About this cabin rental
Our tree house is on fifty acres in central Minnesota, about two hours north west of the twin cities. The tree house is a refreshing break away from the ordinary.
The tree house sits 18 feet off the ground on a ridge over looking Rock Lake. Its surrounded by our 50 acres and 500 acres of state land, we enjoy a lot of wildlife, peace and quiet here. Throughout the land there are a lot of trails for walking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. In the summer you can enjoy paddle boating and kayaking.
The tree house is built of almost all home sawed lumber. It has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, kitchen, a sitting area in both the loft and the main level. It also has heating and air conditioning making it possible to rent year round. There is a wrap around porch on three sides and a deck out front, To access the tree house you will walk over a thirty foot covered bridge that touches the ground on one side for easy access.

We all enjoyed our stay at the Tree House. The Hot Tub was an added bonus. The deck was a relaxing place to chat, eat, and generally enjoy the outdoors. We didn't get a chance to walk the trails but did take a nice long walk on the road and got to see the lovely houses along the way. Location was perfect - good mix of seclusion and fun adventure to local towns. Highly recommend you put this place on your 'must-do' list.

Peaceful, private and relaxing get away. Clean and very comfortable. Lake is extremely clean. Ran out of time, otherwise we would have canoed to the swim raft and swam. Used the fire pit, canoed a couple
of times around the lake and used the clean hot tub. Hiked the area. Brought a blanket for a picnic by the lake. Double R restaurant had very good food and drinks at a reasonable price. Great weekend! Thank you! !

The Treehouse was a lovely place for a quiet, relaxing getaway. It was clean, cool on a hot day, and with great amenities (hot tub, paddle boat, grill, deck of cards, etc) to keep us entertained. Donna was ready to communicate with and left us plenty of contact information if anything else was needed. We would definitely stay again.

My family absolutely loved the tree house. Plans for the light house next! Right after bringing in our luggage and food in, we headed to the water. It was a hot day and the water felt great. All of us including the granddaughters (10 & 8) loved the paddle boats and floating raft! There were also kayaks available. We didn’t get to use the firepit as it was a very warm evening. They even provide firewood! The Treehouse was beautiful, clean, well -supplied, and the air conditioning was a treat after being outside all day. We spent the evening outside on the wrap around deck playing games and enjoying the hot tub. No bugs! The we moved inside to play games in the loft and end the evening with popcorn and a movie. We loved the way the landscaping around it is left as natural as possible. The owners were great. I have a very inquisitive granddaughter and the owner (Dean) gave her a ton of facts about the Treehouse and how it was built. He showed her berries in the area that she could eat. I would recommend asking first.

The Tree House was very clean and in a wooded area. It was just a short walk down a path to get to the little lake. The deck is nicely shaded by the trees, hottub was clean, table and chairs on deck made it a nice place to relax even on a warm day.
The boats appeared in good condition, if you are traveling with smaller children, you may want to bring life jackets for them.
Owners were close by if we needed anything, but no one else was around. We had issues with our cell service, but the internet in the cabin worked great.
They have another rental called The Lighthouse, which looks like it would be better for groups that might be a little bigger. Everything was clean and comfortable, we would would consider renting again if we would be in the area.

We were very impressed with this treehouse. The interior and exterior were beautiful, and it was fun to be up in the trees. We enjoyed the little lake as well, and spent time in the kayaks, canoe, and paddleboat. My teen sons had fun jumping off the swimming raft in the middle of the lake. One thing of note, there are a lot of lily pads around the shores, so you do need to take the boats out to the raft to swim. But the lilies were beautiful and fun to paddle through.

To say our family of 5 LOVED our weekend stay, would be an understatement. The treehouse is amazing, very clean and surprisingly spacious! Kayaking/canoeing on the private lake and listening to all of the birds was a definite highlight. The hosts take incredible care and pride in maintaining the entire property and we can’t wait to schedule another stay!

My sisters and I all enjoyed our stay here! Tucked away on a small lake, we walked some trials, took the pedal boat and kayak out. In the evening after our awesome day we relaxed in the hot tub under the stars and the moonlight! Falling asleep to the sounds of wildlife at night, fox...geese... and a beaver slapping the water. Looking forward to another stay!

We had a great time at the treehouse. We stopped at SJU for coffee and games at the campus library, stomped ice at the beach, enjoyed the hot tub, and had a family movie night. A wonderful, quick respite from business as usual!
