Right from the start (booking) communication was excellent. We were made to feel welcome. The cabin was spotless and well stocked. The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. The stream in the adjacent ravine provided the loveliest soundtrack. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. I would book again if we return to this area.

A nice secluded cabin with an beautiful lake. We had fun hiking, kayaking, and exploring the area. If you want to have some peace, this is a great place to get away from the city.

We absolutely loved our stay here!!! The home was perfect, nice, well supplied kitchen, nice comfortable bed, nice shower, great location next to a beautiful lake. As this was our first time in Washington, we were too busy sightseeing to take advantage of the canoe and explore the lake..... maybe next time. Carol is a wonderful host, she is available at all times, and goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are happy and well situated. I cannot say enough good things about this place. and will certainly try to stay here again if i get a chance to return to this area.

Wonderful weekend!!
Fantastic rental!! Carol was a wonderful host and the cabin was wonderful. We were there to kayak and the cabin was super close to the boat launch. The neighborhood was nice and loved that deer would walk through. We would totally come here again!!

A getaway
The ratings above were difficult because while we had issues with OUR stay and I try to give honest reviews I BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT EXIST IN ANY WAY FOR FUTURE GUESTS. This cabin was rustic and the size was fine for us two girls -who had not seen each other in a while -to do some hiking, laughing and catching up. The location was easy once we found the cabin within the area. The owner was very responsive, thorough, and quick to communicate with us in EVERY way. There were some housekeeping issues, I know that many times the owners get taken advantage of between guests when housekeepers get a little lax. There were some other issues that I will not go into here because when I informed the owner, she exhibited the VERY BEST example of how to respond with grace and action when things aren’t as they should be. Well done, Carol. She already had a plan in place to fix the problems before the next season. So enough said. Future guests will no doubt find the cabin in tip top shape and a complete delight, I’m sure of it.
The mattresses were VERY comfortable, BTW, we slept very well while there! The cabin is set into the trees. Very private. Very peaceful. Lake Cushman is amazing, beautiful and there are wonderful trails nearby. We had no problems getting around. I highly recommend Ninas Cafe and the small coffee stand in the parking lot there was the best coffee I had during 3 weeks in Washington! Don’t overlook that little drive up coffee hut gem!

Yearly Fall Get-away
My wife and I pick a different part of the US to visit every fall and this year was the Pacific Northwest. This cabin was quaint and perfect for our place to rest and relax after a day of water fall excursions and great hikes. It’s in a quiet place with a the calming sound of a creek/ rapids along side it. Very comfortable and everything we needed.

Wonderful!
We loved our time at here! It was comfortable and cozy! We sat on the front porch listening to the creek babble while our kids lounged on the hammock. It was such a positive experience! The kids didn’t want to leave and we hope to be back soon!

Cozy cabin close to lake
My friend and I brought our kids to the lake for three nights and enjoyed the beautiful lake. The cabin had plenty of beds for the six of us and although there isn’t a/c we managed to stay cool enough at night by opening up windows that had screens (almost all of them do). The 10:00 check out time was a little earlier than we were expecting (the listing here says 11:00), but we made it work. Oh and one more thing to note: there was just one roll of t.p. in each bathroom and no more to be found, so we wish we’d brought some from home. :)

Wonderful cabin in a magical spot
Our family of four, all the way from VT, had a wonderful stay in Carol's cottage. She was generous, communicative about the cottage and things to do in the area, and a wonderful host. Additionally, Carol was super flexible when we had car trouble and had to adjust dates of our stay, making us feel so welcomed and cared for when we were so far from home.
The cottage is well stocked with all you could need for a getaway in the woods. It was a quick walk to the development's beach on Lake Cushman, which was surprisingly warm and ridiculously beautiful. The cottage is very private, yet feels close to the park and great hikes in and around the quiet Staircase area of Olympic National Park.
We were pleasantly surprised to find the spacious loft, which my 11 and 7 year old adored (I don't recall it being pictured in the cabin description). Lots of beach floats and even kayaks to play with, too! All in all, we had a lovely stay in Carol's cottage and are so grateful for her hospitality. HIGHLY recommended for a low-key, cabin vacation in Olympic!

1st time
We had a fabulous time at the Wolf cabin. It was the hottest weekend of the year and out cabin stayed fairly cool. The lake is just a very short walk to a nice grassy beach where the water is shallow for kids to play in. The cabin was very accommodating for a family of 4. We would love to come back and stay again.

