What a lovely place for our stay! Impeccably clean, so nicely decorated, and such a wonderful location. We walked each evening for dinner… so easy! And the coral honeysuckle in full bloom in the garden was a real treat for native plant gardeners like myself! Will be back!!!

What a lovely place! The love that went into this rental was outstanding. Frank and Peter are incredible hosts, meeting us and explaining all the details. Our dog was welcomed with great fanfare. And the apartment was filled with touches that are both very stylish and yet warm and comfortable. We have rented accommodations on all 6 continents and this one definitely ranks in the top 10. Highly recommended!

This was such a good experience. The location of the apartment is really good, walking distance to downtown and close to a park for our pup. It was extremely well furnished with lots of thoughtful touches. We used the hot tub one evening and they even provided robes, beach towels and clogs! It was like staying at a high end resort but cozy.

Frank & Peter are great hosts. They met as when we arrived, an hour earlier than agreed, and were very gracious to let us check in. Their place exceeded all expectations. It was clean, well lit, and welcoming. The apartment had everything promised in the description, plus more storage than most apartments. Check was a breeze and included off street parking. The apartment was sparkling clean and well appointed. Frank and Peter are great hosts, willing to share their knowledge of Asheville or just let their guests wander about discovering Asheville and the surrounding area. They are also very welcoming of pets. We had our 70 lbs Old English Sheepdog with is and he couldn't have been more welcome by our hosts. The even had a dog treat with his name. All in all, we could not have asked for a better experience and are planning to return in 2024.

This is a well-appointed apartment in a quiet neighborhood just a walk away from everything in Downtown Asheville.
The guys are great, and we'll definitely stay at 47 Short again!

Frank & Peter were incredibly welcoming, friendly hosts who clearly have put a lot of thought and care into making their garden unit a perfect guest suite. (Literally, the back patio was such a lovely place to relax!) Just a few minutes from the center of downtown Asheville, yet the neighborhood still feels cozy, quiet, & completely residential. Basics like the bed, internet, bathroom, towels, etc were all perfect for our needs. We were able to get around easily on foot but also by car with the off-street parking. We hope to stay here again!

We had a blast in Asheville and that was mostly due to Frank and Peter’s place. It was clean, close to everything, and very comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and can’t recommend it enough!

Absolutely the best VRBO apartment that we have stayed at in many years! It is centrally located in the historic Montford neighborhood. The apartment is impeccably clean, well decorated and has all the items you might need for a stellar vacation. Peter and Frank were wonderful hosts who gave many suggestions on local restaurants and areas of interest. We will definitely stay there again!!

Just spent an amazing weekend in this dog friendly apartment. The hosts provided great service and amenities. The neighborhood is just beautiful and walkable to breweries and restaurants downtown plus Salvage Station. We ended up not using the kitchen amenities as much as expected, but the set up was very complete including tea and coffee. We’d be happy to stay here again!!

Weekend getaway with my husband and dog, and we loved the very walkable, comfortable, quiet and peaceful location. We felt very welcomed and cared for, and we loved the stylish decor. We felt very much at home. Thank you for a wonderful holiday weekend and for making us feel great.

The hosts Frank & Peter are awesome and have such an amazing flare for detail. The place was so welcoming and inviting when we arrived - music on a sweet jazz channel, lighting perfect, flowers in the kitchen and bath and oh so cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure. Thanks so much to the hosts who made our stay a wonderful delight in Asheville.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate his birthday and visit family that live in the area. It was the perfect location. Great historic neighborhood and easy access to downtown. Just a 2 minute walk away is All Day Darling a great spot for coffee and breakfast. Frank and Peter are wonderful hosts and their property is lovely; beautifully decorated, cozy comfortable furnishings and linens, everything you need and then some, including a box of Asheville Chocolates! We loved using the hot tub and really appreciated the robes, towels and outdoor slippers provided. Our pup enjoyed her stay too along with personalized doggie treats! Thank you!

