A luxury property perfectly suited to large groups and multiple families.
Property consists of a large custom home with the original "Cottage" Side, Unit A, which includes its own bedrooms, bathrooms, living area and kitchen. And the newer "Lodge" Side, Unit B, which also has multiple living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, bunk room and attached garage. The two sides are accessed through a common foyer. Property is legally zoned as a duplex Property is only rented with both the Cottage and Lodge together and not rented individually; all prices shown include both sides, 16 occupants maximum per side, and 9 vehicles total. We have very strict rules regarding noise, parties and parking. We have an excellent relationship with our neighbors and want to maintain a quiet atmosphere for them. Thus we want to be clear that this is well suited to family reunions, small retreats, etc, but not parties, events, youth groups, college ski trips, etc.
Emberwood Lodge is a luxury 7,000 square foot cabin offering accommodations to those that expect the finest in amenities. This property is very popular for family reunions and corporate retreats. Emberwood is among the largest private rentals in Winter Park.
Emberwood offers grand entertaining spaces such as the great room with soaring ceilings, breath taking views of Byers Peak, and a dining table for 16 (plus space at the island, outdoor table and game table). An additional living room with barnwood ceilings and its own fireplace allows large groups the opportunity to spread out. A total of four decks one with a large hot tub, all with spectacular views affords plenty of outdoor living space.
A second kitchen also allows groups such as family reunions flexibility in dining. The entire property features a total of 8* bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, Two kitchens, a Great Room & Dining Area, Living Room, and a Game/Media Room. The basement bunk room offers 7 built in queen size bunk beds, a rec area, pinball and Foosball. (There is a ninth room with a queen bed located just off the kitchen with an attached 3/4 bath shared with the living area. Since there is no window we have not included this in the bedroom or sleeping count.)
Located on a hillside above the Fraser River with unobstructed views of Byer's Peak the setting is as beautiful as it is convenient. The Safeway grocery store is located less than a mile down the street, and the free shuttle picks up about a 400 yards from the home with frequent access to Fraser, The Town of Winter Park and the Ski Resort.
Access to the Meadows Club is included. The Meadows Club includes a year round heated pool, workout equipment, tennis and basketball (indoor and out). Access to the club is limited to eight guests at a time.
Free shuttle service to downtown and the ski resort.
Incredible winter and summer destinations—world class ski resort at Winter Park, tubing hill, ice skating, snowmobiling at Grand Lake. Summer activities including hiking to waterfalls, Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, mountain biking (including downhill Trestle Park), rafting, horseback riding, loads of kids activities at YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch. Our family loved the location. Close to lots of activities. Favorite spot had to be the deck with beautiful views but the main living area also comfortably accommodated our large group.

We had a wonderful time staying at Ember Lodge, it was extremely comfortable for 28 people. Andrew was extremely communicative and flexible with our check in times and accommodations. It’s difficult to find places for large groups, I highly recommend this spot. My husband and I were able to celebrate our marriage with 26 family and friends, without stress or worry!

This gorgeous home perfectly fit our large family as we gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving in the mountains! The house was well stocked, clean, and beautifully decorated. The great room with its cozy fireplace was the perfect place to gather for meals, game playing, and conversations. Everyone enjoyed the large hot tub! The location of the house was convenient to get to the ski resort and grocery store. We would highly recommend this home to others seeking a place for large groups to gather.

The location of this home is wonderful. Out of the hustle & bustle of I-70 and close to the RMNP. Our 30 person family had a very enjoyable stay. The house is very large but warmly decorated. There's plenty of parking. Could use a few more bath and kitchen towels and we had trouble with one of the washing machines - but there's 4 sets so no issues. We didn't want to leave!

This lodge is first rate! Worked very well for our family gathering of 32 people. Location is great for bike riding
and bringing the bus back. Access to the Club Meadows Ridge was well used for the swimming pool and spa.

This property is better than advertised. It is set up perfectly for a large group. The design of the building could not be better. From our initial request for information, to leaving the property the communication was quick and very helpful. The interior is beautiful and fully updated. The outdoor space on the decks is well positioned and was well utilized.
We had a large group so we were a bit worried about having 10 cars at a time, but we shuttled people up and down the hill so it was not a huge issue.
I would highly recommend this property.

