The Mill House was just what we wanted, peaceful, well maintained and all the amenities needed. With two families of 3 there was plenty of room. We all loved the grounds and the children couldn’t get enough of the zipline! Sarah was really kind and welcoming. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, which has lots to offer. Overall we’d really recommend people consider a stay at Mill House.

We had a lovely few days staying at Mill House with friends. A last minute booking as a planned holiday abroad was cancelled. Beautiful countryside in abundance all around. The Penny Farthing pub was within walking distance (though up hill!) and was really nice and friendly and served great food.

The Mill Cottage is the perfect family cottage to get away from everything and get back to nature.
The Mill Cottage is the perfect family cottage to get away from everything and get back to nature. The grounds are huge and very beautiful and our kids spent a lot of the time running around there and playing on the zip wire. There is a long drive for the children to safely ride their bikes up and down.
Liz made sure the cottage was spotlessly clean and came Over on our first day to check We had everything we needed. She had even built us a brand new barbecue as I’d asked if there would be one for us - nothing was too much trouble.
A beautiful cottage in the heart of the countryside - perfect! We will definitely be returning.

A lovely stay in a beautiful part of Herefordshire
We had a lovely week at Aston Mill and apart from some challenges in reading in the evening in the living room (a bit dark and would benefit from some extra lighting), everything else was very nice. The Host was very friendly and also in close proximity for any questions. The cottage was very well laid out, particularly for a party of 5, with all we needed to make our week very enjoyable, despite the new covid-19 arrangements (would have been good to have more communication from the HomeAway team in terms of email responses, in the end we had to call the Host to check on arrangements and this put our minds at rest). Lots of space to enjoy and relax and you can really appreciate the quiet. The locality is lovely with the Penny Farthing pub only ten minutes walk in Aston Crews and serves great food. A very relaxing and enjoyable base for what was a lovely holiday.

the holiday that never was!!!!!
We were so looking forward to it, my 4 French friends and I. Unfortunately they were in lockdown before us, so I had to cancel the booking, losing 75% of the total I had already paid. If only I had waited a week, you would have cancelled!! However, we are thinking of doing it next year instead.

My family and I (7 of us) stayed at Mill House for a long weekend mid September and had a lovely time, helped no doubt by the warm, sunny weather we were fortunate to enjoy. The cottage was well equipped, plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils to go round. Had to ask for a hairdryer but this was swiftly provided by the owner who was friendly and very helpful. The bathroom and wet room are newly done and the showers worked well with plenty of hot water. The rest of the house is a bit dated but didn't bother us and adds to its charm. We enjoyed the large garden area which has a sizeable pond that attracted a few dragonfly. We had meals at two local pubs The Pennyfarthing and The Farmer's Boy and would recommend both. All in all a great place to stay.

Lovely cottage, so peaceful but with plenty to see and do.
Lovely cottage, so peaceful but with plenty to see and do. The zip-wire in the private woods was a very nice surprise! Many meals eaten outside under the shade of the pergola vines. Spacious rooms (particularly upstairs) and a friendly owner who did everything she could to help and put us at ease during our stay.

A beautiful property with massive grounds and a lake. Woods with zip wires so what's not to like for the kids.
The house is full of character and is very easy to live in.
The barbecue area in fron of the cottage is great, given the weather, with lots of long lazy evenings eating and drinking without worrying about the kids or driving home.
Top class.
