Was nice for the days we could stay. Left halfway through due to Hurricane Debby.

We had a great week on the island! Communication with the host was awesome. House was great. Had everything we needed for our stay and overall was very clean. We loved the convenience of the locatuon. You felt like you were so far away from everything because it was so peaceful but with just a short drive down the road you had everything at your fingertips! We had plans if spending a couple days at the waterpark and Busch Gardens and wow this is convenient. 20 to 25 min drive and your there which is really great after a long day. Then your only an hour from Virginia beach. Great fishing on the island. Hist was very kind and let us fish off their beautiful pier. The sunsets are amazing from there. Wish our weather was better so I could have enjoyed more of them. Overall great experience. Just make sure you bring bug spray. The mosquitoes are feirce but manageable.

House was great. aC is a little finicky and had to be repaired during our stay. Lots of ants and bugs. An exterminator should be called but overall the house is amazing. The mosquitoes prevent use of the amazing deck and the view but that is no fault of owners. Private boat launch was nice and it is very secluded, yet close to lots of attractions. We would stay again

This is the second occasion we have stayed at the cottage for a month and can’t wait to return again! Location is heavenly nothing better than sitting on the deck watching the wildlife in the garden and on the York river. The house is also very well situated for Williamsburg with all its attractions. A home from home with regard amenities. Donna and Mike are great hosts and are very responsive to their guests. Would not hesitate to recommend this home.

My husband, chihuahua and I stayed at the cottage for 4 days while in Virginia. We loved the view of the water from all the windows that allowed natural light in. We watched all the birds and crabs while sitting on the back porch. The location is great for visiting all the Historic areas. We took a segway tour and Ghost tour in Yorktown. We spent a whole day walking around in Williamsburg. Being a history buff my husband really enjoyed it. I even learned a few things. LOL I would recommend staying here if in the area.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Peaceful, quiet, tranquil. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Met with longtime friends for a getaway. The place isn't fancy, but we weren't looking for fancy, just a quiet hideout. Would stay again.
