We stayed for UofA's graduation and absolutely loved it. Hosts are responsive and kind. The house is very relaxing and safe.

My husband and I loved the Sam Hughes neighborhood. We walked to Flora Market Run and Bob Dobb’s for lunch. So many places that we wanted to visit were only 1 - 2 miles away. Great location. The house felt like home on the first day. Lil and Henry were gracious hosts, bringing over a couple of things we needed and helping us out with getting our absentee ballots for an important election back home. We had 3 groups of family visit us during the month and we hosted Easter dinner for seven. Half way through our month we booked this house for a month next year. We can’t wait!

We had such a plesant visit in Tucson for the past 4 weeks while staying in Lilian & Henry's lovely home. All the qualities needed for a relaxing stay were included in the well furnished home. As a person who likes to cook, I found the kitchen well equipped and almost every need anticipated. The location was ideal as well with excellent restaurants within walking distance and a great fresh market at Flora's. Himmel Park with its many attractions was only a short block away. Plan to be there around noon on Sunday to listen to music by what appears to be a pick-up jam session with local musicians. How special! This was the best rental experience that we have had in Tucson! Thank you Lilian and Henry!

We love Lillian’s place! The neighborhood it’s in is beautiful and it’s so convenient to great restaurants, the University, Sabino Canyon and downtown. Plus, Lillian is great to work with. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great midcentury house in historic Sam Hughes neighborhood. Walk to Flora’s Market Run. Nice private walled yard with cute lizards and spectacular bird watching. Kitchen was very well stocked. Bathrooms were great - plenty of hot water, spotless. Owners were very prompt and helpful in all communications.

we go to Tucson from Santa Fe 2x annually to visit children/grandchildren and have probably stayed in 10+/- different VRBO properties there. My wife and I both considered this property the best so far.
It is a 50s home, renovated very nicely and tastefully decorated. While compact, it has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a nice living room and separate dining area, pleasant patios front and rear, a very good kitchen, large and private yard, off-street parking. Our bed was very comfortable.
It is in the Sam Hughes neighborhood, which is a very quiet, safe, convenient area full of interesting and well-maintained homes. The home is 1 1/2 short blocks from Himmel Park, which is a nice park a walk from the home around which and back to the home is just over a mile and very pleasant.
Communications with the owners was very good, as were the access and other instructions. The home was very clean upon arrival. Internet was a bit slow - but this is the 3rd Sam Hughes home in which we've stayed, and that was the case with all three. This was a working vacation for me - I'm a partially retired attorney and rely on the I/N very much - and the slowness did not present any problems for me.
We would happily return to this property and feel comfortable recommending it strongly.

We loved staying in Li and Henry’s beautifully appointed house in the Sam Hughes neighborhood. It was incredibly well stocked with all we needed in the kitchen, the linens were excellent and the living room was a wonderful place to relax. The front patio is delightful and we so enjoyed all the bird activity. The house is about a 3 minute walk from Himmel Park which is a wonderful “stage” for walking, running, birding, bocce ball, picnics, etc. We loved our one month stay and have already made arrangement to return late in 2023. This is just a lovely property thoughtfully presented. Walking in the neighborhood and to the UW campus is just wonderfu. It is also 1/2 block from a major Bike/Ped Blvd. We loved it.

The perfect accommodations for our late-November visit to the Old Pueblo! Conveniently located in the Sam Hughes neighborhood, just minutes from the University and downtown. The patio and courtyard offered a secluded spot to enjoy the afternoon sun while strumming guitar. Will definitely book again on my next visit to Tucson!

Excellent house in a great neighborhood, close to some of the best spots in Tucson. Walking distance to the U of A made it a great home base to visit our daughter. This well stocked and cozy gem left us leaving wanting to return soon.

Plumbing Problems
This is a lovely house with nice sized bedrooms, great morning light for breakfast outside and walking distance to the university.
Unfortunately, we experienced backed up plumbing that caused us to spend our morning dealing with water soaked floors, a backed up toilet and unable to shower or do laundry as planned for the day.
The owner did get a plumber out t o fix the problem but they were at the house all day and we had to change our plans for the day.
The plumbing problem turned out to have been created by the previous month long renters but we had to deal with the consequences. We weren't offered any compensation for the day, so this left us unable to give this otherwise lovely rental more than a 2 star rating.

A great place to stay in Tucson!
This is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy all that Tucson has to offer. Not only is the house very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, but the outdoor spaces were great for eating and just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Close to the University of Arizona in the beautiful Sam Hughes neighborhood, it was also walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. It was a short drive to hiking trails and state and national parks. The homeowners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The only reason we didn’t reserve it for next year was because it was already booked up!

