. There are wrap around patios on both floors and multiple doors to every patio, which makes it easy to move around for everyone. We spent lots of time having coffee and chatting in the mornings, and relaxing in the evenings on the main floor patio. Very inviting. The house sits on a corner which makes for more parking, and we needed it because we had four cars. The house is furnished with a large dining table and that made our dining family style. We made many memories gathering everyone around for card and board games. The house really has everything you’ll need and we had a blast. Our teen girls especially liked having their own “apartment” over the garage, as well. Bravo to Cathie for providing the key piece to a wonderful family getawaway!

Dream Family Vacation
The photos of this property really don’t do it justice, it is open and spacious and perfect for large groups since each bedroom has a private bathroom! The community pool was an easy walk and the tram stopped literally right in front of the front door for easy beach access! I would say 11 out of 10 if there was a ranking 😎

Great stay
Our family had a great time staying here. The house is very spacious and plenty of room for everyone. We all enjoyed sitting outside on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings The owner was very responsive if we had any questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic home for multiple families!
This home was perfect for our large group of 12, and there was plenty of room for even more people - we didn't even need to use the carriage house at all, other than for extra showers after a day at the beach!
The owner was super responsive and helpful as well.

We loved this beach house!
Great location! There was plenty of space for everyone. It’s hard to find a place where everyone has their own bathroom but this house checked that box too! House is on the corner of tram stop A5 so it’s just right out the front door. The two bikes in the garage were a nice addition. Owner communicated well with us and always answered any questions we had... we would rent this home again in the future.

Beautiful, roomy home!
Our 16 family members fit comfortably in this home in Seacrest Beach. There is a bathroom attached to each of the 5 bedroom including the large carriage house. There are toppers on each bed and toppers for the hide a beds. Our teenage boys loved the 3rd floor entertainment room. We cooked each night in the large well stocked kitchen with a gas stove. There is a large dining room table that was perfect for scrapbooking, games, eating and other activities. The garage held many beach items that we could use. There is a Tram stop just outside the house for trips to the beach and the Seacrest Beach Pool is just a few blocks away. I highly recommend this house and Cathie is a super host!

Wonderful!
Extremely spacious for large groups- we had 3 families plus a grandparent. The extra suite was perfect for grandparents and plenty of room in the main house for everyone else. Beautiful porches on two levels, well-equipped kitchen with all the basic cooking necessities and nice-sized bedrooms. Close to pool and speedy tram service to beach- can’t beat it! Will definitely stay here again!!

Home away from home.l
We stayed here recently(June 2016). The owner was very nice and accommodating. The place itself is nicer than the pics. It is beautiful, and the wrap around porch is amazing! It also slept 16 well. It has some beach gear to be used. We like to cook, and the kitchen had lots of conveniences. Great gas stove. Great getaway for extended family. We will stay again!

There were a few minor issues with the house, but overall it was a very comfortable home. The ice maker didn't function properly and we had to purchase ice for our daily use. The cleaners were an hour late leaving the property. There was a few kitchen essentials that we had to purchase ourselves. The biggest issue was the community and I would have liked to have known before we booked this home, which is why I'm writing a review. The access to the beach is limited because you can only go through the community directly in front of the main entrance to the Seacrest community. They do not allow bikes or any other wheeled objects (wheelbarrows, coolers, strollers) to go through their community, much less a car. So you have to park them across the street and carry all of your beach things (and kids) a good quarter mile to the beach. There are a few large golf carts the Seacrest community provides that you call and they will come to you, but only one can go into the beachside community at a time and there are only a handful, so during prime times, you will wait. I'm sure this system works fine in non-peak weeks, but in the middle of July it was quite annoying. The beach is also very crowded because everyone from these two communities is accessing it at from the same staircase. Two beach chair companies have monopolized the space and if you want to purchase an umbrella and two chairs it's $275 for the week or $50 a day. If you don't rent an umbrella for the week, you are hauling your things even farther down the beach. All these things considered, the water was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. We just wished we had known the issues with the beach access before we had selected this house/community. There is also a lot of construction going on in the community, so there was noise all day starting early in the morning.

cajun's family fun
During the week of June 13-20 our family of fourteen spent a wonderful week at Seacrest Beach. This was our fifth every-other-year family vacation at Seacrest. We have stayed in two previous homes, both of which we really thought were great. Since our family continues to grow, this time I decided to look for a larger home. As I searched through the various houses, it seemed that Great Gulf Getaway would be a good choice. We were not at all disappointed. All of us enjoyed the lovely spacious home, and our grandchildren LOVED the third floor media room. The only negative was that we were not able to enter the home until a little after 5:00 the Saturday afternoon that we arrived, because housekeeping had not completed the cleaning. The supervisor of housekeeping showed up at our front door the next morning, apologizing for our delay in entering the house. She actually brought us a $50 Target gift card to make amends. We really appreciated that. Our week was very relaxing and fun-filled, as always! We especially loved having early morning coffee on the west porch with our three children and their spouses. That was a daily ritual, and a pleasurable one. My oldest daughter said, "You hit it out of the park, with this house." We are all looking forward to returning to Great Gulf Getaway for our next family vacation in 2017. Thank you to the Parkerson's for sharing their vacation home with our family.

It IS a "Great Gulf Getaway"!!!
My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our three children, their spouses and our 4 grandkids in this lovely home.
The photos do not lie; this is a VERY spacious home with plenty of room for adults and children alike.
The "girls" and I especially appreciated the big kitchen with huge counter space for prep and cooking. We also enjoyed the large dining table for family meals and the adjacent eating space on the first floor porch. The large flat screen TV's in the living room and ALL adult bedrooms plus the 3rd floor "movie" room were a nice bonus!! The house, including the three levels of porches, was so large we all could have our "own" space. The location is ideal in close enough to the pool and beach but far enough for privacy and quiet.
The few minor issues we had were taken care of promptly and satisfactorily by the owner and local manager.
I would highly recommend this home and hope to return there in the near future.

My Favorite Home to Rent in Seacreat
This home is one of the most beautiful, inviting and comforable homes in all of Seacrest. Cathie has done a fantastic job with decorating and with the detail for her guests. We have rented for years, and stumbled upon this home and have already booked our next visit in August. I highly recommend this home and homeowner.

AWESOME!
This house is beautiful and in a beautiful location! The home is lavishly decorated, incredibly spacious, and has plenty of amenities! This is the kind of luxury you want to enjoy on vacation! The whole experience was great. We had three families in our family get-together here, and everyone loved it. In addition to the ocean, of course, the pools were fun (could not believe how large the pools are). I can't think of any place I've ever stayed that was nicer. Would definitely recommend it, and in fact I plan to stay here again.
I would say that somehow the photos don't do it justice. Everthing is new, so of course it is well-maintained. The owner is easy to communicate with.

Beautiful house, very comfortable!
We really enjoyed our recent stay at this house. It is very new and modern with great beds, cookware, appliances and bathrooms. The multiple decks and porches are very nice and the community pool is a highlight. You just can't beat this community. Would highly recommend to any anyone.
