We had a great time during our stay. The Farmhouse accommodated all of family. There was enough space to enjoy spending time together but also places to go if some “quiet” times was needed. The property manager responded quickly for check-in and answered our questions promptly.

We absolutely loved this property. We had Four couples on this trip. There was room for everyone. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Our Host was great, easy to communicate with, and quick to respond. We had the best time hanging out around the fire at night.

Ray and Bobbie were great hosts. At first we were a bit confused by the layout of the house but it quickly grew on us. By the end we found its quirkiness to be fun and inviting. We would most definitely stay there again. Thanks again, Bobbie and Ray!

The house was terrific. The beds were comfy. There were many places to congregate and sit. The decor was really intriguing, and there was good communication with the property managers. We had a wonderful time.
There was one thing we would have liked and that is WiFi. However, we were able to use hotspots to connect with the internet. Also, be advised that there is no ice maker, so if you need ice, bring it!

Our group had 14 people from ages 1 to 57 and we had a blast. Plenty of room and property was wonderful.

We stayed here with 10 kids and 6 adults. It was AMAZING! There was adventure for the kids around the property, campfires to be had, and serene spaces for the adults. The house was sprawling so the kids could easily be having a loud silly time on one side of the house, while the adults talked in the kitchen. I’m not sure that this would be as relaxing with toddlers, but with school aged kids and teenagers it was FANTASTIC! We hiked to the swimming hole. The kids put on plays. It was so so nice. We communicated with the owners several times and they were SO accommodating and nice. The house was very cozy, and not too fancy, so it felt ok to let the kids be kids. As a parent you know that is a relief!

Plenty of space for each to do their own thing and plenty of games in side to entertain all.The library was well stocked with books to take care of all interest .The favorite place was country kithen where most of the family stayed. Grand kids loved hiking trails and feeding fish at the pond.Great place for large family or group to get together.

This is the fifth time I've used the Farmhouse for our youth group's Guys Retreat, and I will continue to go back as long as I'm in charge of that trip. The cabin is clean, spacious, and perfect for groups of 15-25 people. Its proximity Chattanooga is perfect for a day trip to any of the various things the city has to offer. And the land around the cabin is great for hiking, athletics, and other outdoor facilities. Last but not least, Ray and Bobby do a wonderful job of hosting and making sure that you, as a group, are taken care of.

We had a wonderful time staying here in early October. We were a large group with 13 adults and 7 children, but we didn't feel cramped. Ray and Bobbie were excellent hosts as they were responsive and helpful during our stay. The property on which the house is located is beautiful and well kept. I hope we get a chance to visit again!

Plenty big for our family get together with lots of beds and sofas if needed. A bit far from town and the grocery store but that makes it especially quiet. Very close to De Sota State Park and many beautiful waterfalls. The owner Ray was super responsive to our requests.

Twelve of us went as a spiritual retreat to this farmhouse. It was large enough to accommodate 21. The setting was peaceful and quiet. The house was unique with loads of character. I loved staying there. We had plenty of space so we weren’t cramped.
The only negative was upstairs where I and 3 others slept 2 of the plugs didn’t work.
I would recommend this farmhouse.

We had a great time! This is our fourth year going to this cabin, and we'll keep coming back. The cabin is clean and big enough for a group of our size. The surrounding property allows us to get outside and enjoy nature as well. Last but not least, the hosts are always great!

This farmhouse was a perfect place for our annual Family Christmas Getaway! The house has character with plenty of space to spread out and relax or to gather for meals, games, activities and conversation. Communication with the property manager was easy with quick replies and measures were promptly taken to resolve any issue that arose. Beds were plentiful and comfortable. There were many options available for things to do inside and outside. The children enjoyed role playing in the hair salon, with the hats, playing sardines and air hockey. Our family was pleasantly surprised with a dusting of snow the first evening. We enjoyed the close proximity of the walking trails, the iced over pond and the icicles found as we explored the Little River Canyon rim. It's location made it easy for taking a day trip to Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain Incline Railway. We highly recommend the Farmhouse and would love to stay there again.

This is our second visit to the Farmhouse! We had so much fun, I don’t know where to start!!
Our family ranges in age as from single digits to 60’s and everyone had fun.
Super friendly owners! They answer questions quickly and truly care that your stay is a good one.
The Farmhouse is clean, roomy, comfortable, well stocked, and full of interesting rooms and furnishings. Two large tv’s allow for games and movies. Air hockey table keeps kids and adults happy. Large kitchen supplied enough room for dining and board games. Comfortable beds and fresh clean sheets made for restful nights.
Large doesn’t describe it adequately; kids can run wild and adults can have conversations, all at the same time without intruding on each other.
Again, I can’t stress enough how friendly and helpful the owners are! Will definitely be coming back!!!

