The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful, promptly answering all our questions before our stay. The location is serene and beautiful, offering a peaceful getaway. The provided kayaks were a fantastic amenity, and we enjoyed being out on the water every day. The big backyard was perfect for the kids to play, making it an even more enjoyable experience for the whole family.

Alan was super helpful and very receptive in terms of communication. Great location, love the private dock.
My two nephews essentially became Chesapeake Bay watermen for the weekend. They barely touched their iPads... Enough said.

Beautiful location on river! House was perfect for our group, lots of space, big backyard and dock. We all had a blast!

We had a great two-night stay. Alan was very responsive to a couple of questions early on. Kitchen is very well equipped. Location is awesome.

We had a wonderful long weekend here. Perfect weather let us swim and kayak and fish all weekend. House was spacious enough for two families of five plus our dog. The views were perfect!

This was our second family getaway to this property. The home is very well appointed, and the water front views from the living room, deck, and fire pit areas cannot be beat. We'll be back again next year.

Had a lovely stay at this Cambridge waterfront property. It is about 20 minutes outside of town in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for two families with children and dogs. We all had a nice time out on the kayaks and paddleboards, and spent evenings watching the sun go down and crabbing. We had quite a few mosquitoes, so plan to pack extra bug spray. The crabbing was fantastic, and the host had two large crab pots in addition to two small crab traps for our enjoyment. The kids had a great time, and we caught over 3 dozen crabs. The host was very responsive to communications and was a pleasure to work with.

TL;DR: we had the best vacation in years here!
Long Story:
We were 2 families (9 in total) and stayed for a week. The house is about a 25 minute drive to Cambridge where you have food, groceries and a Walmart for supplies. The house, dock and property location were the primary reasons we chose to stay here, as its very quiet and remote but close enough to go out to dinner. One tip: as you're driving to and from Cambridge, keep your eyes open for deer as they can jump out in front of you in a pack.
The house itself was great, stocked with toys, games, fishing poles, crab traps, kayaks and bikes. You'll need to bring your own bedsheets, towels and supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. The owner, Alan, is very responsive and communicates all of this in his welcome letter. We brought our own fishing gear and right off the dock you can catch dozen of Perch and Spot in the early morning and evening which can be used as live bait for larger fish in the Chesapeake. We rented a boat from Slaughter Creek Marina and they delivered and picked up the boat to the house if you rent for several days, otherwise it's about a 45 drive to them.
The bedrooms are comfortable and there's air conditioning in all of them. Wifi was great and cell service was fine on ATT, Verizon and TMobile. Watching the sun rise in the morning from the dock is amazing!
If you're looking for a place away from the crowds but close to a city, you can't go wrong staying here!

What a great location - getting our extended family together at this great property right on the water was fantastic. The views were incredible and all of the kayaks and stand up paddle boards were so enjoyable to use. Communications Alan could not have been better. We hope to stay again!!

My family and my sister in law’s family stayed there for 3 nights. We all had a great time! Grandpa and my husband love fishing and crabbing while kids kayaking.
We also watched sunrise twice in the backyard, which is beautiful.
Inside the house has enough room for my group. We enjoy our staying!

The location on the water allowed our family to enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and attempts at crabbing. The outdoor space provided plenty of room for the kids to play ball, run around, have water gun fights without worry of disturbing the neighbors (the house is on a cul de as). We also biked, took long walks and visited local crab shack for delicious crabs. Our host Alan was easy to contact and answered our questions timely. Overall we had a lovely vacation! Lisa (renter)

This property location is great. Beautiful water views from the house, the yard, and the dock. Large bedrooms and living areas. Kitchen spacious and well equipped The kids and the adults enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and the bikes that were provided. Fire pit was an extra bonus. Property was quiet and easy to find. Would be great for a longer stay. Property owner was very accommodating even offering late checkout for our 3 Ironman participants to come back to shower before our drive home.

My family spent a relaxing Memorial Day weekend here. We had plenty of space for our kids and my parents to be comfortable. The home was clean and provided all the kitchen and grilling tools we needed. It was quiet and peaceful. We spent a lot of time playing in the huge, well-maintained yard. We even caught a few crabs off the dock!

Three night stay with multiple families. Property ideal for those with boats that want to enjoy the water.

Great house, host and location. Stayed with a larger group and plenty of room!

