The place was great we were there for a week and it was nice everything was so close we really enjoyed all the space there was

Condo property was conveniently located to beaches, shops and attractions. Amazing views and sunsets. We were able to watch turtles from the balcony every day. Owners were great with responses to questions and checkin/checkout was very smooth. Property was as expected with nice beach extras and dedicated parking. Only minor issue is that the unit is not air conditioned and this was not obvious from the listing. With the unit being on an upper floor and ample fans this ended up not being a big problem

It's all about the view! The view is a 10 plus, there is no arguing the view! You really can't get a better view. As other people have mentioned, the property does need a little TLC and the hosts have stated they price it accordingly and I agree with that; but little things that would take very little effort would help. The bathroom faucet in the master bath leaks all over the counter when it runs for few, hence the reason for the water build up around the faucet so it needs to be addressed. As someone mentioned before, the slider in the master bedroom needs attention; it was extremely hard to open, really stuck. A little bit of paint could go a long way in the property and give it a nice refresh as well as fixing the towel bar that is making holes in the bathroom door. I felt the cleaners could have been a little more detailed in their cleaning. I understand that it is a condo and there should only be starter items available which I am totally fine with - but an almost gone roll of paper towels, a used kitchen sponge instead of replacing it with a new one for each guest - is that something the cleaning crew is responsible for? if those little things won't bother you then this would be a great choice! Andrew was great with communication when we booked it and with any questions, we had prior to arriving, so I am only docking the cleaning part but wanted to mention a few things that could use improvement. Thanks so much for the amazing view!

Amazing view and location, saw sea turtles everyday off the balcony. Great communication from the hosts throughout the whole process (prior to arriving and when there) and also very responsive (had a minor shower issue, they contacted their handyman and was fixed the same day). Overall great experience!

We so enjoyed the lanai and view! The condo was very comfortable, I let owner know about a few concerns that I’m sure he will address. We had great breezes but do wish the entry door had louvre to allow cross breeze at night. Nice complex, warm pool, friendly people. Beds were very comfortable, sofa sleeper not so much for an adult and needs to be replaced. Cleaning company needs to do better job and owner will address that. Very good communication and he appreciated my suggestions and input. We hope to come again sometime

We had booked Andrews place a few months before the fires and never being to Maui before Andrew was very helpful with quick responses to all our messages. His unit is great with amazing views. We loved every minute of it and would stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect and property was amazing. We loved the large balcony and view. We saw multiple sea turtles everyday from the balcony. I can’t wait to come back and would love to stay here again.

Everything was great, But it would be better if you would install Cordless Light Filtering UV Protection PVC Manual Roll-Up Sun. The one my brother stayed in on the forth floor had it and it helped keep the condo a bit cooler since it don’t have air conditioning. Also the door vents are blocked off so I couldn’t open it. It would of help if I would had been able to open them to get that nice breeze to come in I would have to prop the door open through out the day. But out of luck at night since I was not about to leave the door propped open.

The property and location were excellent. Watching the sunset from the balcony was a highlight each day. The other highlight was seeing all the stars due to low light pollution. Recommend this property highly.

Turtles
This property was perfect for our family of 6. It was clean and well kept. We appreciated all of the fans made available for every room. The highlight was watching the Honu (sea turtles) from the lanai each morning. We went snorkeling with them, keeping our distance, and had a great time. Great location and would stay here again.

This was our second visit to this specific unit.
We have stayed at hololani multiple times. We love the location. Underground assigned parking was very convenient. Enough cannot be said about the view. It’s amazing. We loved to whale watch daily from the lanai.
I would return to this unit again as I love that the second lanai is not enclosed like many of the other units. Communication with the owner is quick and easy. Thanks again for letting us enjoy your beautiful property! ❤️

Turtles!
Location was absolutely perfect for us. We had 2 couples and the separate bedrooms and bathrooms worked perfectly for us. We were able to see the resident turtles and whales, and rainbows after a storm. Beautiful.

Can’t beat the view and location….
This property is one of our favorites and we have stayed in multiple units here. This one has one of the better views - you truly can’t beat it. In all of our trips to Maui we’ve never seen this many turtles right outside the condo and from the condo they were so big!!! Andrew was beyond kind and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge :) While the owner and property the condo is on are fabulous, its time for this unit to get a facelift of some sort. Yes its definitely one of the cheaper units in Maui, however, just know that’s why. We wish things could’ve been a little more updated, as it didn’t appear that untouched in the pictures. If that stuff doesn’t bug you then this is a great spot!

The location and view in my opinion are second to none. I have been staying at the Hololani every couple years since 1977. This property could use an update, but is completely functional. I hope to be back soon.

