Property had an excellent swimming pool and was in a good location
Had a bit of an “odd” feel to it. Lotes lf empty shops and units. I hope these will be occupied and bring back somw life to the hotel

nice price, nice location in front of the sea, facilities are nice, staffs are kind
basically nothing, but breaker in my room got down twice, one was when I was out, the other was when I was sleeping and I notice after I woke up. It was easy to fix, but if I say something bad, I would point this.

The pool area was excellent! The rooms (2bed apartment) were well equipped, modern and clean. Great for a family of 3 or 4.
The balcony was non-existent. It didn’t explain that on the booking site. I would have gone for a better room for the additional outdoor space.
The hotel will get better and better as more restaurants and shops re-open in the complex. It’s got huge potential.
We would like to see more traditional Vietnamese food options at the pool bar.

Our family loved the resort style pool, access to the beach and fantastic buffet breakfast. The beds were super comfortable and the staff very friendly. It was nice being a bit removed from the gustle and bustle of the Hoi An Old Quarter but cheap and easy to catch a taxi or the free shuttle to go there when we wanted.
We loved the hotel, so there wasn't much we didn't like. If we had to pick one thing that we didn't like was that there was a bit of rubbish (a couple of bottles and a plastic bag) on the beach.

The pool area was great and the grounds were very well maintained. Location was great. Out of town and quiet but the bars and restaurants of A Bang beach only a 15min walk away.
The hotel is part of a large complex of over 100 shops, bars and restaurants. However most of these are closed with only 3 or 4 open. This makes for a bit of a weird empty atmosphere.
The only restaurant has a bit of a limited menu, especially for (western) children and the pool bar shuts at 1800. This means there isn’t much to do in the evenings. Although, we just walked up the beach to A Bang and so it didn’t really bother us.
They also have a weird policy for charging you up to 300,000d (£3) to drink drinks in your room. This is for all drinks, not just alcoholic.

Breakfast was excellent, there was something for everyone. We really enjoyed every morning.
The gardens and pool area were absolutely beautiful, with direct access to quiet beach.
Locations was so good, as only 10 mins walk to local town, where there were great restaurants, and beauticians.
The area between accommodation and pool side were totally derelict, as if not used in 30 years. There were many empty units , originally set up for hot food restaurants, and cafes, but empty, so felt very strange, and depressed.
Dining area is bazaar...much like hospital cafeteria, only vast! It worked for busy breakfast, but was very strange, when we were the only table occupied on our first night.

Staff were excellent. Room comfortable with good facilities. Excellent pool and surrounds with pool bar that served good food and ran a happy hour. Excellent gym. A Bang only a short walk and is full of bars and restaurants some on the beach. Shuttle service provided into Hoi An
Property very big with a number of retail units empty. The exterior is tired and needs a refurb/ paint. Whilst our room was advertised as sea view you couldn’t see it when sat on the balcony. Whilst weather didn’t encourage sitting on the beach it wasn’t all that attractive.Could have run a later shuttle into Hoi An. Last one 16.00

The pool and facilities (gym, spa, restaurant) were all very good and very well maintained. The room was large, with comfy bed and nice bathroom etc... the breakfast buffet was nice. Private beach was great.
This resort is huge. And when we were there seemed almost empty. There are many, many shops and different 'market stalls' that are empty and seem to be under construction so it seems strangely quiet. However, this meant there were no crowds at the pool or beach etc... so no complaints from me, however didn't have an amazing vibe being so big and quiet.
Also, the beach is very nice and the water clean, however as is typical of these beaches there was still a lot of litter which is sad. The resort does keep their part of the beach clean, but it would help if this resort and others did more to keep it clean.
It's also a little isolated so you can't really walk anywhere, but it's only 4 km to old town, and a km or so to more built up areas for restaurants and bars.

sehr sauberes großes Zimmer direkt am Strand. Preis Leistung stimmt

Value for Money - Citadines Pearl was incredible. Breakfast was a good asian buffet with everything you might want. The resort has an incredible pool and is located nicely right ion the beach. Taxi drivers are easy to source at the lobby for a short 5/10 min drive over to Old Town Hoi An -100-120K VND. They like to give you their What's App no so they can pick you up - which was great for us. The Citadines appears to be an old resort that may have gone into some disrepair and closed during covid maybe and Citsdines have opened it up and are bringing it back up to speed. The buildings themselves are a bit dated, but the rooms inside have been renovated beautifully. They are clean and neat and a safe place to sleep. The resort is very big. There are some little retails spots on site - a 7/7 (a convenience store like we'd call a 7/11 in Aust), Pizza shop, burger etc. The day spa is well priced with a typical 60 min massage for $400K VND - as opposed to the big high end resorts which are $1.5-$2m VND. We loved our couple of days here.
We struck some rainy and windy weather on our visit which the resort can't control, but it did make the beaches all around very dirty and messy - a lot of rubbish. Hopefully they are not like that all the time and that it was just because of the bad stormy weather. They weather itself didn't affect our enjoyment of Hoi An - the old town is open and thriving in all conditions.