This house offered a quiet, relaxing getaway for my adult family and grandchild. It is just as pictured. Roomy and comfortable for our family of six adults, and two dogs. Alan was very responsive, not that we needed him much. Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, TV and Wifi were all in order. Didn't get a chance for the many outdoor activities offered, because it was cold and windy, but may come back again someday in warmer weather.

The open kitchen/dining/living area was a perfect place for couple to gather while celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy our morning coffee while watching the sun glitter on Hudson Creek! Would definitely recommend!!

This is a great property to sit and relax on the deck or the den giving you the same great view of Hudson Creek. The Eagles were active and the weather for mid-October was tremendous. There were only two of us and our Labs but this house and surrounding property would easily support a large family get together!

Great location the was secluded but still minutes from everything. Even a short hour or so drive to Ocean City. The home was equipped with a great dock. We rented a boat locally from Blackwater Adventures in Cambridge, MD and they delivered it!!

Alan was a terrific and attentive host. My family and I cannot say enough good things about his place, especially the cleanliness, high level of organization/basic amenities, and a truly world class outdoor set-up with a private pier, water views on three sides, and CRAB POTS. We had an all around blast. Only small glitch (probably due to unusual rain storms) was that the internet system malfunctioned much of our stay, but Alan helped us get it working one time and is now working to replace the system. We'll definitely hope to return in the future. We've explore much of the Bay and feel the Neck District is a true gem in its own right, with easy access to other marquee highlights in the region.

The home exceeded our expectations. Alan was easy to work with and super warm & friendly.
The house was equipped with everything we needed.
This was my first mini vacation with my two adult kids and grand daughter all together in one house. I will look to come back here For sure. Im a professional Nyc Designer and the foot print of the house was perfect for us.
Thank you Alan & family for having us!
I didn’t want to leave.

This was a time for relaxing with children & grand-children, watching the sun rise, fishing, kayaking, flying kites and star gazing at night. "Away from technology"

Picture Perfect
Our family from 4 states came together for a great vacation. It's hard to choose based on photographs, but the house is roomier even than we thought, and the property was large and private--as if we owned the whole peninsula. The fire pit area, private dock, and availability of kayaks and equipment really enhanced our stay. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality utensils, cookware, etc. The owner was just a text away for any questions or concerns that we had. We are keeping this on our list of favorites!

Great place for entire family to get together!
If you want a large, well stocked place for your family to stay - this is the place. All the rooms were large and comfortable. The view is spectacular. The grandkids caught 3 crabs, a few fish and pulled out lots of little snails down at the water. They were all in their glory. The place is remote, so make sure you have what you need before getting there. This is exactly what we were looking for! There is a bait shop about 5 min away that also put on the best crab/shrimp boil you could ever want. 6 adults, 4 grandkids between 7 and 9. I couldn't have asked for more!

Nice spot with great views
This was a great location, with great views. Alan was easy to deal with and prompt to answer any questions and very accommodating to our travel schedule. My only complaint is when I received the house rules a few days before our stay it stated "Remember you need to bring your own sheets and towels" which I see nowhere on the listing and is kind of a pain when traveling to have to bring all this with you.

We enjoyed every amenity this house offers: bikes, kayaks, firepit, crab pots, dockside sunrises and sunsets, picking crabs on the back deck, swimming, and cozy up on the couch at night for games. This home is beautiful and well cared for and the owner was very friendly and communicative. Please don't tell anyone else about this gem ;o)

This property has an unbelievable view. It had everything you need to have a nice and quiet stay. The reason why I do not give 5 stars is because it wasn't really clean, we weren't comfortable seating on the sofas and the chairs outside were dirty and broken, probably one was okay. Also, I believe 2 bathrooms are not enough for how many people are supposed to fit.
Overall, it was a enjoyable place with amazing sunrises and cool pier.

The scenery and tranquillity were perfect. The unit was extremely clean and well-stocked with essentials for kitchen, cooking, and living. There were also kayaks and bikes to use. We saw ducks, geese, and dolphins! It was so quiet and serene.

Family 40th Wedding Anniversary stay
The property was beautiful, well-appointed, and very private... just what we were looking for. The owner was very attentive and made himself readily available, should we have needed him. We spent hours on the deck enjoying the water view and the kayaks were great fun. A great time was had by our family. Thanks
