Super cute & cozy. Quiet neighborhood, master bedroom has a perfect view of the water. The host was so friendly and house was very clean. Toddler friendly which was important to us, as this was a girls trip with my 1.5 year old and best friend. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed staying here for a weekend visit to Mystic. Fantastic location near the water - you can see the water from the house and a walk around the block is a walk next to the shore. It had everything we needed and more. Clean, safe, good A/C (which we needed in August). Would definitely book this place again.

I cannot rave about this house enough. The home has recently been renovated and has a modernized kitchen and bath yet is so cozy. It is within WALKING distance of downtown Mystic! Perfect grill setup and fire pit to lounge around with ample parking space. The sunroom is dreamy within 180 degree ocean views. This place does not disappoint and the host is quick and responsive. Great stay!

Refreshing stay at Mystic
Lauren's place checks all the boxes for a comfortable vacation rental in an idyllic setting, close to Mystic downtown.
The living areas and yard are designed for you to soak in the river views and picturesque surroundings. The kitchen is well-equipped with some pantry essentials (salt, sugar, oil) in stock. The bedrooms while compact served the purpose for our family.
We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it for families or small groups.

Ladies Weekend Trip!
We had a quick ladies trip weekend and stayed at this perfect location in Mystic! The house came with everything we needed. About a 15 minute walk to downtown Mystic and we all felt safe walking back late from the downtown area. The house has three bedrooms and we all slept comfortably. We all shared the one bathroom. My only note to mention for those that have any mobility issues, getting in and out of the tub can be a little difficult. Aside from that we ate outside one morning and had breakfast on the lawn and the views from the house can't be beat. Lovely town and home, would come back in a heart beat.

This property is gorgeous. So relaxing with a full panoramic view of the ocean in the sitting room. Very clean and comfortable. I could actually sleep in these beds without my back killing me. So close to everything in Mystic. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again!!

We loved the location and amenities of the property. The house had everything we needed to make our time there enjoyable. We are from Texas and were looking forward to the cooler temperatures during our visit. The biggest heat wave to hit the northeast in 7 years arrived during our visit. While some of the restaurants and the Mystic Aquarium were stifling when we visited, the A/C in the house kept us cool and comfortable when we were home. We would highly recommend the property!

We stayed here with our 2 young children (3 and 1) and the house was perfect for us! I was surprised how great the views were out the master bedroom and in sitting room area. The pictures just didn't do it justice! The house was clean and cutely decorated. It was a great mix of keeping original, charming older features with updates throughout (kitchen and bathroom both updated nicely). With 2 little kids we do end up staying in the house more than we would if traveling alone (naps, earlier bedtimes, etc) and this was perfect for us. While the kids napped or went to bed, we were able to relax and enjoy the views. We went in early October, so didn't use the fire pit outside, but that would have been perfect another time of year. There were some closer restaurants that were more walkable, but also walking into downtown Mystic wasn't that far at all. Our 3 year old was able to make the walk just fine, while the youngest rode in the stroller. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute house, close to town
Well kept house that was easy for our group of 5 adults to relax and hang out. We were in town for a reunion, so we did not stay in the house much, but enjoyed it while we were there. The Owner was very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and things to do. The only downside for us was having 5 adults get ready with one bathroom (but we knew that when we rented the property.) I liked the proximity to Mystic's main street, and the water views. I would definitely stay here again!