Family Gathering in Tucson
Casa Bella was a. comfortable convenient home for our family of 2 couples and one adult single, gathering in Tucson. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms were comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals . Outdoor seating areas in front and behind the house were great for morning coffee and cocktail time before dinner. A two space carport is easily accessible from the alley. It’s a short two block walk to a pleasant park. Easy access to the University, Ballard Medical Center and to downtown Tucson. We would certainly consider staying here again, if we return to Tucson.

Absolutely Wonderful Home
This experience was so nice! The home is in a quiet, adorable neighborhood close to a great park, biking distance to the U of A and restaurants. We were able to cook in the kitchen and relax on the two patios, as well as get rest in the comfortable beds. The linens and towels are great quality and the kitchen was well-appointed. The snacks were great because we were hungry when we arrived! Communication with Lil was excellent and she responded to questions immediately. Overall, staying in this adorable home made for a great Tucson vacation! Thank you!

Lovely home in convenient central location
Well- maintained, unfussy modern home in quiet neighborhood. Lots of small touches (high quality linens and towels, well-equipped kitchen, supply of bottled water and snacks, toiletries in bathroom) to enhance stay. Pleasant outdoor spaces (front and back) with table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. Hosts very responsive. Note: we used the back entrance for elderly family member, as there are a few steep/narrow steps to enter front yard. Would definitely rent again when visiting Tucson.

All the Comforts of Home
This property was just what we needed for our visit. Lil had the kitchen stocked with everything needed to eat in. She also supplied snacks and bottled water to get us started. The house was very clean, the bedrooms were very nice sizes and there were plenty of extra sheets and towels if needed. The mattresses were too firm for us but we were able to borrow a foam topper for one. We liked being so close to the park because having a 3 hour time difference caused the littles to be up very early. We'll definitely stay again!

Great Little Get Away
We were watching baseball at Hi Corbett field for the weekend and wanted a place to stay nearby. This house was perfect! It is just 2 miles from the ballpark. It was 100+ degrees the whole weekend but 722 had nice and cool AC to come home to. Bob Dobbs is right around the corner for food and refreshments. We had a great stay.

Smack in the middle of town, and yet it was as quiet as the outskirts. This house is welcoming and comfortable with all the amenities you’d need. Top marks to the owners.

Perfect Week in Tucson
We stayed at the house on Sawtelle Road for a week in mid April. The hosts clearly have a highly developed artistic sense; every detail shows a meticulous and pleasing aesthetic. Both the front and back yards are quiet havens with lovely desert vegetation. As the weather was rather warm we spent time in the front yard in the morning and the back in the evening, when they were shaded.
The house and furnishings are remarkable; not an extraneous detail, but everything we needed was there. There is a wonderful feeling of light and space throughout. The kitchen was well appointed and generously stocked with little snacks, and the bedrooms quite comfortable. We had no problem communicating with our hosts, who were very welcoming and flexible. We loved the tranquil and friendly neighborhood, and the city of Tucson as well. We found ourselves considering retirement there, especially if we could find a house we liked nearly as much as the one on Sawtelle Road.

Great location, adorable and comfortable house
My husband, teen daughter, and I stayed in this very attractive rental for a week. We enjoyed walking around the quirky and architecturally interesting Sam Hughes neighborhood including the nearby park and appreciated the house’s central location and easy access to the university, shops & restaurants, and hiking trails (20 -30 min in any direction).
The house itself is well and thoroughly furnished and equipped, including such helpful amenities as laundry detergent, cooking equipment, good lighting, etc. and we had everything we needed for a great week. Thank you so much to the helpful and welcoming hosts!

Spotless home in great location.
My wife and I stayed for a title over a week. We have nothing but good things to say about the house, the property and our experience. We don’t know Tucson well, but this seemed to be right in the heart of one of the nicest neighborhoods. Very quiet and private, but walking distance to nice shops, eateries, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything worked. Nice front yard and back. Well stocked kitchen. Great communication with owner. No negatives. We highly recommend it.

Tucson Christmas
We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas in Tucson from rainy Seattle. This home was comfortable, roomy and with a few twinkle lights brought from home plus all the Christmas lights in the neighborhood, very festive. We appreciated the 2 full baths + 3 bedrooms with our 2 young adult sons and never felt cramped. The Sam Hughes neighborhood is delightful. Should we need another stay in Tucson, we'd love to stay here again. Thanks Lil!

Peaceful stay and great location to explore Tucson
We really enjoyed our 14 days stay...contemporary furnishings, well equipped kitchen, quiet neighborhood, comfortable home. Off street parking and nice yard although in January a bit too chilly to cook/eat outside. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, University, all good! Highly recommend.

Fantastic home in a great neighborhood. Our family of four really enjoyed our time here and we were able to take advantage of many of the home's amenities including the grill and front and back patios. Home was spotless and check in was very easy. Walking distance to a great park that the kids enjoyed. We would happily stay here again in the future. Thank you!
