We very much enjoyed our stay at Meadowside cottage.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Meadowside cottage. The owners obviously take pride in the upkeep of the property and have succeeded in using only green power to maintain it. It was well equipped with everything we needed including cloths and tea towels and even a rechargeable torch for the night -should you need one. It was tastefully furnished and the rooms had plenty of storage space. The garden and patio are beautifully kept and there is plenty of lawn space to stretch your legs or play games. There is some noise from the main roads but you still have great views and a feeling of being in the countryside.
It is in a very convenient location for the Southern part of the Peak District and we enjoyed an abundance of great walks. We would visit again.

The cottage was good and COVID friendly.
The cottage was good and COVID friendly. The owners were a nice and helpful couple. The only negative was the traffic noise from the nearby main road. Not noticeable at night with the windows closed and we were out during the day so not a problem.

Lovely bungalow been 5 times over the years now needs a little updating.
Lovely bungalow been 5 times over the years now needs a little updating. We found the duvets too heavy and too thick.I use a 2.5 tog duvet in summer , my wife uses a 5 tog duvet so we were both too hot in bed even though the weather was more like November.

My wife and I really enjoyed the cottage, very cosy.
My wife and I really enjoyed the cottage, very cosy. Sitting on the patio you can hear the road noise but it is not too bad (did not bother us). Can not hear any noise when inside the cottage. Should you require any assistance the owners are nearby.