Tranquil, comfortable haven for resting, relaxing, enjoying meals and family. Great location
Our third summer in Mystic and this feels like our"summer home", and we keep returning to it.
I've contributed other reviews from earlier years but i wanted to say again after three years how satisfying it was to stay here. I echo the superlatives from everyone else, and say it's just a wonderful place. To me the way the house is furnished matters--this one is elegant but not stuffy, pale, "beachy' but not thrown together, it has a real style to it. It feels like it's really private, and the view of the water is sublime.
You keep your privacy: the owners could not be more hospitable and flexible, they are easy going and stay out of your way, but they are at the ready if you need them.
Each year i notice more about what i love--it's a discreet, beautifully appointed house but it has the most sublime location, with, a view of the water that faces you from every room on the first floor and on the second floor from the master bedroom. The sun room is a particular plus, it invites lounging, reading, and writing if that's your thing, - and If you like tranquility and comfort, peace and quiet as we do, the location is a big draw--this has the best of any i know of..it's off the main drag, not near stores or noise but within walking distance of them.
I'm into cooking and the kitchen is great,, that matters also with giant marble counter, new appliances and it is surprisingly well stocked with condiments and oil to cook with, not much has to be bought except raw ingredients. After the first two years i only brought my stick blender for making soups, everything else is there. In fact turned out i didn't need that this year, there is a blender, too! There is also a cool kitchenware store in Old Mistick Village to buy gadgets but the house really has a lot of pots, pans, knives, and tools actually for a rental. Fully stocked. I've rented other places and none are stocked like this.
If you are affected by your surroundings and not just looking for a place to sleep, this is the one. I would love to try it in the winter if they ever decide to rent it out! - We live in the city and there is an atmosphere to the house that is very romantic and cozy. It is a haven for us.

The second year in a row, it's still perfect
We stayed here a year ago for a few days and were so happy, we rented again but for two weeks this year.
Once again, we were so comfortable and satisfied with this airy, elegant house, its amenities, and location. It's in great shape after having had many renters since its inaugural year, still in nearly new condition. The house is a gem, furnished in very good taste---low key, comfortable, nicely proportioned furniture... very easy to keep clean on a longer stay. The house isn't sterile looking even with the very modern conveniences, it has some nice antique or country touches. The great kitchen, big marble countertop, for some more ambitious cooking than last time-- a lot of knives, bowls, pans, everything you need for a serious meal. Even baking tins.Everything works. t's a well equipped, comfortable home.
The location is what makes a vacation special=== how close are you to what you need it to be. We got more into the area, a stone's throw from the water, a gorgeous view, quiet neighborhood with dirt roads and old fashioned mailboxes, no sidewalks, picturesque Connecticut. To this citygoer it was heavenly, peaceful and private taking walks, but not deserted or too far from civilization. . A I settled in with my family and enjoyed leisurely days when i stayed in and cooked,or read, did crossword puzzles, wrote and took long walks around the town, it's so pretty. The owner is lovely: warm, helpful and informative, but not overbearing, communicates quickly and easily when needed. We hope to return again and again.

Cute and cozy -- a perfect little spot
This welcoming home feels like it is right out of a Restoration Hardware catalog... It is smartly decorated, with themes of Block Island and modern lithographs of fishing, inventive lighting, and comfortable furniture. Views out of several windows onto the mouth of the Mystic River made simply sitting at home quite relaxing and peaceful. Kitchen is modern, air condition keeps the house consistently and evenly comfortable, and the floor plan makes the home feel bigger than it's square footage. We had a family of four there for a month, and we felt we had plenty of space. Powerful washer/dryer in the basement made large volumes of summer beach laundry easy to handle. Owners are extremely gracious and accommodating.

Fairly ideal.
Very clean place recently renovated to a high standard but keeping the old Southern Pine trim and windows. In a quiet neighborhood very close to great Thai food and a couple marinas. Short bike ride or medium walk to the seaport or down town. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. All 3 bedrooms are grouped together upstairs with 1 bath. That was fine for us. A very comfortable place with well equipped kitchen. I'll book it again.

Amazingly spacious and comfortable Mystic Cottage
My family and I stayed in this cottage for a long weekend over Memorial Day and simply loved it. Me, my husband and three grown children found the house very spacious.
The three bedrooms were very accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable. Never slept better.
The bathroom was nice and large and newly renovated. My two girls enjoyed the very large tub. The only downside was that the bathroom was upstairs. Not a total deal breaker, but I would suggest putting a railing on the upper part of the stairs.
The house was incredibly decorated in a seaside motif and very inviting. The kitchen was very big and with newer appliances. I really enjoyed cooking in it.
The neighborhood was nice and quiet and the neighbors were very nice. We enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit almost every night. We appreciated the well stocked wood pile.
The house is located very near most of the attractions at Mystic and there are store and conveniences nearby as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
Thank you.

