Sleeping 6, our large private garden cottage is located just 50 steps away from Kailua Beach. The lush garden setting offers a large air conditioned bedroom that sleeps 4 (queen size bed and 2 twin beds), with a screened in lanai (sunroom) that sleeps two more on the queen sized day bed (punei).
Exquisitely furnished with antiques and aloha, our cottage offers you the Hawaii that few will see. This 1200 sq.foot cottage embodies the type of living that Hawai'i is known for: From the screened in lanai (patio), to the fully upgraded kitchen, to an open garden area, our cottage offers island living at it's best. Families with children enjoy a large yard and the closeness of the beach.

Pat and Kelly were phenomenal hosts and the cottage was perfect for our family. The (stunning) beach is mere steps away, which was perfect for our 2-yr old so that we could stay at the beach for as short or long as we liked, and it was no big deal to run back to the house to grab something. We also enjoyed walking to the city-center for the farmers market, shops, dining, etc., as it was only a mile away from the home. Plenty of beach toys for our little guy too!
The bedroom was very large and included a very comfortable king size bed. Room was so spacious that wife was able to do her workouts every morning right in front of the bed, and the AC unit for that room was nice for sleeping for our son (though we preferred to sleep with the windows open)...Laundry room was very big and soooo nice to have after the beach.....Kitchen had everything you could ask for and we did a lot of cooking at "home" with all the necessary pots/pans/dishes, etc. (including an Instantpot we made use of!)
As great as the whole house is, the lanai was the star and we spent as much time out there and in the backyard as possible. It always felt so comfortable in there with the breeze blowing through and there was plenty of space for our little guy to run around and play with toys. The daybed is so nice to use for lounging during the day and for sleeping on at night, and you get to wake up to the beautiful sound of birds chirping as the sunrises. We can't wait to come back! Kelly and Pat are terrific hosts, very friendly and welcoming! We loved getting up early and taking a few short steps to the beach for a morning walk and coming back several times a day for swimming and relaxation. Kitchen has everything you need for making meals at home. The lanai was a comfortable place to eat breakfast and hang out in the evenings. There is a small market nearby and bigger markets and restaurants a short driving distance away. (You can walk to Buzz's which was awesome!) Great home base from which to explore Oahu - we visited north shore beaches, saw sea turtles, Honolulu, hiked local trails and more! Kailua Beach is truly the best beach in our humble opinion: gorgeous warm water, soft sand with no reefs to watch out for, spacious, and fun, well behaved neighborhood dogs to watch playing in the surf! We will be happy if we can return one day ~ Thanks Kelly and Pat!!

Cool place! The enclosed lanai is amazing. The cottage is very well-equipped and the hosts are very welcoming. Location is very close to the beach. Hope to return!

Such a beautiful place to stay! We loved being surrounded by the tropical foliage and just a footsteps a way from the beach! We went every morning to watch the sunrise. We visited several beaches during our stay and the one by this house was by far our favorite! They even had beach toys for my kids to play with. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back, I highly recommend this Vrbo!!!

Amazing location!
Wishing we were still there! It really had everything we needed and more: space, privacy, outdoor shower (and indoor one), beautiful greenery, and birds (I even made a recording). But tops for us was the location: a three-minute walk to our favorite beach (Kailua). Still being on California time, I was able to make it for the 5:30am sunrise every morning. Amazing! We will definitely be back!

A perfect stay
The property is absolutely beautiful! Pat and Kelly were so easy to work with and so thoughtful during our entire stay. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen and other supplies we would need for our stay. The home had a very comfortable and relaxed feel. We spent most of our time on the beautiful screened porch overlooking the large mango tree. By the way, they were the best mangos I have ever tasted! We were a very short distance and pleasant walk to the beach! I can't say enough about this property. I definitely plan on coming back to stay in the future!!!!

Perfect getaway
We had a wonderful time in Kailua. Patrick and his wife were very communicative hosts. The house has a well equipped kitchen and is a very short walk to the beach. We walked along the beach every morning to watch the sunrise then went to get coffee at the nearby Sunrise Cafe. We really enjoyed hanging out in the covered patio every evening. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back.

