About this apartment rental

Located 1.3 miles from the luxury of Tahoe City restaurants and shops in the in the exclusive neighborhood of Lake Forest, you will find 'Sapphire Vista' studio with clean modern lines which create a soothing Sierra escape. Rather than hotel costs, you can cook and BBQ (not super gourmet, as it a mini kitchen with all needed with mini fridge, micro, and BBQ).
In Lake Forest, you have a small and serene studio rental with a high-end mattress for some deep z-z-z's. In the summer, walk across the street to explore magical Skylandia forest park and beach. Or take you pup to play at Bristlecone where locals bring to dogs to play on the beach. Walk to Sugar Pine Bakery for goodies and coffee or sandwiches to take to the beach.
Serene, modern, with a brand new well-appointed interior, this retreat by the lake offers some serious get-away for the budget-minded.
Guests here appreciate a more modern aesthetic, but also are comfortable in the cozy quarters of 430 sq. ft. This is Tiny House Beach Chic.
*Note: A home is being built next door, so there is some audible building 8am-6pm, but most are out enjoying nature during these hours....

The hosts were terrific. Even with my barking dog! The accommodations were exactly like the pictures. Cozy, modern and clean with Tahoe rustic mixed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. All the neighbors are super friendly. As well as their dogs. We felt very welcome.

We really enjoyed this little cottage on the lake! It is nicely decorated and clean with all the necessary things for comfort. We never needed for towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, kitchen ware, etc. I would suggest this is a good place for a couple or a small family of 3. Our daughter is 11 and didn’t mind sleeping on the pull out. The location is so private and off the beaten path. Lots of walking trails and parks within walking distance. You can see the lake from the bathroom and bedroom windows. Clean windows would have been wonderful to see the views but I understand this is the forest and we were there memorial weekend so it may not have gotten done yet. Anyway, we would come back for sure! 10 minutes from any eatery in Tahoe City and shopping. Hosts were very private and helpful! A Tahoe Gem for sure 🤗

Disappointed

With the snow storms and Caltans travel advisories & state of emergency we decided it was the best thing to cancel. We spent two nights in Roseville thinking we might make it up the mountain. We asked for a credit to use for a future visit. The owner denied our request & gave us information that was not accurate on road closers and safe travel. I rent my condo on VRBO & have made many accommodations for my guests due to pandemic & other uncontrollable situations. It’s the right thing to do.

Hunkering in the snow

It was perfectly adequate for me & my elderly dog, however the steep steps were a challenge for her. I didn’t need more than just a hot-plate & microwave, so the kitchenette was O.K. Someone shoveled the path to the parking area almost every day during our record snowfall, which was essential for me to walk my dog. One day I had to try to do it myself. Overall, we (my dog & me) we’re comfortable.
