We love this property! Plenty of space for everyone to relax in their own way AND spaces that accommodate large groups together. The house has everything you need to cook and relax onsite. The beach is gorgeous and the surrounding atmosphere of a small town refreshing!

It was a beautiful old house that has had a very thoughtful and warm and inviting remodel. All of us were super pleased with the place and location. Very comfortable and fun and relaxing. Will definitely keep it on the short list for future beach gatherings.

A quiet location and beach. The home is very nice and well equipped. Our family had a great time together and I appreciated the host and her assistance and communications when I had questions.

We stayed 5 days, enjoyed cooking, family meals walks to the beach, fabulous view, pingpong, pool (billiards), beautiful spaces and rooms. Nearby small town was great.

Our entire extended family (15) stayed at the Reed home this last week. House was well located next to the beach. Also, in easy driving distance to Tillamook (Ice Cream), Seaside, Cannon Beach and Astoria. Experienced multiple great hikes. Had some southern California hikers and they were impressed. Would recommend this property. Two of our group were architects and they were very interested in the redo of this historic home.

The house was fantastic - plenty of room for a big family group and all very comfortable. Pool, ping pong table, big room and screen for video watching, fire pit - all fantastic. Beach access amazing and star gazing on the big deck was excellent. Comfie areas to hang out and big dining table that fit everyone. My only issue was that after reading all the information and then signing a multi-page rental agreement, it was not until the day before our arrival that I received notice that we could only have 1 dog stay at the house. It was just lucky that the two other dogs that I thought were going to be with us stayed at home that weekend. Kind of late notice to impart that kind of information for a house advertised as "dog friendly." But other than the potential dog issue, it was a great weekend.

This house pretty much has it all! Great layout and amenities- the open concept kitchen was so fun to cook in. The mix of vintage and modern is really fun. It was fantastic for a larger group and would even be good for corporate gatherings. The bunk rooms look perfect for kids but less so for an all adult crew (which we were). The neighborhood is lovely but it's a bit of a walk to town. And a hot tub would make it perfect! Highly recommend! But be on the look out for undisclosed fees from VRBO!

Perfection! This lovely home was perfect in every way for our family gathering! Every couple had their own space, we loved the gathering area and TV room. This was by far the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen! Now we just need to come back during the summer! (Although we had perfect weather for our time considering it was November!)
Thank you!

Great facility for large family gathering.
We had nine adults and six kids and all had plenty of space. This is a well-equipped facility. The sunsets were great as was the fire pit on cool evenings. The easy access to the beach provided many opportunities for games and walks by the ocean.

We had a gathering for my father’s memorial, 14 adults and 5 children. The house, views, and beach access were perfect for connecting and being together at one location. I highly recommend it!

Home had many interesting details that we found charming. Weather was good one day of the 2.5 we were here but enjoyed the changes nonetheless.

Perfect!
The Reed home is dialed! We celebrated my husband's birthday with friends and family over a weekend in February, and although he weather didn't allow for much outdoor time we never noticed that we were missing anything. The kitchen is very well stocked, the amenities such as the pool table and ping pong table were a hit. Everything from the beds/ bed linens, well stocked kitchen, the view, the lay out of the seating, all of the puzzles and activities to enjoy in the home lent to a perfect weekend. The hosts answered our questions promptly and the check in/check out was smooth and hassle free. Thank you so much for a perfect weekend!!

Perfect Beach House
This house is perfect for a large familygathering or a business retreat. As a former hotelier, I appreciated the cleanliness of the property, it was exceptionally well kept.
The privacy afforded by the large common areas as well as the location of the bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect.
The outdoor fire pit area couldn't be used during our stay due to typical January Oregon weather, but the fireplace in the living room is exceptional. Large and beautifully created, it brings such warmth throughout the living and dining room. When we were there, there was a great "pay and go" firewood option across from the green medical building on the main road on the way to the house. They had kindling too!
Kim is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful.
The ping pong table and pool tables were both well used during our stay. We didn't watch the big screen TV, there was too much else to keep us occupied.
Lastly, the kitchen is very well stocked with all of the cooking accoutrements that you will need; we so appreciated that as our gathering was during a covid outbreak that precluded our group going out to eat. We comfortably cooked for a group of 12 and the dining table extended to accommodate our number.