We went with 6 families, each with 2 adults and 2 kids. There is so much space - especially with the bunk room basement with 6 queen bunks. Kids loved that space... and the pinball machine and foosball table were well used.
Kitchen has decent appliances and well stocked cooking wear. The massive dining table is perfect for groups of this size.
Owner has great communications and helps with any issues. I strongly recommend this property for any large groups or multigenerational trips.

I brought 17 of my family members to stay in this roomy, comfortable house for the second year . The house is very well suited to large groups. We love the location: close to grocery store, tubing hill. shopping in Winter Park, cross country skiing snowshoeing and a short drive to the Winder Park Ski area. We will stay there again! The owner is very easy to work with.

We had a larger group, and were struggling to find the right place to fit us all. The house was in amazing condition, clean, nice quality appliances, dishes, towels, etc. comfortable furniture, and had everything we could have needed! We all loved the place, the local bus was convenient, and everyone has a comfortable place to sleep. Couldn’t have asked for better host either, responsive and helpful. MAJOR PLUS- the check out instructions were very manageable. Would recommend this house to anyone!

The property was amazing. It was our second time at this location for a summer family reunion. Getting to the property is easy, the roads are paved pretty much 99% of the way. The property itself was exactly how the pictures show. All the amentities and the owners were quick to respond to any issues!

We were trying to find something that could accommodate our large group and this location far exceeded our expectations. The manager of the property was extremely responsive and helpful with all questions: before, during, and after our stay. The listing pictures do not do this home justice. It is a beautiful getaway with an incredible layout. We hope to visit here again soon.

Simply Wonderful
Took our team on a trip, and this house was absolutely perfect. Plenty of beds to sleep in, the home was in the perfect location, 3 minutes away from Safeway, about 17 min away from Winter Park.
The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you could need to cook/bake.
The views were amazing, the rooms so cozy, it was just such a great place to stay. Would totally look forward to going back again!

Highly recommend for any large group!
We rented this house for a family reunion just before Thanksgiving. We had 29 people ranging in age from 7-73. There was more than enough space for everyone to gather all together or separate and have some space. We cooked all of our meals there with their fully stocked kitchen (had a very large crock pot, kitchen aid mixer and everything in between) We have stayed at plenty of VRBOs before and none have been like this. They truly think of everything to make your stay as wonderful as possible. They have shampoo, conditioner and body wash that doesn't run out in each bathroom as well as toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent etc. so you don't have to go to the store to stock up. Overall we had a wonderful time and would rent from them every time we come to Colorado!

We had an amazing time at this spectacular house. Our friends and family were very comfortable with the space and all 33 of us fit perfectly.
The house is well stocked and had a lot of nice details for guests. Our host was quick to respond and very helpful in answering questions.
We would definitely recommend this house to any guest! You'll have an amazing time!

Fantastic Family Reunion!
The Emberwood Lodge was perfect for our family reunion of 17 (originally 20, but a couple folks ended up not making it) people from ages 23-85. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, appliances and a perfect giant dining table, the beds were comfy, there were enough bathrooms, and the house was conveniently located near grocery stores, and outdoor recreation, etc. Our host Andrew, was very responsive to any questions too. Our entire group had a wonderful time! Thank you for sharing your house with us!!

Our multi-generational family enjoyed a great holiday weekend at Emberwood. The home’s layout allowed for plenty of togetherness, but also some separation and privacy. Would definitely recommend.

Family Reunion
We had a group of 25+ spanning three generations for a short family get together. We loved the property and it worked very well for our group. We found the space to be very flexible and usable for a large mixed group. The furnishings and accessory items provided were good quality and plentiful. The gathering space was really nice for our large group. Parking was very good as we were able to park 6-7 vehicles and one of our group was hauling a camping trailer and there was even room to park that. The owner was great and very responsive. We really didn't experience any major problems and would like to come back if the need arises in the future. Location was good and very quiet.

Great Extended Family Getaway
Andrew's home was beautiful and well equipped for our party of 32! We had a mix of multi-generational families who just needed a weekend to getaway and enjoy time with one another. We had plenty of space to spread out and yet still gather. I was so surprised with how well equipped the kitchen was for our group. I definitely could have underpacked kitchen gear. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to getaway.
