Once again I've had a lovely break in The Annexe. This time I took Mum with me and she was very impressed with how well it is set up to accommodate someone with restricted mobility. It's very well located, being away from the hustle and bustle of town but it's easy to get into central Clacton and other local towns/places of interest. The view of the sea and windmill farm from the window is stunning!

A beautifully clean apartment that is well suited for anybody with a disability. However, it is great for all with it's lovely walk in shower wet rooms. The accommodation is also equipped with games and dvds. The kitchen area is perfect for preparing the odd meal when you are not wanting to eat out and the crockery and cooking utensils are of good quality and plentiful. The beds were also of good quality with crisp white linen. The living area faces East and the view over the wind farm and sea is excellent.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Annexe and could not have been more looked after by the owner who had thought of everything. The location across from the beach is perfect and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the pier (although this is also very easy to get to by walking or on the little train). We will be back!

Fabulous accommodation. Spotlessly clean and spacious, with some lovely extra touches. Plenty of free parking and literally only 2 minutes walk to the beach. Very friendly owner, who even provided wine, chocolates and basics like bread, milk, tea, coffee etc on our arrival. Very highly recommended!

Our stay at The Annexe was very enjoyable, the property was in a very nice location a short walk along the prom from the town itself and with the beach being just across the road very convenient also. We had a friendly welcome from the owner as well as a very nice welcome pack. We had a very slight problem with the hot water initially but this was resolved within minutes! The Annexe was spotlessly clean with superb facilities throughout and this, as well as being blessed with brilliant weather, made it a wonderful break. Many thanks!

A generous welcome pack for both adults and children and a personal welcome from the owner.
A generous welcome pack for both adults and children and a personal welcome from the owner.
A comfortable sitting room with large telly - much appreciated by the children - and having two excellent shower rooms.
We enjoyed being so close to the sea and not having to drive far to the many local amenities. Particularly popular were Clacton Pier, Pitch and Putt, swimming at Frinton and following a sculpture trail at Walton-on-the-Naze.

Had a very comfortable relaxing break at the Annexe.
Had a very comfortable relaxing break at the Annexe. The property is beautifully appointed and maintained and extremely well situated just over the road from the beach. Susan was a wonderful host and we felt very welcome with nothing too much trouble. As I am disabled I appreciated the easy wheelchair access and the thought that has gone into making the accommodation 'disabled friendly'. All in all we can highly recommend the Annexe. We will be back!

Home from home :-)
Everything you needed for a stay is here, the Annexe has been thoughtfully put together for your pleasure and ease. The decor is of a high standard along with the amenities. So peaceful and quite and only a stones throw away from the sea. The town and pier not too far away. Come stay here you will not be disappointed - Caroline and Colin - Ipswich