This house was so massive the kids would wonder around trying to find each other. We had 8 adults and 12 children including children with special needs (Downs Syndrome, Autistic). We enjoyed ourselves so thoroughly that we plan to make the trip an annual event at this location. We played adults vs kids kickball in the field. There was an indoor hide and seek game every night once it got too dark to be outside. The kids played make-believe in the hair salon and dressed up in the hats. There was plenty of space and even extra beds! All the beds were amazingly comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kind of pot, pan, or dish you could possibly need. We brought crockpots and pans from home but didn't need any of it. Our phones had very little service but NO ONE missed it as we were all too busy visiting, talking, and playing with each other. Our kids had so much fun!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about our amazing hosts!!!! They replied quickly to any questions we had. I was worried they would regret renting to our group when they saw our massive group of kiddos. But they were so kind and open with the property and allowed us to make memories that will last a lifetime!

Great old house rental, very unique and quirky. Must like old houses- I love them, lots of character. Owners live on property and are very nice. Hike to swimming hole was great! It's about a mile but our 3 year olds and 2 year old did fine with a little help. The last part is steep but it's worth the hike. Our group of 15 from 2 weeks old to 75 had a great trip to this old farm house. Grands loved the library! The 3 year old called it her new yellow house!

Great Communication
The house is more spacious than you can imagine from the photos. Even pillow cases and comforters smelled freshly washed! Excellent help and communication from the owners. A fantastic older farmhouse. I would stay here again without a second thought!

Great Country Getaway
If you’re looking for peace and quite you’ll find it here. This is quite a unique house and worked well for our Family vacation. There were 18 of us in all (4 families and our parents) and there was plenty of room for each family to have their own space. The house was clean, beds are Comfortable, the kitchen is well supplied with cooking necessities and there are plenty of towels. The owner went above and beyond purchasing an extra booster for cell service to accommodate one of our college age kids taking a summer class so she didn’t have to run into town for WIFI as the house does not have WIFI at this time. We weren’t too far from Fort Payne and we even ventured to Chattanooga for a day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Quite & Beautiful
We had a family getaway and this property allowed plenty of room with beautiful scenery. A good time was had by all. Not too far from "civilization" but felt like escape from hustle & bustle.

Youth Group Guys' Retreat
This cabin has become one of the guys' favorite parts about guys' retreat. This is our third year going back, and it's the first time I've actually created time for myself to sit back and think about just how perfect this cabin is for us.
It's large, providing ample space for games, small groups, and lessons. It's incredibly clean; I've never had to worry about dirt. It's remote, getting the boys away from civilization and distractions for a weekend. It's unique. The boys love every single room. It has a lot of space outside for football, fishing, and more!
This really is the perfect cabin for our group, and, as long as we stay small enough to fit in it, I don't see why we'd ever stop coming.

Great family reunion!
We enjoyed our 3-night stay for our family (3 sisters’) reunion. Our first get-together since Covid originally started and we were so pleased to have this place at a reasonable price to host our children & grandchildren! We suffered several losses during this pandemic & it was wonderful to all be together again. Many thanks!

Thank you for your gracious hospitality.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful house with our group. Everything was perfect and it made for a great weekend. Several members of our group even expressed bringing their spouse and staying on a smaller cabin. Meeting both of you upon arrival and throughout the weekend added to the charm, welcoming, and comfortable feel. We would look forward to returning in the future. Thank you again for everything.

Weekend get away
The house was huge, plenty enough room for large and multiple families, a lot bigger than I thought it would be by the pictures. The house in general wasn’t excluded as I thought, but we had plenty of privacy on the inside. There is a cottage and other property, pretty close to the house. I absolutely loved the screened in porch.

Unique and wonderful!
We brought a group of 18 on a weekend couple retreat. This quirky, fun, beautiful home was perfect! It’s old and full of charm. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather together, or spread out. The fully stocked kitchen made feeding everyone a breeze.
We loved having easy access to hiking in the state park.
Ray was very kind to have firewood for us to use in the fire pit. He was a great communicator and host through the whole process.
All in all, this was a great stay!

Family relaxation
We had an amazing stay. The farmhouse was so much fun! We enjoyed every room. Our grandson had plenty of room to toddle around. Family meals cooked together in the large family kitchen was so much fun! We’re definitely returning in the future❤️

Our greatest difficulty was trying to walk around in the rooms. We are an older group of ladies and maneuvering around all the sofas was difficult. We had several falls but no injuries. Also not having an ice maker was an issue.
Overall we had a great two days. We enjoyed visiting all the beautiful natural sites. Thank you for letting us rent your home.

No cell service
This property was too far out to do anything without getting lost as GPS was spotty at best. The pillowcase on one bed was full of makeup and there were spiderwebs in the tv room. The house was very musty. Too much religious dogma was in the library including pamphlets. On the way to the pond there was a pickaxe and maul just laying on the ground. My family and I were not comfortable there at all.

Amazing!
Beautiful property with trail and swimming hole you could access from property. Hosts went above and beyond to make our team feel welcomed. We had so much fun cooking in the kitchen here and plenty of room for everyone to sleep and hangout in this large home. We can't wait to come back!