Lovely New England Cottage!
My husband and I stayed over Labor Day weekend. It was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The home has character and style which made it feel like home. The location was wonderful, just a few minutes walk to downtown Mystic where parking can be a challenge. Hope to return again on another visit to CT.

Could not be more perfect---location, comfort, and beauty, plenty of room, privacy, and variety
Even much more beautiful, convenient, and spacious in person- you don't realize how much went into making it so comfortable because it seems so natural and 'easy'. Decidedly rural feel, but everything is actually modern and convenient.
Each room has its own personality and qualities of airiness, coziness, or light. It's elegant,so clean, and stylish. Homey mixture of old and new--Antique wood and original framing, but with new, comfortable, high quality furnishings. Beautiful muted color schemes.
We enjoyed doing different things in each room, all provided great views, and privacy, seemed spacious but cozy at the same time.
Cooking was a pleasure with the gigantic granite counter, top quality appliances, including, happily, a wonderful coffeemaker. I do love to cook and the kitchen was enticing--equipped with good pots, tools, nice dishes, glasses, and most generously ---basic condiments, no need to buy olive oil, spices, sugar, etc,for the 6 days we were there. I only made one trip to the market the first day just for what we wanted to cook and were set for the week.
Excellent lighting throughout the house, plenty of storage,
and remarkable (to us city dwellers)--- an air cooling system-- silent, and remarkably consistent 'climate control'.
Extremely comfortable beds. We woke up rested and happy..whether it's tempurpedic or something like it, mattresses were great. Silky smooth high thread count sheets, great pillows. Like a good hotel---top notch.
The bathroom has a terrific venting system that clears steam or odors out very fast, with good new fixtures, wonderful rain shower head and double sinks, and a vanity with storage
All of the furnishings are luxurious without being self conscious-, they invite use and comfort, you can loll about.
Outstanding location-- Everything closer than it seems on the map, it's secluded and convenient at the same time. A 2 minute walk to the railroad station though it seems so far away --no sound of trains.
Mystic village and seaport are about a mile on foot and by car, 2 minutes or so...
everything is right there but you feel as if you are out in the country.
The owner was so helpful with information, before and during our stay-===accommodating, nice, and patient.
Can't wait to return. Outstanding, my only worry is that it will become so popular we won't get to stay there again!
I was thrilled with this house. It's worth every star, if there were 6 I would give it 6.

A perfect getaway
We had the pleasure of staying at this waterview property during our 6 day visit with family who live locally. The views were incredible! This home had all of the necessary amenities to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The kitchen was large and well stocked for all of our needs and we were able to prepare certain meals without difficulty. There was plenty of room for our 3 children to spread out, read or play games. The off street parking has room for two cars and we used the sun room as often as possible. There is only one bathroom which is on the second floor which may be difficult for individuals with mobility issues, but it was sufficient for our family of 5. There is plenty of storage everywhere, including the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms and the owners provided quite a few additional items such as hand soap and dish detergent that we often forget when traveling. Full size washer and dryer were also a great addition for keeping beach towels ready for constant use. we were so close to town we were able to walk to several restaurants and even took a late evening walk into town just for an ice cream cone at the drawbridge. Everything is very accessible. The Amtrac is just down the street but you can't hear it go by at night. The owners gave some wonderful suggestions of area attractions, nearby restaurants, and local stores. Everything is so easy to get to! I would highly recommend this home and location for so many reasons. It really fits the bill whether you want to be close to area attractions or if you want to get away. Thank you so much for an unforgettable week in Mystic!

Terrific stay in Mystic!
This house rental is terrific. The owners were very responsive, and the rental was as described (even more charming in person). It's a three bedroom house: all of the bedrooms are upstairs, and the downstairs has a spacious kitchen and dining area, living room area with tv (including cable) and a sun/lounging area as well. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow (so, not ideal for young children) and there is just one bathroom (which is also upstairs, but which is spacious with double sinks). It worked perfectly for my stay (I went just with my husband). Highly recommended!