Cozy home
The cabin was more than we could ask for for our little getaway. It had everything we needed and more. It's nestled in a wooded area which is so nice! We had a blast in the Hoodsport area!! We got married in the Olympic National Park just down the road from the cabin. Breath taking views. We will def be back. Thank you Carol!!

Relaxation in one very cute cabin
My family had a wonderful time staying here. Carol is a wonderful host! The cabin has everything you need. We enjoyed lots of chill out time on the porch and the nearby waterfront parks. Saw lots of deer right outside our window on several occasions. It is a lovely spot and we hope to be back.

Great stay
My husband, 2 year old daughter and I had a really nice stay at camp Wolf. It was close to the water and we took advantage of the canoes and kayaks multiple times a day! We went when the weather was wonderful and lake cushman was closed to the public so the public beach was absolutely beautiful with very few people. It was easy to carry the kayaks and canoe the short way down the street.
The cabin is stocked with everything you could need which we greatly appreciated. We were coming off of a big van camping trip so we had our own bedding and important kitchen supplies but the house had these amenities.
It was great bringing our 2 year old to the playground and swimming area via kayak every day. She thought this was the best trip ever!!
Carol was great with communication. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Best place!
Got this place for my family to stay that came in from IL to come to my wedding at Big Creek campground a couple miles away. The location couldn’t have been more convenient, and the cabin was absolutely perfect! Communication was great and my family was impressed with how well the cabin was stocked.
Would definitely recommend and stay again!!!

Charming cabin by the lake
We had a great getaway to this log cabin that is well-furnished (including a well-stocked kitchen). The owner, Carol, went out of her way to communicate very well with us throughout, and has lots of generous touches (staples in the kitchen avoid the need to carry minor things with you, canoes/kayaks you can use, marshmallow roasting sticks for smores) that all make everything a little smoother. We'll come again!

Amazing!
Camp Wolf is a wonderful cabin in the perfect location. We were blessed to see several deer come up through the yard. The bed and furniture are comfortable. We didnt need to use the heater the whole time we stayed. Mr. and Mrs. Wolf are an amazing couple that went out of their way making sure everything was perfect. They are so kind, and very attentive to any needs you may have. The cabin is very well stocked and had everything we needed plus some.We hope we are able to visit again. Hopefully start a tradition...and maybe even bring the kids(adults kids)next time. There was plenty of room for a family to enjoy the stay. We couldn't have asked for more. THANKS CAROL. We had an amazing time!

Cozy comfy lake cabin for Outdoor Sportsman
We enjoyed our stay and Carol was very accommodating and caring to us. We enjoyed watching 3 deer graze around the cabin as we drank our morning coffee. The interior is very country cabin decor. It is as described. We drove to Hoodsport for supplies and free WiFi at the library 24/7. We hiked the Staircase Park areas which is up the road. Hiked around a closed camp ground a couple miles away also, it was October. Made bit farther drives to Hurricane Ridge and Hoh rainforest areas of Olympic National Park. Hope to return! Thanks again.

Perfect getaway!
Loved the cabin and property! Beautiful trees, hearing the nearby stream at night, haven't slept that good in a long time. Everything you could possibly need is there, and has a really homey feel to it. Carol, will go out of her way to made sure all is well. Only 5 miles from Olympic national park. I highly recommend trying out the local trails there. Looking forward to making it out there again.

Nice cabin close to a beautiful lake
Comfortable cabin with everything you need very close to a beautiful Lake Cushman. Swimming and kayaking (kayaks at the cabin) a minute or two walk from the cabin. Quiet area with a creek running close-by. Mt. Ellinor with stunning 360 degrees views of Puget Sound and Olympics a short drive (and bit of a hike) away. Great, very helpful and responsive host. We could not ask for more.

Girls Trip
It was a wonderful place to stay! We all flew in from different places and used Camp Wolf as our 'base camp'. The pictures are what you get. It is a cozy cabin with plenty of room and accessories. Very clean and Carol was a joy to work with. She was in touch with us often and always available if we needed anything. It was wonderful sleeping to the sounds of a creek right outside. We would highly recommend staying here! Thanks Carol for allowing us to enjoy the cabin! It was great!!

Great Lake cabin
This was our second time to stay at camp wolf and it is a perfect base for exploring the area. Fun house with a great kitchen for cooking meals. It's a huge bonus to have the bikes, canoe, and kayaks. We hope to return in the future!

Wonderful getaway
We absolutely loved our stay at Camp Wolf. Everything was clean and well stocked, and the directions made it very easy to find. The area was peaceful and quiet, even on Independence Day. There is plenty of space between this cabin and the next, which allows for wonderful quiet and privacy if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. A highlight for us was taking the kayak up Lake Cushman for the day. We highly recommend this place!

