I can’t say enough about how amazing this cottage is. It’s quiet, cozy, comfortable, well maintained. The decor is right up my alley.
The owners were very responsive when we had a minor problem that was quickly resolved.

What a great location. Close to all that is special about the Point Reyes/Inverness area. The accommodations were fantastic. Very comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed. It was very difficult to leave at the end of our stay. Great host. We'd love to come back.

We have stayed at this cottage two times now and thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time at this well -appointed clean rental. The location is close to town, is very private and quiet. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout our stay, We highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

This cottage was in a very quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of Pt. Reyes downtown area. It was nicely and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked. We had come to hike, and we had lots of very scenic choices. The owners were right next door, but we would not have known they were there, especially with the artfully placed privacy fence. However when the electricity went out in a storm, they were at our door, offering to build us a fire and providing a ladder. We were happy and comfortable there, and we will definitely book again!

We just returned for a second stay at this cottage. It's perfect! Everything about it is comfortable. We love the hot tub. The wood stove works well and doesn't leak smoke. There are two good reading seats. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is clean and functional, as well as warm enough... not a given in this chilly climate! There are two tables, so you can leave a puzzle or game set up on one and eat at the other. Kitchen is well equipped. We can't wait to come back!
**Note that there is no microwave. There is a large toaster oven with plenty of oven-safe dishes to heat up your leftovers.**

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is a beautiful space, great kitchen, nice outdoor sitting area and hot tub. We enjoyed meeting Catherine and John. They are great hosts and very helpful. We hope to return in the not too far future.

The cottage is large and very comfortable. There are a lot of different sitting areas both inside and outside to enjoy the views of the private backyard. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was clean. We enjoyed the stay.

Overall this property is fine, clean and a good location. Doesn't have a microwave, which for travelers not wanting to cook is not great. The claw tub is difficult to get into and the shower could use updating, drain doesn't work very well. A lot of antiques which are not too practical for a rental--hard chairs and nowhere to sit and read comfortably. Bed is fine. All in all, this property is good if you are not too picky!

Loved it! Great communication with host. Close enough location to lots. I wouldn’t say it’s walking distance to town unless a half hour walk is what you’re up for. Best to have a car regardless as there is so much to do and see. Loved the hot tub although one side didn’t have working jets- I meant to tell the host and forgot. The bed was great! Not too soft or firm. If I could improve anything, it would be a new set of couches. The ones there are cool and antique, but you sink into them as they’ve had a lot of use and I’m not sure if it’s easy to keep them clean—which isn’t a big deal if it’s in your personal home, but something more durable and easy to clean would make sense for a guest house with lots of traffic. The host left fruit and yummy cheese and crackers and was just very responsive and helpful. I’d love to come back!

This is a charming cottage with wonderfully eclectic furnishings (and a very impressive library). Although it’s a studio, the floor plan is really well done . . . the space is quite large with a lot of natural light, and we loved the roomy and airy feel of the place. Opening the curtains on a wall of windows (and French doors) to a view of the private patio/garden in the morning was a wonderful way to start each day. The neighborhood was peaceful, the bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the two terry robes were a thoughtful touch. There is a hot tub by the patio, and on a cool evening it was a great way to end a day.
John and Catherine are superb hosts, treating us to a welcoming gift of fruit and local cheese and offering kind advice about the area when we asked. The location was a perfect “home base” for our explorations: birding the Point Reyes seashore, hiking the trails, visiting the redwoods, and enjoying the wine country. We stayed at the cottage for ten days and hated to leave.

It was relaxing for us. We enjoyed the tranquility of the area, the trees around us n waking up to the sound of different birds. We also loved the hot tub.

The rental unit was clean, with adequate supplies in the kitchen. The furniture is beautiful, but the overstuffed chairs and sofas were not as comfortable to sit in as I would have liked. The bed was on the small side and less comfortable than we had hoped. As is the case in many of the rental units we have used, the unit was under lit, making it difficult to read at night. The unit felt quite private, despite the fact that there are a number of people living on the property. Hot tube was great !

A quiet location in beautiful West Marin County overlooking Tomales Bay. Bountiful birds and animals. Lovely patio area with hot tub. Large studio cottage made cosy with antique and Indonesian furniture, beautiful exotic rugs and an inviting bed with crisp linens and a fluffy duvet. Fully equipped kitchen. Eclectic book collection. Every detail has been considered. Incredibly clean. The absolutely best part is the warmth of hosts Catherine and John. It is evident immediately that they are striving to give their guests not just a bed for the night but an experience of being pampered and cared for.

Close to the National Park
We spent 3 days here going to the National Park everyday to hike and look at the spectacular scenery. The property is just a couple of miles from the entrance making it easy to get there.
The property was comfortable. While one big open space it is broken up into smaller areas where one can feel cozy (especially the library corner). The kitchen has everything one would need (unlike some places that only have a few utensils.) While we didn't use, it the hot tub looked clean and was the water was nicely warm.