Pool area
Run down decrepid building - ceiling fell on us at breakfast causing injury to me and my daughter- the whole place smelt of damp and mould, the verandas were rusted and broken, tiles were broken, algae growing in the pool - not as it appears in the pics- looks like no maintenance has been done on the property for many years. Many empty shops and no nearby options for meals.

Beachfront. The pool is big. God breakfast.
One bedroom window could not be opened.

The apartment was a great size and the beds super comfy. Pool was great even in the rain! Great breakfast. The gardens and buildings are kept immaculately clean and manicured. I would probably stay here again as the apartments were excellent for a family.
The property has definitely been impacted by Covid, it’s a huge property that clearly used to have a shopping mall and a vibe but now they are all closed except for the spa, a cinema and a very basic mini-mart. This creates a bit of a ghost town vibe. It was unfortunately raining the entire time which probably didn’t help.

The breakfast buffet was awesome, but the real winner at the hotel is the staff. Especially Hai at the front desk, she is super helpful and friendly. They almost kill you with kindness. Facilities, however, felt quite deserted but is due to the pressures the country faced during Covid and the hotel and country have not had the chance to bounce back quite yet. My son had an accident at a waterpark in our first week and the staff were so great providing us with a wheelchair to help him get around. The swimming pool and beds were great.
Sadly the hotel felt remote and quite desolate. Although the rooms had kitchens you were not allowed to cook and consume your own food and drinks as their were penalty notices. We asked to change rooms after our first night as when we arrived it was dark, and the view was of a building site and we were put at the furtherest room from all the facilities. The staff were super helpful when we complained and did help us change to a much nicer room to make our stay more comfortable. My advice when booking is to ask for either A or B block (or if you can afford it the villas look great) and stay away from D block.

The hotel is part of the bigger complex which has a cinema theatre, housing units etc. The rooms, swimming pool, gym are well maintained. We liked the spread on the buffet breakfast too. Also, they arrange free transport / pick up at certain timings to Hoi An Old Town which was good.
We had dinner at the restaurant and the food wasnt upto the mark. It was a decent meal but not great.

The property was huge. Beautiful pool and restaurant. Location was quiet and away from hustle and bustle of Hoi an 👍
It felt a bit like a ghost town - understand that Covid has hit the country hard. Unfinished floors on Accomodation and some parts in need of repair (exterior). Interior was great and no issues with room.

This is an amazing resort, yes there are some negative reviews of upkeep and shops not opened but this is a result of covid and its impact to the whole area. There are some external areas that could do with a lick of paint but nothing that is overly bad nor dangerous. Rooms are spotlessly clean as is the main foyer areas, dining areas and the rooms are cleaned to the highest standard. Breakfast selection was great with a good choice between western and Asian options. Eggs cooked to order was great The pool areas is amazing and the staff are incredible. Mia was the concierge that looked after our family and her recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the local area and in Hoi An were perfect, Mia is passionate about tourism in the local area and it shows in her knowledge. The local community of An Bang has some amazing places to eat, great massages and the beach is good to swim at, can not recommend this resort highly enough
nothing to say here this resort was close to perfect

Beautiful pool. Good location. 15 minute drive to Hoi An and 30 minute drive to Da Nang. Nice room. Good lighting (lamps). We could watch movies on the tv. Nice modern bathroom.
It felt bit empty, still under construction. It was a really long walk from reception to our room and from our room to the pool. The resort is almost too spread out. We picked a superior ocean view room. But the view was not that great

Nice and clean. Quiet
Location was a bit further from old town. Shuttle only operates at night and limited spaces (18?) given the size of the hotel

- restauranten: maden kom meget sent i a la carte rest.
Restaurant
Stort, tomt, ikke-hyggeligt. Maden middelmådig (den vestlige). Servicen her var uprofessionel og mangelfuld.

This has been an excellent hotel, and sadly is recovering from the years of no travel. That said the hotel staff are excellent and in time it will be back to its old self I am sure
The spa was very good

The bath was nice & beds were comfortable.
The hotel gave us 2x 100,000VND vouchers to use at their restaurant. We had two rooms and attempted to use both of them at once, they wouldn’t allow both to be used at the same time, and when we asked to split the bill it was denied, the only reason we went to the overpriced restaurant, which by the way only had a few menu items available was because of the vouchers.
The rooms had extremely slippery showers, I had slipped twice, and have some nice bruises and swelling. My 73 year old grandmother was travelling with me, and if it was her who slipped I would be mortified.
The property was definitely unfinished, with there being much evidence of painting needing to be done. There was also black mould present!
The pathway to the beach was definitely a hazard, with there being about a 100cm last step onto the sand, that needs to be fixed asap.
The staff weren’t helpful at all when it came to addressing issues.
Photos look alright, but I wouldn’t be going back.

We had an amazing 3 bedroom apartment on the ground floor overlooking the pool. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable
There were a number of empty shop fronts within the hotel which was such a pity. Finding food outside the hotel wasn’t overly easy but if you are up for a 10 min walk to Ang Bang Beach there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby

Sehr saubere Zimmer, alles sehr neu.