We have rented many, many VRBO properties over the past ten years. Frank and Peter's comfortable one bedroom apartment ranks in our Top 5. The location was perfect. Close to downtown to walk to a few shops and restaurants, private back patio fenced in so our dog could stretch her legs while we enjoyed a glass of wine, easy parking at the property, safe neighborhood for walking our dog. The property itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sparkling clean, comfortable bed, ample kitchen supplies, and even robes and Crocs to enjoy the hot tub. Frank and Peter added so many other thoughtful touches right down to a welcome treat for me and my husband, and one for our pup. 15-minute drive to Biltmore. We'll be recommending this spot to everyone we know planning a trip to Asheville. Thank you, Frank & Peter.

My wife and I love coming to stay at this home for our trips to Asheville. You could not ask for anything else. The home is perfect, every detail accounted for. Easy walk to downtown and all the restaurants/breweries. The Montford neighborhood is very cool as well and there is a really good brunch spot just around the corner. Look no further than this home for your trip to Asheville!

Everything about our stay was perfect. Frank and Peter were so kind and welcoming, and gave us some excellent food recommendations. Their house has off street parking and is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from Downtown. We also enjoyed the 3 minute walk to All Day Darling. The hot tub was also a treat! I don't think I'll stay anywhere else in Asheville now!

Frank and Peter’s place is so much nicer, only 2 blocks from downtown, and in a beautiful walkable historic neighborhood.
They should have been hoteliers, because nothing in this apartment has been left to chance. When you enter you are amazed with how effective the space is used. The place is spotless, the decorations superb, and the hosts are like having a concierge at your fingertips..there is even a doorbell to call them if needed.
I stayed for two months which is not a typical stay as most are only a few days. I was able to cook with the high end cookware (Circulon) and had no trouble preparing meals with the large toaster oven and microwave. The bed is extremely comfortable and the comforter wrapped me in…well…comfort.
If you bring your dog, you will find the apartment very comfortable for them too, and when you go out to walk you will find that all the neighbors have dogs too.
I also must mention the fabulous big screen UHD TV. You will think you are there the picture is so astounding.
I could say so much more, but you probably get the point. If you are coming to Asheville for a short or long stay, consider this wonderful apartment instead of a hotel. You will be glad you did!

This lovely apartment is nicer than any of the hotels in the area and as nice or nicer than most B&Bs. For the same price (or less in some cases) as the aforesaid you get more space and comfort. The living room /kitchen area is large: a comfortable sofa, armchair, small desk and a huge TV define the living area which is separated from the kitchen further by a half wall. There is a table that seats four and the most adorable yet functional small kitchen that is completely equipped for man and beast( we didn’t have to unpack the dog’s dishes), including pod and French press coffee, plus all variety of beverage glasses. The separate bedroom is spacious: a very comfortable queen bed (with nice linens), nightstands WITH DECENT READING LIGHTS on both sides, a chest of drawers, a dressing table and a good size closet (hotel type amenities inside in case you forgot your robe or slippers ). The bathroom is clean and nice.
This is not some randomly put together basement apartment. Clearly a lot of thought went into its construction, and quality materials and finishes were used; no short cut hollow doors or cheap plumbing fixtures. The unit is very tastefully decorated with eclectic pieces and art, not looking like stuff that didn’t fit into the main house, but like pieces that were chosen to complement the space.
Add to this the fact that the apartment and the neighborhood are totally dog friendly. Also, downtown Asheville shops and restaurants are a less than five minute walk. The All Day Darling cafe is a block away.
The owners are very nice and are right upstairs if you need them but are not intrusive. We did hear them moving around, but not problematically. We have visited Asheville quite a bit over the years and so far this stay gets highest marks !

Wonderful Property
This was by far one on the nicest properties we’ve stayed at. While not the largest, the owners put such thought into the unit that every square inch counts. The planning & quality of the materials put into the property are evident. You will find so many thoughtful touches - tea, coffee, sweetener, fresh flowers and a welcome gift of chocolate. Frank & Peter are amazing hosts right nearby upstairs yet totally non intrusive. Great job, guys. We will be back.
