We enjoyed our stay here. The place was beautiful I got some great pictures of the Eagle and we caught lots of fish. Some big bass catfish and more! We took the kayaks out each day and only had one rain day which was still peaceful staying in. The inside was clean and very comfortable would definitely recommend

Perfect ski house for our family of 3 couples and two young kids. Convenient to Okemo, especially Jackson Gore Base. Nice mix of rustic cabin charm with modern, well equipped kitchen. Lake views are amazing with a bald eagle and merganser ducks to watch. On a sunny, warm afternoon we enjoyed sitting outside on the spacious deck for après-ski. The property specs, pictures and reviews are accurate. We offer our recommendation and will plan to return again.

We stayed over NYE weekend, 2 families skiing at Okemo. The house fit our needs perfectly. Has everything we needed and instructions from the owner were helpful and accurate.

The cabin is a perfect mix of rustic and upgrades. The view is beautiful and there's a huge wall of windows which allows you to appreciate it inside or out. Comfortable beds and furniture. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

The house was clean, lovely and well equipped. It had all the comforts we needed to stay in and cook, watch movies or have game night - but mostly we just stared out at the lake and mountains (with a nice local beer and some Plymouth cheese). Early morning tea on the deck with the gorgeous views up the lake was my favorite time of day - and we were usually joined by the resident bald eagle, perched in the tallest tree on the nearby island. There were also mallards and wood ducks around most of the time. We even managed to catch some fish right from the deck! We didn’t get a chance to use them, but there were kayaks and a canoe and a nice fire pit. We look forward to a return trip where hopefully we can get out on the water. Joelle was terrific - quick to answer any questions- but we didn’t have many as the instructions for arrival and departure were very clear. We’ve tried several other places and are so happy we have finally found a place we hope to return to.

What a week we had! So close to Okemo that you feel spoiled. We all had a blast watching the family of bald eagles while eating breakfast getting ready for our day. We will definitely be coming back! Maybe summer next time?!

This home is located only 10 min from Okemo Mtn making getting to the mountain fast and easy. The house is very cozy inside and very well equipped if you plan on cooking your own meals. My friend's and I had a great time there with plenty of room and space for at least 6 people to hangout together in the living room and even at the kitchen table.

Loved our 10 day stay!! Great Lake views from wrap around deck, kitchen, dining area, sun room, primary bedroom and primary bathroom, and upstairs sitting area Large kitchen with room and all necessary items to cook Furniture and primary bed very comfortable ( didn’t use other beds)

Our extended family had a long weekend retreat at this lovely lakeside retreat. There was ample space for all of us (4 BRs, 3 baths), and the combination kitchen, dining area, and den, with views allowed us all to be together while some of us cooked. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit, the deck and the kayaks. Very close to town (Ludlow) and nearby tourist areas of Plymouth Notch (Calvin Coolidge Historic Site) and charming Woodstock. We had a rainy day or two so it was very convenient to have the washer/dryer. The kitchen was well appointed, and there were lots of towels, etc. Our only nitpick would be that it might be time to upgrade the bathrooms to make them as nice as the home and the property, but they were serviceable. We would definitely return.

We loved this lake house. Views of lake were amazing. We even saw 2 bald eagles sitting on a branch during a snow squall. Plenty of room for family of six. Large table for eating or playing cards. Nice fireplace too. Well stocked kitchen as well. Would recommend 4 wheel drive in winter. Would think renting in the summer would also be awsome.

Stayed here over president's day weekend and it was absolute perfection. The house itself is so cozy and welcoming. We had 8 people stay very comfortably! And the view of the lake is stunning—my friends and I watched a family of bald eagles circle around their nest! Most notable is the proximity to Okemo. The mountain is no more than a 10-minute drive, which is worth its weight in gold, especially on a holiday weekend (we were able to wake up and secure great parking each day we skied). Joelle was a fantastic host, her instructions were very clear, check-in and check-out were simple and seamless. She's done a wonderful job maintaining the property, and it really shows. My friends and I loved staying here so much, that we're hoping to come back for an annual ski trip. If you manage to book a stay here, consider yourself very lucky!

The house is cozy yet spacious. Beds are very comfortable. We stayed during ski season, but would love to return in summer and enjoy the lake. The owner is very responsive. Everything was as we expected. There is a beautiful view of the lake as a bonus.

We loved the location on the lake and the house was very spacious inside. We loved the sitting/reading area off the side of the kitchen and playing games at the big table. The house was heated very well on the cold days we were there. Joelle was very responsive and a great host. Would stay here again!

Spent three nights here for a quick mid-week ski trip to Okemo. The location is amazing -- on a beautiful lake but only four miles (ten minutes) from Okemo and all the amenities nearby. Well-stocked kitchen, great fireplace (with all the wood we could use), beautiful views of the lake from the kitchen/dining room. The four bedrooms were all spacious, and the house having three full baths was also quite nice. All of this, plus a very reasonable price, makes this a house we will definitely book again for our next trip to Okemo. Five stars all the way!

This house is perfect. The location was right on the lake for ice fishing and minutes to Okemo. The house was clean and spacious, the pictures do not show how bright and airy it is. We had a perfect weekend here.

We had a great weekend on Lake Rescue. The house had everything we needed, and Shaw's Grocery was a short drive away. Well-stocked kitchen with a large dining table. The fall weather was nice enough that we had most of our meals on the deck. We definitely want to come back next year.

We had a lovely time at Lake Rescue--The house was lovely and comfortable, and my husband, (who has been coming to Lake Rescue since childhood) myself, our two daughters, their spouses, and our 3 grandchildren (4 1/2 year old twin girls and 3 year old boy) had a wonderful time. This property is fantastic. The water access was great for our kids. A perfect place to jump in the lake. We brought paddle boards that worked out great, leaving them on the dock during our stay. Highly recommended. We enjoyed every minute.

Great stay! Easy check in, great location. Lots of wildlife viewing. Would be nice to have a table and chairs on the huge deck to enjoy the view of the lake. Other than that it was a great stay.

The location of the house was ideal. We were right on the lake and had access for swimming off the dock and kayaking. Okemo, Woodstock, Grafton, Killington easy day trips and beautiful scenery and good hiking everywhere. Plenty of beds and bathrooms and room for everyone with privacy. We heard loons on the lake and it was breathtaking. Joelle is very responsive and helpful. We would recommend and would stay again.
