On my first trip to Toronto, I wasn’t sure where to go… I wanted a quaint neighborhood, with little shops, restaurants, trees, gardens, EASY access to public transportation, easy getting to downtown, friendly hosts, cute little apartment, nice neighbors… This sweet Garden apartment is this and so much more!! A charming back patio a very walkable town( my friend and I averaged 7+ miles a day… ). Tony and Steve were splendid hosts with suggestions on what to do, odd needs (I like to cook) in the kitchen, and very quick on requests and questions…
We got to know a few of the neighbors and so enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood!
You will definitely be happy with this little home away from home…

A Nice Place to Stay
We had very pleasant experience renting this property. The property manager provided great value -- obtaining our neighborhood parking pass, stocking the fridge with breakfast essentials (including eggs, OJ, milk, bread, and butter), welcoming us with a bottle of wine, and providing documented information about the neighborhood.
The property is located in a clean, safe and friendly neighborhood, with a pub, restaurants, bakeries, etc. within close walking distance.
We always found parking available on our block.
Tony, the property manager was accessible, and accommodating; and he is a very pleasant person, who did everything to ensure that our stay was pleasant

Spent 3 nights here, and it could not have been better. Tony was great. He assisted us with getting our parking pass, directions to local restaurants (we were quite hungry when we got there), and even had the refrigerator stocked with milk, juice and eggs for breakfast, along with a bottle of wine waiting for us too. The location was perfect as well, as it was only a 10 minute walk to Yonge street.
We'd give more than 5 stars if we could.
We WILL be back!

A definite recommend!
I enjoyed my time there with my daughter to visit my son. Tony was a great host and was not intrusive at all. Tony had our parking pass ready to go when we arrived. The place is very clean and if you forgot something they probably have it. In walking distance to transit and in walking distance to some nice eateries as well. I would stay there again if I was in TO and would recommend to my friends if they were going out that way. Thanks again Tony.

Awesome first time experience using an airbnb!
We had a wonderful experience staying at Tony and Steve’s home. They welcomed us and made our stay very personable. They shared their knowledge of the area including transportation, food and ideas for exploring! We even got to take in a local festival happening just around the corner! It was a great local experience! The apartment was cozy and welcoming and everything we needed was at our fingertips. The location was great! We had the neighbourhood feel while still being close to the city excitement! We wouldn’t hesitate to use this home again!

Family friendly & great location!
This basement suite in Cabbagetown was the perfect location for our stay. The local coffee shops, restaurants and stores were plentiful, delicious and great for families. The neighborhood is stunning and picturesque (there was a TV show being filmed the day after we left). Also, walking distance to downtown (with a stroller). The host was lovely and very hospitable, providing us with breakfast food for our stay and access to a backyard that felt like a retreat after a long day of sightseeing. We will definitely return for another stay!

Couldn’t be better!
Tony and Steve are the best. The property was all it said it was plus much, much more. The location has to be one of the most convenient in Toronto. Easy to find, one block from the streetcar into the middle of the city, and a fabulous neighborhood. Tony and Steve anticipated our every need including a first aid kit with bandaids for a blister. Coffee, half & half, and chilled wine were in the refrigerator when we arrived. Besides that, the apartment itself looks as though it could be featured in a slick magazine on apartment living. I wanted to stay! Fabulous find.

Cozy and Well Appointed Cabbagetown Stay
Our adult daughter, my husband and I really enjoyed our Three night Toronto stay in Tony's apartment. The rental has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, laundry facilities and cozy, appealing living room - all clean and well appointed. Tony was very welcoming and available for inquiries and information about the area. We will be back! What a wonderful stay in a vibrant and historical part of the city. Thank you, Tony, for your gracious hospitality.

Toronto family week
This is a fantastic one-bedroom with separate sleeping alcove in a comfortable home, close to all major attractions and transit options, in a wonderful urban community. Tony and Steve were outstanding hosts (they greeted us with a bottle of wine and cupcakes during our stay!), and created an extremely comfortable stay for us. The property itself is cozy, relaxing and convenient. We also loved Cabbagetown itself and its beautiful and well-kept Victorian architecture. Overall, we highly recommend this rental for your visit and know your stay will be part of wonderful memories during your Toronto visit. The apartment is perfect for families, couples, vacation and business travelers. We hope to return!

Great location, clean and comfortable, gracious hosts!
The apartment is clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything you could need. Tony and Steve are great hosts — very available (they live upstairs) but not intrusive. They even stock the kitchen with fruit, eggs, juice, bread and milk and leave a bottle of wine to welcome you. They provide lots of info about the area and lots of restaurant recommendations.
The historic neighborhood is interesting and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. It’s also very easy to get to all the Toronto sites by hoping on the streetcar a block away.
I will definitely stay here again when I visit Toronto in the future

Lovely, clean, well-appointed apartment
The apartment is in the lower level of a Victorian home in a quiet area of Old Cabbagetown and walking distance to the Mattamy Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there due to the clean, comfortable beds, the well-equipped kitchen and the amenities left for guests by the accommodating hosts.