Beautiful view!
Very spacious condo, the private lanai on the master was amazing! You have a perfect view from every room!!! We loved eating breakfast everyday in front of the ocean. Lots of fans helped keep us cool. Loved all of the tips and tricks and the bottle of wine they gifted us. Overall 4/5 the view definitely made up for any faults!

Beautiful stay!
We had a wonderful week here. The views are amazing the home is perfect for a Hawaiian get away! We enjoyed all the space and amenities of the condo. Turtles and whales every day off of patio made our mornings magical. Great host and nice touch having a chilled bottle of wine to enjoy upon arrival.

Our favorite spot by far!
From the moment we arrived the designated parking space in the garage and carts to bring all our groceries and luggage up to the condo was the start of a wonderful and relaxing stay! The view was absolutely amazing! We have been to Maui several times and this condo was absolutely fabulous! The view was breathtaking! We typically wake up early and leave to enjoy all that Maui has to offer, but we found ourselves taking our time enjoying breakfast, watching turtles, fish, whales, locals fishing and more. We would come home and enjoy our wine at night to watch the sunsets. At night after the kids fell asleep we would sit out in the private lanai off of the master bedroom and enjoy the nighttime ocean sounds and watch the local fisherman. We slept so great to the sound of the ocean waves, the condo was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed using the boogie boards and beach items items everyday. The condo was well stocked with kitchen essentials, paper products, laundry detergent, and more. The owners, Andrew and Melissa were attentive from the start and showed care and compassion for us. Our search is over! We plan to stay here every time we visit Kahana, or until we purchase our own space! Thank you again!

Fabulous Maui trip!
Hololani is the perfect place for us! So close to the ocean we heard the waves all night long and loved it. Looking out from the lanai, we saw whales, turtles, spinner dolphins, surfers, paddle boarders, outrigger canoes and kayaks. Morning coffee never tasted so good! This unit had everything we needed. Each bedroom had a private outdoor lanai with beautiful views of the ocean. Most units do not have this wonderful feature. Very comfortable beds and pillows, big screen TV in living area (we watched our Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV) as well as a TV and private bath in each bedroom. We really enjoyed the Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas, snorkel gear, boogie boards, washer/dryer, reserved underground parking spot, elevator, fantastic oceanside pool with plenty of lounge chairs, super clean grills, freshwater showers by the pool and the most incredible sunsets in the world! Hololani is located in Kahana, which is an area we really enjoy. Before going to the grocery store, check the kitchen cabinets. We found coffee filters, coffee to get us started, olive oil, and lots of spices. In the closet by the kitchen we had laundry pods and a few dryer sheets (we brought our own, so didn't need them). Check under the sink for trash bags, dishwasher pods (again, we brought our own), liquid dish soap, windex, etc to see what's there. It's nice to leave those things that you buy and don't use for the next group. Have a wonderful Maui vacation in this Hololani unit!

Excellent location and place
Their were great amenities and a wonderful view from our room. The added bonus of having things such as snorkeling gear gave my family and I a wonderful experience on the coastline that is viewable just outside you window. Overall it was a wonderful place to reside in during our stay in Maui.

Amazing View!
Perfect size condo with an incredible view! Everything you could imagine is provided in the condo! We had snorkel gear, boogie boards, cooler etc. etc. Pool and complex are very well kept and in a great quiet location. The view is stunning, watching sunsets and whales from the patio was the highlight of the trip!

Would choose this location again.
Several people had stated that this location was dated. But as Andrew has stated it is priced lower than the others. It had everything we needed for our stay and who sits in a condo when you are in Hawaii. The location is excellent and there is a beach right in front of the condo. Andrew quickly took care of minor problems we had. Not having air conditioning in Maui is quite common. We have stayed on Maui 4 times in 4 different locations and have never had air.

The views are absolutely beautiful, however the unit is outdated and the bathrooms in poor condition
My family and I have been to Maui several times before wanted to give this facility a try. My parents stay here all the time and their previous units over the years have been beautiful. When I saw the information on VRBO this unit looked very nice, but when we arrived it was not as it looked in the pictures. The views are absolutely beautiful, however the unit definitely needs some updating. The bathrooms are in poor condition with rust on the shower surrounding and mold on the soap handles. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the unit. The pictures that are posted definitely painted a different image from what I walked into. I do have to say the owners are nice and communication was good before our trip. They kindly had a bottle of wine and water waiting in the refrigerator, which was much appreciated. I personally feel that the unit just needs a little TLC and will an amazing rental property once that is done.

