I was in Plattsburg for the solar eclipse and was very fortunate to find this lovely cabin. It was so perfectly cozy, rustic yet elegant, and clean. Jennifer and Todd have done an exceptional job with their renovation and were amazing hosts. They have truly thought of every little detail. It was one of the best vacation homes that I've ever rented. The whole area is beautiful and I can't wait to visit again!

The home was beautiful, clean and well equipped and in a perfect location. The check-in process was seamless. We hope to return in the warm weather to take advantage of the lake. Exceeded expectations and highly recommend.

I LOVE staying at Serenity Now!
Unfortunately, I was in area for a family emergency and knowing it was going to be a stressful period made staying at Serenity Now an easy decision.

This property is gorgeous. The cottage has time-piece upgrades and every amenity, yet the whole experience fits into the get-away and unplug category completely. We can't wait to return, relax, and recharge.

This was our second time at this wonderful little cabin on the lake and it was just as great as the first time. We and our pups always enjoy our time here. The cabin is cozy with everything you need. Lake Champlain is at your doorstep, you are in the shadow of the Adirondack mountains, you are a quarter mile from the ferry to Vermont and it’s only about 20 miles due North to the Canadian border. Plenty of great state parks, food and shopping around or just relax at the cabin.

We loved Serenity Now! We really dig the rustic- modern vibe and setting. The location was great for exploring the region. We spent 5 days biking, kayaking, hiking, and sampling the breweries and wineries. We had a wonderful time and hope to return!

This is the only property in my 25+ years of renting vacation homes that I’ve returned to a home I previously rented. We so enjoyed this cozy home and the magical yard with the lights and fire pit. But this home’s unique location makes it ideal for visiting not only upstate NY, but Vermont via the ferry around the corner and Montreal only 1 hour away. My first visit to Montreal was wonderful and I would certainly recommend visiting. All in all a great getaway to find a little Serenity Now!

My wife and are were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. What a great getaway! Wish we could of stayed longer. We both work a lot and it was nice to unwind. This spot is real cozy and quiet. The ferry to Vermont is right down the road and easy access. This is a must stay!

From the moment we arrived, everything was EASY. Easy check-in. Cozy and comfortable lakehouse oozing with "Adirondack appeal". Right on the lake and close to the ferry-- which was SO convenient considering we had a super early return flight out of Burlington. I only wish we could have stayed longer!!!

This is a great little cabin in a beautiful place. Well furnished, thoughtfully decorated, clean with all the amenities. Excellent outdoor space with a beautiful view and lake access. Good location within walking distance of the ferry terminal to Vermont. Close to the town of Plattsburgh (good food) and Point Au Roche State Park (good hiking). Home owner was very responsive, welcoming and easy to work with. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Oh where do I begin? I am so grateful that Jennifer and Todd have decided to share a part of their heaven with me. The house is just divine and so well decorated. As soon as you walk in you can feel the love put into it. The amenities are not lacking. The detailed recommendations are a big plus, not to mention the hostess is always available to my inquiries. It is definitely serene. The waterfront is amazing. The bedroom window is facing east/waterfront and it is so beautiful to wake up with sunrise and with the light glimmering on the water. The water is of perfect temperature. This is just the perfect place to to relax. I will definitely be back for a romantic retreat… Thank you Jennifer and Todd for sharing your place.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and deceivingly big from the outside. Walking in you felt already relaxed with the beautiful rustic and log cabin feel. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking items, bowls, plates and amenities to spend the week relaxing at home.
The view of the lake was absolutely breathe taking. We spent so much time in the hammock, by the fire or swimming in the refreshing water. Our son and even dog enjoyed daily swims and watching the boats sail by. The entry to the lake is definitely one taken with caution and sturdy water shoes are recommended. It is very rocky until you get about 50 or so feet off shore. So make sure you be very cautious. The good thing is there is a public beach not far away if you feel the rocks are too hard to navigate.
The house sleeps six but the upstairs lacks privacy. The two cubby sleeping areas built off the open concept bedroom were absolutely charming. Our son loved it and really made him feel like he was camping. The only real downside I found was the layout of the upstairs half bath. Being tall I hit my head on the ceiling as the toilet was located under a low roofline. So it made it challenging to use the room fully without having to really bend down.

