About this house rental

This lovely chalet is set on a 1 1/2 acre wooded lot just outside the town of Fish Creek. It comfortably sleeps 6. There are two upstairs bedrooms. One holds a queen-sized bed, and the other a full-sized bed. The main floor bedroom houses a queen bed . A full kitchen, dining room, and living room with a midcentury modern wood-burning fireplace are included. Despite our efforts, we have been unable to install WI-FI due to the cottage's location. Amenities also include a flat-screen TV and DVD player in the living room. Surrounding 1/2 of this lovely, wooded chalet is a deck with plenty of privacy for your outdoor enjoyment and a grill for outdoor cooking. This home is a cottage in the woods and is decorated as such. It is decorated in rustic decor. It is not palatial but comfortable. It should not be compared to homes that are not in a similar price range. Since dogs are accepted, those with animal allergies should consider another location for their vacation. The location is close to many arts, music, theater, drive-in movie beaches, and more.

This cabin was a great stay, in that it took us back to a time prior to technology. My family had a cabin much like this one for many years. This reminded us of the vintage cabin of our prior years. This allowed us to focus on family, and not on tablets, computers, or television. If you want to disconnect, this is a great choice.

The rental smelled very bad on the ground floor when we arrived. The host was responsive and immediately arranged for a carpet cleaning, which unfortunately did not help. We could not stay due to the odor, so we left after one night and received a partial refund.

Loved the location of the property, isolated yet near everything. Our dog enjoyed the yard, and roaming the woods. Loved the fact that 2nd floor had a toilet! Bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed the ceiling fans. Kitchen was well equipped, and appreciated all the game choices. Definitely would recommend, and will stay again!

The 3 BR and 1 1/2 bathroom cottage was just what we needed. It is in a wooded area yet close to Fish Creek. There was an abundance of all we needed. No internet was no problem for us. The fire pit and outdoor chairs were a bonus. This is a great place to stay to come back to after all of your daily DC adventures, as well as a comfortable place to enjoy each other (or have your own space) when at the cottage. We would definitely stay again.

This is our third year stayng at The Woodlands. Of all of the places we've stayed at, this is by far our favorite. The owners couldn't be nicer. Always available if we have any questions or concerns.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodlands. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, we were able to bike into Fish Creek and the Peninsula State Park. The outside of the house looks like a cottage and the inside reminded me more of a cabin. It’s not modern or fancy but a clean, quiet place to stay. We enjoyed it very much and are planning to return next summer.

Dated, but clean and comfy. None of the clocks work, wood that was there was too long and nothing to cut it with. Not all burners on stove work properly. Little bit of an odor, but opened window and that took care of it. Overall experience was good.

This is our second time staying at this cabin. I really enjoy the location; close to town but secluded and quiet. The only draw back is the mattress in the first floor bedroom, it was noisy and has no back support at all. We ended up leaving a day early to get home to our own bed. But really it's a nice unpretentious, family and pet friendly place to stay... The fire place is wonderful!

We had a great time - the property was exactly as listed. It was a perfect place for us, quiet, peaceful and off the beaten path also super easy to find and the location was perfect. We would all stay here again. Bonnie was a great host and we had no issues. Actually when we got there one of the outside lights was burned out and she replaced it right away. Thank you Bonnie

We stayed 5 days and 4 nights in this charming little cottage. Even though it was close to the main road, it is surrounded by tall trees and it felt like a woodsy location. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the birds chirp. It was very easy access to get anywhere in Door County from this cottage. Our host was very good about communication. I would highly recommend staying here if you like a rustic cabin experience.

Overall, this house is pleasant with a large deck to sit outdoors with comfortable furniture. The outdoor dining table has been replaced with a coffee table. Two beds are ok. Bed on the first floor needs a new mattress. Doors need oiling - they squeak and wake people up. Shower needs to be fixed. My hubby could almost not turn it on. Needs regular dusting. House has air conditioning which is nice. Kitchen is fully stocked and nice to cook in.

The property is older but it met our needs really well. Because of the age of the property, the indoor lighting is low but the place is comfortable and clean. It has a great location right off hwy 42 with easy access to the rest of Door County. We would stay there again.

My wife and me loved this cozy, clean comfortable cottage. Nestled in a small subdivision, we found this house very easy to find. 3 bedrooms to choose from, soft or firm mattress upstairs and another bedroom down stairs. We were located just minutes away from either direction, downtown Fish creek or the opposite direction ; Egg Harbor. Traffic noise is the only downside, windows must be up at night in the north side of the house to avoid the noise. Lovely place. Thank you Bonnie

We wanted a convenient location for 2 couples to stay that wouldn’t break the bank and allow us to spend some time together while also giving us our own private space. This cottage was perfect! Loved the rustic decor and it had great photo ops right outside the door. Bonnie couldn’t have been any nicer or easier to work with! We would definitely stay here again.
