We had a wonderfully relaxing 4-day stay at this property over the 4th of July weekend. Other reviews of its cleanliness are accurate, and it is a comfortable place to stay and unwind or use as a base for any manner of excursions.
Its proximity to Timberline ski resort (just walk over) would be great in the winter, and during the off season means you have a very quiet corner of the world to enjoy. It backs up to the creek and there is plenty of wildlife to watch.
When we arrived, there was a problem with the hot water not flowing from the hot water heater to the faucets or showers (lukewarm at best), but the owner was incredibly responsive and followed up during the holiday to ensure it was fixed ASAP - sending over their handyman on the 4th. It turned out that the issue was a troublesome airlock in the pipes due to repairs that had been made earlier. The handyman was friendly, conscientious (he stayed until he had triple-checked that it was fixed!) and gave us all sort of local tips on hikes, trailheads, and where to find the biggest patches of wild blueberries ripe for the picking!!!
The king size bed upstairs was on the soft side for us, but comfortable, and the other beds were a mix of firmnesses - Goldilocks herself would have found one that was just right, no matter what her preference. The linens were soft and clean - a nice touch.
The hot tub was clean and in good condition...I'd only suggest a cover lift to make opening it easy for one.
Would stay again!

Loved our time in this cabin. The house had everything we needed. Everything was clean and decorated nicely. The master bedroom bed was so comfortable. Great location to shops and restaurants.

Everything was great, easy communication, and the cabin was well stocked

Cabin was fine and owner was quick to respond to a minor issue. We were there in April and there were only a few places to eat open during the week days. Other than that the place if good. Watch out for all the deer!

A lovely stay at a good house! It was nice being able to swing back “home” for lunch while spending most of the day on the slopes!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and in the perfect location for skiing. Plenty of towels, beds and a fully stocked kitchen! We hope to visit again soon.

We were incredibly pleased with the set up and location of this space. We had two families (4 adults, 3 small kids), so the two bathrooms and separation of floors allowed families to have separate spaces, particularly helpful at bedtime. Being able to access the house during the ski day, and being just down the road from other great adventures made the weekend fantastic (along with the 8 inches of fresh snow).
Two things to note that surprised us, the main bedroom upstairs is a loft space, so lots of noise transfer between downstairs and upstairs. And it is truly at the bottom of the mountain, so much so the property backs into an equipment storage space.
Overall great stay! We'd go back.

The house is a good size for group of 4 adults. Beds are very comfortable. Hot tub is great after hiking & tubing all day. The only issue was that the side door & the back door don’t lock properly.

Great location close to Timberline which was reason for our stay. Everything was as expected. Will definitely stay again. Our granddaughter and dog both didn’t want to leave.

Enjoyed our stay at this cabin during our ski vacation. The first day it was 5 degrees and too cold to ski with grandchildren. This house was warm, had great WIFI, board games and other things they could do. We cooked family meals, had a great time. It is about 300 yards out the back of the cabin to Timberline ski resort; very convenient and avoided parking issues. We hope to stay here again.

Our family of 4, plus 2 fur babies enjoyed our stay. The house was neat and clean, except for some cobwebs up high in the raftors (but expected in the woods). Outside light was on when we arrived making it easy to get in. It snowed the entire time we were there and the driveway was plowed well. Our dogs loved being able to run in the snow and disnt want to come inside. Being walking diatnce from Timberline was really nice as we enjoyed 2 great days on the slopes. We would.have loved to use the hot tub, but being only 10 degrees outside i couldnt bring myself to go outside!! We enjoyed our trip to the little Market at the end of the road. Communication was great and enjoyed our conversation with David when we called to checkout. We hope to return in the future for more great skiiing!!

We enjoyed our stay in cabin close to ski slopes. Cabin was located in private lot, even if right next to parking lot fence , we loved to have slopes just at our view from cabin and quick access to lifts. Hot tub was a treat after skiing .
Cabin was well equipped, we loved sleeping at loft. Only one thing was bit unpleasant, and it was a lot of heavy spider webs at high ceilings . Should be taken care of, especially since other people mentioned it as well in previous reviews.
Great communication with owner. Would come back next time .

The cabin was very nice and convenient to the places we wanted to visit. We loved seeing the deer every day in the yard and walking in the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed in this cabin for five days in the fall. We enjoyed hiking in Canaan and Blackwater during our stay. The kitchen has both a regular coffee pot and a generic keurig type. Lots of spices and is well stocked as advertised. No cooking oil but we brought our own just in case. Cabin is nice and cozy. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Only complain is that there was a good bit of hair in the downstairs bath tub that I had to clean out. It appeared as though the tub was not cleaned. Everything else was fine though.

Really enjoyed the cabin. Kitchen was well stocked and hot tub was very enjoyable. Got to see plenty of deer in and around the property. We loved everything the cabin offered only downfall, was when using GPS the designation, where it ended was not near where the cabin was at. My family and I will definitely be rebooking for next year.