Bliss
Our stay in Three Oak Cottage was a delight. It was clean, beautiful, friendly, gorgeous, a perfect get away from city. Catherine was available if needed but not intrusive. We enjoyed the hot tub. We even saw a young fox and a doe with a fawn.The cottage has an extensive library. We were there for almost a week and will return.

Quiet and comfy cottage with all the comforts of home
Catherine has created a welcoming and private space next to a larger home with period furniture, a well-equipped, modern kitchen, a sleeping area with queen bed, and a private garden area with seating and a hot tub. The cottage was clean and offered everything we wanted and expected. There is good lighting (including skylights), WiFi, a nice bathroom, and different "spaces" in the studio for reading, lounging, resting, cooking, and just hanging out. Our host Catherine was responsive yet offered us complete privacy. Highly recommended for a couple looking to disconnect for a few days, explore nearby Pt Reyes National Seashore, and check out the small town of Pt. Reyes Station and its environs.

Great Place for Two in Pt. Reyes Station
The cottage was exactly as pictured and described. Check in was easy with some cheese and crackers placed near the instructions at the time of our arrival. The owner checked in on us via message, always making sure we had what we needed. The hot tub felt great on cold nights. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooking equipment, and pantry supplies. The out door BBQ grill worked great. We would stay again when returning to Pt. Reyes.

especially lovely luxurious cottage
We've never been in such a beautiful rental. Catherine's husband had lived there and filled it with beautiful and unique furniture. He was also generous with his time , helping this elderly couple get our luggage from our car to the cottage and back. We had a relaxing retreat and would definitely come again.

Checking into Paradise!
Cutest cottage, amazing hikes, kayaking and sightseeing! We saw coyotes, foxes, so many birds. In the water, baby manta rays and lots of jellyfish! We went to Marshal’s
for seafood!! Totally awesome experience!

Romantic and private getaway
We had a lovely getaway for our 23rd wedding anniversary - we were greeted with locally-made fine cheeses and fresh fruit - yum! The friendly owners lived in a house very close by, but were very respectful of our privacy. There were 2 other rentals on the same property but you could hardly tell due to the attention paid to making each property very private. Hot tub was a prefect temp and clean and just outside the cottage so very convenient to use. Unique and artsy decor including antiques and a fascinating and eclectic array of books. A few games and a small DVD library were available. No microwave. But there was a toaster-oven and old-fashioned stove. It was one large room, but very spacious with 2 sofas and nice-sized and well-appointed kitchen. We hope to go back again!!

The cottage is well designed with beautiful rugs and textiles. Although one big room, it is arranged so it feels like there are a lot of different nooks. The patio, hot tub and plants outside add to the aesthetic pleasure. At the top of a hill, it is very quiet and peaceful.The owner is very responsive and the cottage is fully equipped for cooking and hanging out.

A very nice cottage in a very nice environment
We really enjoyed our stay at Catherine’s cottage. It is well equipped with high quality things and it is in a very quiet environment. We walked to the town back and forth (~20 mins walk), enjoying the beautiful natural environment. Hot tub and the yard it is in are also very nice. Thank you, Catherine!

Holiday Retreat
We decided to steal away for Thanksgiving since we couldn't be with friends and family this year. This studio was a perfect retreat. It was so cozy (& clean) and had everything we needed for our getaway. Caroline was the perfect host. She was responsive, warm and available as needed. I only met her briefly one evening while heading out for a walk in the sweet neighborhood and she was just as friendly and gracious in person. We enjoyed the outside space and took daily walks. The studio is very close to the cute town of Pt. Reyes Station there are plenty of restaurant options and a great market as well as a little bookstore and other shops. The beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore is also nearby for hiking. I highly recommend this little oasis for other couples.

We again enjoyed the cozy comfort of this “studio” cottage (it feels bigger than studio implies because of high ceilings and outside patio and trees and light). Also, good to be able to cook full meals in a full and well-supplied kitchen. Catherine and John are lovely hosts.

Fabulous in Every Way!
The photos of this elegant (and yet cozy) studio don't do justice to its high beamed ceiling, gorgeous concrete floors and extremely comfy furniture. The kitchen has literally everything you could hope for, and every amenity is provided for comfort and convenience. Lovely private patio with outdoor space for eating, lounging and a hot tub to gaze up at stars. Heat works well. The property is obviously well loved and tended by owners who live next door and are available for any issue or question, but also respect guest's privacy. They are terrific hosts in every way. Location is ideal part of Pt. Reyes, quiet neighborhood, easy one mile or so walk to town. And nearby gorgeous view of the hills and mouth of bay.