There is a step down into the bedroom and a step up to the toilet next to the washer. The house had everything (and then some) you will need for a fun, relaxing trip. There were lots of extras provided for the beach like chairs, towels, boogie boards and the walk to it was less than 5 minutes. Pat and Kelly were great hosts, super friendly and very helpful. One of my suitcases was damaged on the flight over (now unusable) and Kelly not only gave me numbers for possible repair people but even offered to let me use one of her suitcases on the way home! We all definitely want to come back in the future.

We'll be back!
We have stayed in Kelly and Patrick's cottage numerous times and always have a great stay. The cottage is roomy even for our family of 6 (now including teenagers!) and the location can't be beat. It is clean and comfortable, and well suited to coming back from the beach or a day hiking with the outside shower and door into the laundry room. Each time we come back we are impressed with the improvements Kelly and Patrick continue to make to the cottage--this time new split a/c, king bed, and increased privacy between the house and cottage. The only downside was our vacation ended too quickly--we wish we could have stayed and enjoyed the cottage and islands longer! Aloha!

Great place to stay
First-location. The house was one easy block from an exceptional beach. It’s hard to get a better location than that. The house was very comfortable, with a large bedroom and a very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped kitchen. The real gem is a large screened porch where we spent a lot of time. Yes, there is no air conditioning. However the screen porch has a great breeze and it just wasn’t a problem. The owner was a pleasure, very communicative and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for better. The only issue is that the house is on a somewhat busy street and there is some traffic noise. However, given the many pluses that was a minor issue. My husband and I are already looking at our schedule so we can come again next year.

Amazing property
My friends and I stayed at the property for 1.5 weeks and had a wonderful time. The location of the house is prime - right next to the beach and close to town. Kelly and Patrick were amazing hosts, always very responsive and incredibly kind.

Getaway
The house was very nice and convenient to the beach and several shops. Very short private walk to a beautiful beach where only the homeowners use. A/C in the bedroom was a life saver for us. The lanai was a great place to sit. There is a noisy street in front of the house but it quiets down by 9:30 so sleeping is not an issue.

All we needed was groceries! The hosts are quick to respond if you have any questions. The cottage was nice and clean and definitely gives the hawaiian vibe! We can't wait to visit again!

A Perfect Stay
This place was everything we needed. The hosts were very communicative and friendly. And the property could not have been more ideal. Plenty of space for the family, quick and easy beach access, a screened-in lanai we could not get enough of (we ate every breakfast and dinner out there), and stocked to the nines with amenities galore - beach towels, beach toys, kitchen supplies, laundry supplies, boogie boards... If you are looking to stay in Oahu, this is the place.

I could not imagine staying anywhere else on the island. If you are not into staying in the very touristy area of Waikiki (like me and my family) this is the place for you! The beach is about 1-2 minute walk from this property. This beach has the pretty turquoise water without the crowds of people. I also have to say this property is also a 5 min walk to island snow (in my family’s opinion is the best shave ice on the island—even better than Matsumoto on the north shore). Communication with Kelly and Patrick is easy and they respond quickly. They definitely showed us the Hawaiian hospitality. As far as the house, it’s very clean and cozy! I’ve rented houses before where I could not use the pots and pans, however, this is not the case of Patrick’s and Kelly’s home. They really make sure that their guests are comfortable. My husband and I opted to sleep in the screened sunroom. To hear the birds every morning and the rain when it rained really gave us the island feel. I would recommend this property 100 times over again.

This place is a GEM!!!!
I could not imagine staying anywhere else on the island. If you are not into staying in the very touristy area of Waikiki (like me and my family) this is the place for you! Our family started at this lovely home for a week, and we had a fantastic time. The hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the home has an easy, private beach access nearby. There kitchen was well well stocked and the hosts provided lots of helpful items like beach chairs and umbrellas. We loved the screened porch and spent tons of time out there enjoying the warm Hawaiian breeze. What a lovely trip!

Great time in Kailua
As a returning resident returning for my dads funeral the rental offered a perfect place to rest and enjoy the islands with my mom. We would love to return in the future. Aloha and Mahalo!

Breath taking
My family and kids loved this beach house, it was roomy and super close to the beach. Grocery stores are less than 1 mile away, target is down the street. My kids took full advantage for all the beach toys. Patrick and Kelly were super nice. We will definitely be back soon.

Wonderful!
We had a great stay. Wonderful hosts, a beautiful cottage, and a location you can't beat if you want to be close to the beach and within walking distance to the beach park/shave ice/kayaks/restaurants! Would definitely recommend!