Could not ask for anything better
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay in Cabbagetown! Tony and Steve are wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the personal feel of the apartment and the attention to detail. The place has everything travelers might need (including some breakfast foods which we really appreciated!). The apartment is nicely furnished, clean, quiet, and in a great neighborhood and location. Perfect space for our family of two adults and two teens. We could not ask for anything better for our stay.

Fantastic place for family stay. We spent there more than week. During all this days only once use public transportation. Its so close everywhere.
The area is very friendly and clean. Nearby there are many shops, cafes, restaurants.
Kitchen outlet is very richly equipped which makes it one of the main strengths.
Strongly recomended!.

My wife and I visited this rental in 2010 and again in April 2017. We recommend it without reservation. The unit was nice seven years ago and it's been thoroughly updated since. The kitchen and bathroom have been completely redone. Each is beautiful! The neighborhood is great. Block after block of vintage brick Victorians that have been lovingly preserved or restored. An air of friendliness permeates the area. People smile and greet visitors as if they were neighbors. Down the block, Parliament Street has a variety of interesting, varied and affordable dining options. Mass transit options are immediately accessible. The homeowners, Tony and Steve, may be the best part of the experience. They are accommodating and available, but respectful of your right of quiet enjoyment to the rental.
You experience Toronto like a resident here. You reside on the edge of downtown but are not imprisoned by the cold, glass and steel high-rises that dominate the mid-town rental market. Five stars doesn't seem to be enough.

Just returned from four fun-filled days in Toronto. Can not say enough about our hosts Tony and Steve. Thoughtful and helpful. The apartment was large, extremely comfortable and very well outfitted. If they didn't have it you didn't need it! We walked to CN tower and around back to amazing little restaurants around the corner. Apartment is well located to attractions in Toronto. You may walk, bus, trolley or subway right from downtown Cabbagetown. We will definitely return to both Toronto and this charming apartment.

The property was perfect, just enough room for a couple people and located in a great location. Tony (one of the owners) was very welcoming and knowledgeable when it came to giving us recommendations of places to check out. This was one of my best stays yet!!

Loved our stay. The location was perfect for our needs to visit Toronto as it was convenient to downtown, and yet a quiet and quaint neighborhood with wonderful restaurants. The apartment was comfortable, well maintained, and beautiful in décor. The kitchen was stocked with everything a chef would need for food preparation in the kitchen. There was always one of the two owners on the premises if we needed anything, including help with directions and transportation. They were helpful and gracious, and even went so far as to drive us to the airport for our airline travel back home. Our favorite restaurant in the area was the Pear Tree with delicious and creative dishes. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

A lovely basement apartment which Tony has furnished very nicely. He also supplied everything very thoughtfully - everything we needed was there from milk and coffee, cereal, bread, wine to slippers, plenty of towels, bedding, dvd's, dishwasher, washing-machine....etc etc. Really unexpected! The size would be ideal for a couple and was perfectly good for 2 couples for a short stay. We found the bed in the main bedroom really comfortable (but we were cosier than usual due to a bit of a dip in the middle of the mattress!). Excellent location - lots of bars, restaurants and shops all in walking distance in Cabbagetown, Distillery District walkable, and easy tram or subway rides all across downtown.would highly recommend.

Ideal spot to stay in Cabbagetown - a few minutes walk to restaurants, shops and bars and bus stop. Good sized, comfortable accomodation, nicely presented and had everything to hand - even down to needles and coloured thread in one of the drawers - just in case. Generous hosts had left milk, eggs , spreads in fridge, plus cornflakes, bread and a bottle of wine to welcome us. We were pleasantly surprised by Cabbagetown much better staying there and enjoying the village feel, green spaces and lack of immediate high rise than downtown. The bus runs 24 hours and only takes about 15 mins. to reach downtown

Tony and Steve were the absolute best! They were accommodating to our family needs. We arrived in Toronto earlier than planned, they allowed us to check-in to the property earlier in order for us to go sight see the rest of the day. They had bread, eggs, milk, and chicken nuggets in the refrigerator for our kids so we didn't have to go to the grocery store on our first day there. The home was very beautiful and clean, the home decor' was also very put together. Tony and Steve gave us lots of great tips on getting around and the city and they didn't mind answering any questions we had during our stay. Our last night there, Tony brought my children popsicles and Steve let them help water their garden. Steve and Tony even let my children play the Wii game with them, my children absolutely love them! Thank you Tony and Steve for making our first time in Canada so welcoming...my family will be visit Toronto again. 😊
