I've given a 7 for local amenities largely due to the fallout from Covid-19 restructions - some pubs not doing food at all, whilst others often shut on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Local fish and chip shop in Tenbury Wells is excellent though - huge quantities and very tasty fish. The cottage is only a few minutes drive from Tenbury so any takeaway will not get cold.
The cottage overlooks fields and the countryside so really nice views of the local hills.
It's worth reading the history of this listed cottage in the book provided as the cottage was essentially rebuilt and using the same (new and re-used) oak beams as the original.
Central heating is very hot so no need to turn the radiators up! At the time of our visit in mid-September it was very warm and sunny outside during the day.
There is lots of countryside to explore either on foot, or further away via car.
The owners (farmers) will pop in to see you early in your stay to make sure everything is OK - they are very friendly.
The location is very quiet at night and exceptionally dark - so on clear nights, any stargazers will be pleased at the lack of light pollution - the milky way is clearly visible.

A beautifully renovated cottage with gorgeous views across the countryside, a lovely enclosed garden and very welcoming friendly hosts. We really enjoyed the peaceful open space around the cottage and did a couple of walks right from the front door. A lovely place to escape to - thoroughly recommended.
