If you don’t feel like venturing too far, there is plenty to do within this idyllic village. Wander around the castle and grounds, enjoy the stunning scenery and absorb the enthralling history. There is the wonderful Nidderdale Greenway to enjoy, a traffic free path perfect for gentle cycling and walking. Eat well at the local, superb gastro pub or the village tea room, or simply enjoy the small shops and just relaxing. Ripley is on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales with all the amazing miles of moors, valleys, hills and villages that are just waiting to be explored. Cyclists will relish the challenges and routes that are available from Ripley - head to the hills and the renowned Tour de France climbs such as the iconic Cote-de-Lofthouse.
