Beach Parking Permits
Cost: $12.00
Beach parking stickers can be purchased at City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, local grocery and convenience stores, as well as various vendors and businesses in town and on the beach.

City of Port Aransas - Beach Parking Permit Information:

To park along the beaches in the City of Port Aransas, a $12.00 permit is required. This applies to the area from Marker (0) to Marker (62).

Free parking areas are available between the Jetties and Horace Caldwell Pier, as well as between Markers 52-58.

Other Things to Note:
Please pay close attention to following the HOUSE RULES: Non-compliance could result in sizable fines.
- All guests staying at a Portoro home are required to sign a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Please inquire for more information.
- All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing.
- To ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features, ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival and notify Portoro with any questions.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check-in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Pets are not allowed at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without Portoro’s approval, there will be a cleaning charge of $500.
- We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one-hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check-in or late check-out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- The home has cameras for external monitoring only.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both the City of Port Aransas and the State of Texas require all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6% and the city requires 7%.
- LONG-TERM STAYS: (Snowbird, long-term rental, winter Texas, winter Texan). Contact Starkey by Portoro to discuss if a long-term stay discount applies to this listing. Stays over 29 days are waived from paying the State and Local Hotel Tax. However, there are additional fees we need to collect for damage coverage and housekeeping. In compliance with our policies for long-term stays, we need to collect an additional cleaning fee for guests staying longer than 3 weeks. Your Guest Ambassador will coordinate the cleaning schedule for a minimum of once every 2 weeks. You can request cleanings more frequently if desired. Additional cleaning charges will be sent using a payment request or resolution request, immediately following the cleaning. Your guest ambassador will reply shortly and be available to assist you where needed.

Love this property and love this unit! Clean, friendly, secluded, and a boardwalk to the beach front! What more can you ask for!! This is our second time staying at this unit and we our now going to be regulars every summer! Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location to go back and forth between beach and condo for meals etc. Nice pool for evening when tired of waves. Owner had wagon, chairs, boogie boards we could use on beach. Second bedroom window needs covering because porch light is really bright through blinds. Master bedroom really comfortable.

We originally had 4 people scheduled to stay, but one couple could not make it. So for 2 people it felt very spacious. There is a boardwalk over the dunes to the beach that takes about 2 minutes to walk across. The pool is kinda plain but the deck furniture makes it a nice place to hang out. This is a nicely maintained property, I would stay here again.

Quick getaway before school starts. Was disappointed at first that I couldn’t get a higher floor unit but I’m glad I didn’t. The first floor was perfect and easy access to the beach. The patio overseeing the pool was great as well. Will definitely be back and use this property again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very satisfied with our stay at Peace of the Sea. The condo was very clean, it was conveniently on the first floor near the parking lot (which made it easy for loading and unloading with the provided carts), and you could still see the water from the balcony. The boardwalk and property were very well maintained as well! While we loved this condo, we will likely stay in one higher next time because the balcony is right in the middle of the pool action. If you want privacy while still enjoying the view you can’t keep your blinds open unless it’s early in the morning. The condo is also near an elevator, but the noise wasn’t too bad and a sound machine drowns out passerby's. We loved this property and the management company. We will definitely be back soon!
