It was in a great location. Very small room and cold breakfast put in your fridge. You eat in your room rather than in a central dining area. You basically only rent a room. You do not have use of the kitchen or living areas. Host was very friendly.

Comfortable room. The breakfasts each day were very enjoyable. Loved being able to walk downtown

Listing said “dining room”. It was a card table sized table with two chairs IN THE bedroom. We sat on the sofa in the LR and were told that space was not included. So 4 days in a small bedroom with more than half the floor space taken up with the “dining room”
Very disappointing!

Charming room, lovely breakfast, beautiful art by the homeowner is everywhere!

This property was not the “bed and breakfast” we expected. The space was clean but very dated. The bathroom linens were showing their age especially. It felt more like a stay at “Aunt Lindas” , not a vacation B & B.
Our host was very nice and upbeat, leaving us with a beautiful breakfast and good coffee. If your looking for a homier stay, this is your place!! If your a single woman looking for a safe place to stay, this is your place! If your a couple looking at a getaway, with relaxation or romance you might want to reconsider.

Great location & price
Was a nice location and arrangements were easy and Mary was very helpful. She accommodated our needs just great. Her cat Clementine was a joy to have in the house, although didn't see her lot.

Great Location, Warm Host
The location was great. The food was wonderful, and our hostess was wonderful. The only pitfall was the height and size of the bed.

Only Guest
My husband and I were the only guest at this property. There was only one guestbook. I assumed there would be other guests.
Mary Ann made wonderful breakfasts each day and left them in our refrigerator for us to eat in the morning. We just had to turn the coffee on and heat up our breakfast, so we could eat when we wanted.
Mary Ann was very responsive and accommodating.

Beautiful view, friendly host
Great location. Easy walking. Beautiful view. Small, but charming. Full size bed just not large enough for those of us use to sleeping in a king.

Tiny
Since most renters here will be one time I feel obligated to provide an honest review that is not flattering.
We enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts to get that homey feeling away from home. Attic Paradise did not give us that feeling.
First issue was the late 6pm check-in when check out time is an early 10am. Mary Anne let us store our suitcases in her crowded shed when we arrived in Seward that morning. Second issue was the grass length. We had to pull our 80 lbs bags through 8+ inches of grass.
We checked in at 6pm and met Mary Anne. She led us straight to our tiny room and her tour consisted only of that room and the bathroom next door. In this small room was a pretty large table set with lots of dishes. This table made it awkward to get in the closet and the dresser.
Next issue is the bed, which she advertises correctly as an antique double. This bed was very small and creeky. Could not move at all without the bed making lots of noise!
Bathroom was also small but fine. All the linens were nice and clean.
The third issue is that we did not feel welcome in the rest of the house and the only clean spaces were our bedroom and bathroom.
The den is the only area with a view.
Another thing is that she did not offer a laundry service that she advertses and we needed that since she was our mid trip stay. The closet laundry mat is over 3 hilly blocks away, which is far without a car and carrying a bunch of clothes.
Home was indeed decorated nicely and dishes were pretty. This is not a reason to stay here.
We wish we had chosen a hotel. It would have costed the same, offered a shuttle and bag transfer and would have been more spacious. We were glad to get to our cabin on the cruise ship and spread out.
Overall this bnb is expensive for what is offered.

My husband and I stayed with Mary Ann for two nights and were very happy with our experience. The first floor room was comfortable, had a private bath right next door and included a table area for eating. Mary Ann prepared wonderful healthy breakfasts and placed them in the small fridge in the room so each morning you could enjoy coffee and your meal in private. I would definitely recommend her B & B to family and friends!