Magical family birthday celebration ❤️
Our six children and their spouses gathered together to celebrate Papa’s 74th birthday ‼️We had a home in Manzanita for over 30 years, many beautiful memories of this beach town ‼️Finding the Reed Home was a true gift as we were all able to be in one home‼️The accommodations could not have been more perfect for all of us…each couple had their own room and bath, the separation of spaces in the great room was ideal for multiple conversations ‼️The kitchen is beautifully equipped and the center island served as a wonderful gathering spot for cocktails & appetizers…having two dish washers was the best‼️We will definitely make this our annual gathering place‼️

Great house for large Families!
This house was one of the best I've ever rented. We had 9 adults and 8 of kids staying, but it never felt crowded. The views were beautiful and all of the rooms were so well put together. Great job to the owners on the remodel - they stayed true to the era of the home as much as they could and it turned out amazing. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great stay!
We had 18 adults and children that stayed for 6 days. There was plenty of room for us all the gather and have a place to get away if needed, but the house is not soundproof. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs.
We absolutely loved the house and amenities. The kitchen is well stocked with all types of cookware, dishes, bowls, and containers. The two refrigerators were great. All the beds were comfortable and everything was well supplied. The location is great with the beach just across the road, and we enjoyed the deck and fire pit. We would love to return someday.

Good experience
Somewhat confusing because I received two different prices from VRBO and the owner. Also not clear from the beginning that pets had to be listed and an additional fee for each animal. Not surprising just not made clear from the start.

This house is absolutely amazing. It was a stormy holiday weekend but we still felt like we were at the beach, but were comfortable inside and around the crackling fire and enjoying the amazing views! When the weather cleared we just popped across the street and we were right on miles of beach. The layout of the house worked perfectly for our group. The kids enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table and media area. The adults spread out with numerous games happening, and book reading while some of us prepped amazing meals in the oversized kitchen! The Wi-Fi is excellent for anyone that has to do a little work!We will definitely be back and willl stay longer next time! The owner is amazing and very responsive!

Family reunion success
The Reed House was a huge hit with our family. There was plenty of room for everyone and not once did we feel the pinch of having our whole family together. The weather was perfect our entire stay.

Fantastic Environment for Groups!
We were able to stay here thanks to our studio for the whole weekend and it made for an amazing place to foster our creativity as a group. We spent our time creating and learning and the coast was the perfect backdrop for it. The house was beautiful, clean, and just as described and the hosts were incredibly accommodating and kind. 10/10 would stay again, we are already planning for next year!

Amazing Home!!!
When we walked in, we felt like we'd walked through the TV into an HGTV reveal. Your home, Kim, was a gift for us this spring break, a place of rest after a grueling month with my dad in hospice. He passed on a Thursday and we were in your lovely home the following Monday. The views from nearly every window soothed as did the room to spread out. We had two hilarious ping pong tournaments downstairs as well.

Wonderful House & Wonderful Location
We had a great stay at the Historic Reed House. The weather was mixed while we were there, but the house was comfortable and roomy, with a beautiful view while we were indoors - so time inside was no problem at all. And the beach access right across the street for once the weather cleared was amazing.
Incredibly, the accommodations and the area were both more beautiful than they looked in the pictures. We were very thankful to be able to stay there.

Beautiful, old but loud
Old and beautiful but that means it is noisy. You can hear all footsteps on floors above. Hear water running down pipes when toilets are flushed but it is beautiful

Lovely Home in a Perfect Location!
We had a staff retreat of 9 and it was the perfect setting. The house was charming and it was a great place for our team to work and bond. We all had a wonderful time. Kim also went out of her way to help us retrieve a phone we had left behind. I really appreciated it!

Beautiful property and a great location!
We had a fabulous stay at the Historic Reed House - lots of room for our 15+ people and 2 dogs and easy access to the beach. The house is set up great for large groups with a large kitchen and great room that has different seating areas. The kids really enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table and the easy walk to the beach. The view from the main room and deck just can't be beat! I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect in every way!
Our family of 14 recently stayed at the historic Reed house in Manzanita. Although we were hoping for perfect fall beach weekend weather, it was not to be...instead we got two out of three days filled with fog and steady rain. However, being at a property such as the Reed house saved the weekend. With multiple tv’s, conversation areas, ping pong table, games and puzzles galore, a pool table and the fabulous wide beach across the street we all found plenty to keep us entertained. The house is very well equipped for a large gathering, plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, linens, dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and pans, grills, two dishwashers...in a word, fabulous and complete! The kitchen was a dream to work in! Although we were unable to use the expansive deck, nor the fire pit, the stone fireplace in the living room took the chill off of the dismal weather.
All in all, our weekend together in Manzanita was a total success, thanks to choosing the right accommodations. Thank you, Kim!
We’d love to return!