Beautiful view....
This condo has gorgeous views of the ocean. Overall it is very spacious and fit our family perfect for our 9 day stay. We liked the 2 lanai's! However, it is more outdated than what it appears by the pictures. The tile floors felt dirty/sandy and both bathroom showers weren't the cleanest(hair and dried soap on the walls). The kitchen could use some potholders and a couple more dishtowels of typical size. The ones supplied were like large dishcloths. We did love all the beach gear that was available!! That was awesome! And the ice packs for the cooler...those detail items are great! Overall the condo itself was moderate in our opinion. Although the beach is feet away access is somewhat of an annoyance. We did have concerns/problems that in no way were linked to the unit specifically, but rather the Hololani resort. The first night we arrived our girls were excited to go see the beach. It was about 8pm and fairly dark and we were walking along the sidewalk in front of the building when our 14 year old daughter was tripped by orange construction fencing that was drooping across the sidewalk about a foot off the ground. It was nearly impossible to see as it was in an unlit area and an obviously serious tripping hazard. She skinned up her foot and knee and had a huge bruise covering one knee. Thankfully nothing more serious. Second, they are in the process of painting the exterior which overall was no big deal, however it would have been nice to have been given notice that this was happening during our stay. The painters left a few things outside our door which we had to move to be able to open the screen door. One day they did grinding right at our door threshold which filled the condo with an awful smell and was extremely loud. They did grinding at other units as well which again was very loud and shook the units. The pool area is nice but you can't even be in that area(not even sitting on a chair)before 9am or after 9pm which seems very limited.
The owners seem very attentive to their unit and we really appreciated the correspondence prior to our arrival.

Incredible Views and Sea Turtles
Our unit in the Hololani Oceanfront Condominiums was wonderful! The view is AMAZING, with fantastic sunsets, rainbows, and turtles visible almost daily from the deck. The unit is well stocked, with staples and everything you could need in the kitchen. There are plenty of towels and toiletries; we were here for 2 weeks so replaced a few items. There are also 2 umbrellas and 3 beach chairs that can be used. We took them to Slaughterhouse Beach, which was INCREDIBLE and loaded with sea turtles and fish. The owners, Rosalia & Andrew, were readily available by email or telephone, and sent a multitude of helpful of documents by email, and there are many here in the condo (we leave today), as well as books and brochures. As we do not have room in the car for 4 sets of luggage, and we check out at 11:00 am today, we asked the ladies in the office if we could leave half of our luggage with them and come back for it later as out nieces leave earlier flight than us. They were very accommodating. The only negative is that this unit, as well as all units in the building, does not have air conditioning. The building will not allow it due to how the electricity is regulated. We were here the first 2 weeks of June, and honestly did not need it. The trade winds blow through and keep the condo very comfortable. I will miss them! I don't know how the condo would be in July/August, or if the trade winds die down, but we were not bothered by the lack of air conditioning. With the windows and lanai doors open (with the screens), the breeze and sound of the waves was lovely. The pool was like a bath, the water warm and very clean. The 3 barbecues and the pool area were meticulously cleaned every morning, and gardeners were hard at work almost daily. The unit is older, so don't expect stainless steel and granite. But it is very comfortable, and we enjoyed it immensely. Thank you, Rosalia & Andrew, for sharing your home!

Beautiful View/Owner Great to Work With
We enjoyed our stay and Andrew was very accommodating and helpful. There is probably not a better view in Maui. The only suggestion I would make would be that an update of the kitchen and bathrooms would enhance the experience.

Family vacation
Condo was very nice and clean. Had everything you needed for the beach and to save money by cooking in and not having to eat every meal out. The best part of course were the views, you can never get enough of the Maui sunsets from the Lanai!! My grandkids loved watching the turtles and seeing the humpback whales breaching!!! Would highly recommend!!!

Relaxing with amazing view, helpful owner
Larger than expected home with unbeatable views of the ocean. I believe we saw whales every day from the Lanai, and I was able to photograph a momma whale teaching her calf to tail slap. All we heard all week was the sound of waves. The full kitchen with washer and dryer are very convenient for our stay. When a couple of unexpected issues occurred (normal things which are not preventable) the owner was prompt and helpful with responding, so each time we were able to get back to our vacation easily. We stayed here at the recommendation of a friend, and will surely recommend it to others and return to stay again.

It’s the 180 degree view from the 6th floor deck that is the best that we have experienced on Maui!
Nice condo layout in a great location with a fabulous 180 degree view. The deck is perfect for morning coffee and humpback whale watching for hours. There are also surfers and paddleboarders to watch from sunrise to sunset. We used the beach umbrella, beach chairs and boogie board furnished for us in the condo. This is the second time we have stayed in this condo, and will do so again!

Great location in Maui!
This condo is right on the water. Ocean views and beautiful sunsets every night! There was some construction during the day and the elevator broke, but you can't beat the location.