Beautiful location, cozy cabin, gracious host! Could not have asked for more.
We stayed in several places during our 2 week trip to Washington state & the Wolf cabin is at the top of our favorites list! We enjoyed listening to the creek at night & birds chirping in the mornings. We had a fire in the fire pit every night and ate s’mores, graciously provided by the Wolf family. We kayaked in the beautiful lake right across the street from the cabin and hiked some trails at nearby Staircase. Our host, Carol, called to make sure we didn’t have trouble getting checked in and gave us great advice on things to do. She truly made us feel welcome & at home. Our vacation could not have been better & I hope we can return to this beautiful place in the future.

I wish we lived closer to do this again...
Very homey place when you first drive up on it. There are plenty of trees around and a small creek to one side. The cabin is small, but we had 5 people and were comfortable. We were outside a lot, however. So during colder weather it might feel cramped with more than four in my opinion. But Ms Wolf was wonderful and the cabin met our needs. They have kayaks and the lake is close by. The grill worked great and we had a great time investigating the area around Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest.

Hiking vacation
Wolf Cabin is spectacular! The owners have a wonderful home that is outfitted with everything you could want for. Close proximity to multiple hiking trails, a glorious lake, kayaks, bikes, and a secluded setting in a fabulous neighborhood. We could not have asked for a better place to stay as a base to explore the Hood Canal area. Although we were there for only four days, we could have easily spent a month here! Thank you Carol and Jimmy for opening your home to us!!

Quintessential Cabin in the woods.
Camp Wolf is everything when you think of a cabin in the woods. Even a real bearskin rug! We loved our time here and we would highly recommend it to any and all who would like to visit a beautiful lake, deer walking around grazing outside the cabin and wonderful hikes and sites nearby. P.S. Mattress on the poster bed is heavenly!!

Wolf Cabin
My husband and I had a wonderful packed 4 days at Lake Cushman. We hiked and kayaked our arms and legs off. The cabin was wonderful to come back too after busy days of activities. Every necessity was at the cabin. Life preservers, paddles, packs anything one might need was there. The 4 poster bed was tops. The BBQ was in fine working condition. Lake Cushman at night was magical. Wonderful experience!

Neglected
We stayed here last week in August 2017. Great bones on the place and warm, family touches. However, I think the owners are a bit in over their heads. We arrived to a grease-covered stove & oven, dirty pots and pans, chaotic bed linen situation, and mouldy shower curtain. Lots of other disarray in drawers and equipment porch, but a reasonable VRBO-level that I straightened a bit myself. However, I didn't expect to be cleaning an oven on my vacation (a 2 day ordeal), but we needed it for our planned meals. I called the owner early in on in our visit to give them a heads-up of the situation. The response was a lament of personal medical hardships and the complications involved in owning 8 (*eight*) homes. While I could sympathize with some elements, I disagree with owners' choice to continue renting to the public if they're unable to keep the place clean/hygenic/safe. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this cabin.

I took my family to this cabin for a little weekend getaway at the lake and it was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay than Camp Wolf. I spoke with the Owner of the cabin ( Carol) several times before our trip and she was so hospitable and told us that we were welcome to make ourselves at home. Carol called us the evening that we arrived to make sure that we got settled in ok and we did....We actually felt right at home there. The inside of the cabin is so inviting with the warmth of the lodge decor and the kitchen was stocked to the brim with everything anyone would need to cook or bake. It was nice to have access to a washer and dryer as well. We packed light because we knew we could do a load of laundry and I was even able to wash all our laundry before we came home so
I didn't have to do it when I got home.We enjoyed the private park at the lake that only residents with a pass can use, which was another nice bonus. Carol also let us use all their lake toys such as their kayak, life jackets, floating chairs, etc. The residents were very friendly and the park was very clean and maintained and had a play area for children. We loved staying here and we didn't want to leave. We will be back soon! Thanks from the McNall's

Do not hesitate booking this wonderful cabin. Both inside & out we found it to be clean, comfortable & well stocked. Lots of room with the loft & plenty of parking space too. If anything the photos do not show how lovely this is.With a ravene next to cabin it provides peaceful privacy, we fell asleep listening to a stream. It's also very close to the lake and hiking trails in old growth forest. We were delighted with this beautiful log hideaway and the owners could not have been more helpful & accommodating! Great place for kids too. Thanks for sharing Camp Wolf!! We'll be back.