Stayed for several days, just my husband and I, and had a great time! Hosts were very helpful and informative and keep the property in great condition. Ended up having a couple of rainy days, but had no trouble enjoying ourselves in the area and hanging around the property. Backyard is great for drinking/eating while watching the boats on the lake or having a fire. Having direct lake access was great too; water was surprisingly warm for swimming/canoeing (water shoes recommended for swimming as the shore is smooth rocks that can get slippery). We'd already done a lot of Adirondack stuff before, so we mostly stayed in the immediate area and had a good time (lots of great running/biking paths in the area and super easy ferry access to Grand Isle). Kitchen is top-notch, probably the best equipped we've seen on Vrbo. Highly recommended for couples or a family with maybe one or two younger kids.

Serenity Now was a delightful get away for us. It was right on Lake Champlain, and we loved just watching the water, the ferries and wildlife. It was well-equipped and very clean. Would love to visit again!

The perfect MDW getaway
We had a fantastic stay here that will be a happy memory for years to come. This charming cabin was clean, well decorated, and conveniently located. The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with, which is always very helpful when staying at a new place/area. We highly recommend this cabin for those looking to escape the city for a while and to couples/small families wanting an intimate cabin experience together. We really felt at home here so we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Serenity Now…..Perfectly Named
Every trip I take I create a photo book of memories and yesterday I received my book from my Lake Champlain stay. It immediately brought me back to this peaceful place. The home itself is so cozy and clean. Exactly as pictured and you immediately feel a sense of warmth. Everything you need, plus a cozy and comfy bed, and a really nice bathroom/shower. I usually don’t enjoy showering in some homes, but this was worth mentioning, it was comfortable, warm, clean, and the bathroom has its own heater. Now onto the deck and backyard. The deck had really comfy chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon rest. We loved the fire pit and the design (3 sided slate) reflected the warmth back to us enabling us to spend hours into the evening enjoying the fire. Despite the rain we made fires 3 of our 4 nights. The lights in the backyard made the experience truly magical, I loved those lights! The lake is formidable but beautiful and we’ll have to return in the warm months to enjoy it as well. The ferry to The Grande Isle and Vermont is walking distance from the home, but you’ll want to bring your car. We watched the ferry come and go from the yard and enjoyed our ride on it and our day trip to Burlington. We unfortunately hit some rainy days but still enjoyed local sites and restaurants/ breweries. The food around town was excellent. Jennifer was a pleasure to talk with and is always available, we didn’t need to contact her, everything was perfect. In summary I believe this is one of the most beautiful peaceful places I’ve stayed. We loved it, if you need an escape from the stress of your every day routine, this is the place to stay.

A wonderful place with an ambiance of pure serenity. Spectacular sunrise view right on Lake Champlain. The cabin was very clean (spotless actually) and well stocked. The decor was tasteful and cozy. It is a must stay if you’re in the area - I will definitely be renting again.

Perfect Cozy Cabin
Where can I begin? Jennifer is amazing and very thoughtful!! She communicated with me from the moment I requested to reserve this beautiful cabin to surprise my husband for his 40th birthday. Check in is super easy. Jennifer prepares a binder of helpful resources/ things to do, places to eat and we found this very helpful. We didn’t stay during what would be considered “in-season” but that didn’t stop us from exploring the beautiful areas around us. The cabin is very clean and has so much character. We appreciate the craftsmanship. Every part of this cabin has a meaningful purpose. The cabin has many things you would need! The location is great! Just steps away from Lake Champlain. We enjoyed waking up and watching the Unforgettable sunrise every morning (the keurig was a bonus). Our kids (ages 7 & 9) really loved the backyard hammock swing which overlooks the lake as they watched the ferry come and go. They also enjoyed the bunk beds and reading nooks !! We made sure to make s’mores in the fire pit also. This is the perfect place if you are looking to unplug, reconnect and rest. While visiting we recommend stopping at the Red Rooster antique shop, Ausable Chasm is a breath taking must see. Jennifer made herself very available if we needed anything and wants her guests to have a great experience. She suggested we stop at Rulf’s Orchard. This did not disappoint ! BESt cider donuts and also a nice place to pick up some gifts! We wish we had more time but look forward to returning again!