Loved the location. The property was great. Could have used a good dusting upstairs, behind doors, and fans. Enjoyed time in the hot tub and sitting by the fire. The fire alarm was going off to change the batteries and maintenance was there within 30 mins! Great owner and maintenance team. This place was so quite! It was perfect! I can’t wait to go back in the spring! Or late in the fall when the leaves change. Dog friendly was a plus!

A sweet cabin tucked into the trees. Centrally located to all the parks for days of hiking in beautiful country. Close (very close) to the ski lifts if winter sports is what you are looking for. The cabin is as described. The hosts are easy to contact and very receptive ( the blowdryer was MIA and a replacement was delivered wthin hours of my text)

We overall thought of our stay here as above average in some aspects. I really feel the kitchen is extremely well equipped. Spices, towels, appliances were great!! The hot tub was nice with the exception of the location over seeing a broken fence, looking into a construction site that started work at 7 AM. I wouldn’t say this is the owners fault, this is something that probably happened after they bought the place. The fence should be replaced though— the yard is nice. The furniture really needs replacing, as other people have stated for years , the couches are so uncomfortable I think after hiking so much the only thing that bothered us wasn’t our sore muscles or anything it was our sore back from sitting on the couch. I just think the place needs updating. Maybe the owner should come and stay for a weekend and see what it’s like that’s all it would take.

Stayed in August 2023. Location in Timberline is great. Loved the hot tub. Wish the sliding doors had a screen so we could have breeze without bugs. Grill was not cleaned. Note the upstairs is open to the downstairs (true loft/no door). If you’re a light sleeper it could be a problem. Lots of kitchen equipment and nice fire pit area. Overall good stay.

Inside the Cabin is pretty needs a few odd and ends needs fixed or replaced.Diffently had almost everything you would need. Our family enjoyed the hot tub, and the little fire pit. The outside of the cabin the yard could use a little decor. Also should fix the part of the fence that is down just to make it look better. There is lots to do around we went to Senca Rocks, Smoke Hole Caverns, The Ice-Cream Shop, Blackwater Falls State Park, and Cool Springs. This is our 3rd cabin stay up there. And will Diffently be back for another soon.

Second time here. Owner added two window AC units which was nice, but even in July didn’t use them much after the initial few hours. (Air was more stale than hot and a few AC hours and we were fine with them off, it got down to 58 at night so we kept windows open most of the time and there were two box fans too so we were fine). Well stocked kitchen. Great, quiet location. Close to Seneca Rocks and Blackwater Falls SP and Dolly Sods. The trash situation could be improved as it’s sucks to have to drive to owners mom house with trash upon leaving, but we just did ours the night before which was doable. Loved the deer sightings and the rain on the roof. Davis is close and offers a grocery store and an awesome ice cream shop among other novel shops. Great cabin to spend a restful week at.

Great place! Just minor issues. Great location. Plenty of room for family of 5. Hot tub under the stars was great. Provided firewood came in handy for the fire pit. Owner is great to work with. C

My husband and I spent our 44th wedding anniversary at Creekside Cabin with our 2 dogs. It was beautiful, quiet, and plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We stayed there for Thanksgiving 2012 so it was good to be back again.

The cabin was adequately supplied with everything we needed. I was impressed with the couch covers for the dog (we brought one with us, not knowing you had them). The location was very nice and private, the outdoor fire pit was lots of fun. I would like to stay there again. Thanks for making your home available to us.

The property was as described and met our expectations. The area was wonderful and offered so many activities to enjoy, if you are into the outdoors and/or art, as the nearby town has a thriving art community.
The home was clean, comfortable, and quiet!

We were here in between seasons. It was extremely quite and cozy.
Perfect spot between Seneca Rocks/Dolly Sods and Blackwater Falls State Park.
The towns of Davis and Thomas are quaint little towns.

Place was a bit smaller than I was hoping. We had 8 people and it was kind of tight on cold rainy days when we didn’t get out much. Location is nice but view from rear of house is a broken fence and some old equipment from timberline. Hot tub is nice and house is everything we needed for a place to eat and sleep. It is clean and has a sufficient amount of bed linens and towels. Not super easy to find. GPS took us to the wrong house. Just follow directions that you are sent. We fixed a couple door knobs and the grill while we were there. Only one of the bedrooms is upstairs. Instructions to get in were easy to understand. Shops and fishing are close by. Not extravagant but very nice and affordable.

Overall this was a nice place and a good location that was close to several things to do. We really enjoyed the hot tub. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness of the cabin. There was wet laundry in the washing machine and a load of towels in the dryer. There was also some sort of sticky, crusty substance on the couch. These weren’t huge issues and it didn’t take any enjoyment away from us. It was mainly just a minor inconvenience to remove the laundry from the dryer, then put the wet laundry in the dryer. I would stay in this cabin again.

The stay was nice and peaceful. Enjoyed the hot tub. Very clean. Bryan answered all questions. He's even helping us get something back that we left there. One of the best rental experiences I've ever had!
