This was our first stay in Dorset and the location of Swallows Nest is perfect. Central to all the places of interest you want to see, you are within 30-60 minutes of all of them and beautiful scenery as you travel around too.
The cottage itself is lovely, very modern, clean and spacious. It was a novel and much welcomed experienced for my 2 children to have their own en suite so they were semi independent.
We enjoyed many games of table tennis as well as some of the board games too of an evening.
We got lucky on our first morning when we saw the alpacas who live near there, we didn’t see them again all week!
A wonderful place to stay and the host was so friendly and helpful, we hope to return again and tell our friends and family about the place too.

Swallows Nest was the perfect venue for exploring the Jurassic Coast with beautiful coastal walks. It was homely and comfortable with a lovely wood burning stove. Martin was a very friendly and helpful host and we had everything we needed. We hope to be able to visit again.

The cottage is very well appointed with two bedrooms each with en-suite shower rooms joined by an entrance hall to the kitchen/dining/living area. It’s very well insulated, and nice and cosy especially with the log fire burning. The kitchen is well appointed with a little dishwasher and a washing machine which made life very easy! The owners were most helpful and very kindly offered to meet us outside the cottage if we phoned them about 15 minutes away - very helpful as we arrived in the dark! Thoroughly recommended!
