Located on the Manatee River, this custom-built dream home offers a dose of the Florida lifestyle that will make it hard to ever leave. With amazing attention to detail, guest comfort and convenience, this home was recently remodeled and is ready to accommodate your dream vacation.
The location of The Moorings is the best of many worlds, with the beaches of Anna Maria Island only 11 miles away by car, St. Pete and Tampa 25 miles, and Sarasota, host of the 2017 World Rowing Championship, only 18 miles away.
The Moorings offers everything a waterfront home should with over 219 feet of water frontage with a dock that allows for a boat up to 40 feet. The intercostal waterways are just around the corner and the Gulf of Mexico not much further. No boat, no problem! Bring your fishing pole and drop a line from the private dock. Bask in the breeze off the Bayou and take in the Old Florida feel as the fishing is plentiful in the Manatee River, home to snook, redfish, and trout.
Enjoy a peaceful float in your private pool, or take an afternoon snooze as you occasionally listen to the sounds of the swaying palms and gently breaking waves lap against the seawall. The place was great. As nice as advertised on quiet street. It was a nice place to relax after a long day on the beach. We did some fishing on the dock. If i had to pick something to complain about, it would be the downstairs bedroom mattress. It was VERY firm. Upstairs matress was quite comfortable. Also be prepared for mosquitos. It wasnt a big problem for us, however. Citronella candle and spray outside and wasn't too bad.

We loved the outdoor area with the pool so much! Need to treat for mosquitoes so people can enjoy it at night too. We got so many bug bites:(
The beds were also very hard.
Other than that the beach gear was amazing to have on site, great stocked kitchen for cooking. Grocery store and a cute little coffee shop right down the road. Very convenient location if staying in the area.

We had a wonderful time at the house. The kids stayed busy with the pool and fishing from the dock. There was a nice patio area next to the pool so we found ourselves outside most of the time. We even saw some dolphins and manatees swim by the dock!

The house is absolutely beautiful and the back yard oasis balances both views and privacy. Don’t let the lovely foliage fool you, there is plenty of sun out there. The location was a great starting point for places we were going which was everywhere and every direction. If there are any visitors that have difficulty getting around, please know this is a split floor plan with stairs to get in the front door as well. It did not affect our group at all but worth mentioning. Some days when traffic was a struggle getting over the bridge to Bradenton etc, and we did not want to head to Anna Maria Island, we stayed in the back yard oasis and felt just as relaxed. Short drive to park and walk the bridge and boardwalk. One of our neighbors even had a boat docked that is from where we are from. What a small world! I would absolutely book this place again.

This house was amazing. Spotless, and never questioned if anything was clean. Fully stocked with towels, and the kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil you could ever think of. Great location, the town of palmetto is small and quiet. The house is located in a dead end culdesac so not much is going on. Loved that! The back patio was a beautiful private oasis. The pool/hot tub was amazing!!! We spent every day in the pool it was like your own private resort. Very spacious home, and lots of areas for the family to spread out. Loved the idea of all the different areas to eat every meal at from the back patio. To the large farmhouse kitchen table. The screened in porch. Very good location, we took day trips to clearwatch/st Pete which was about 40 mins away. Went to Siesta Key quite a few nights and that was about 30 minutes away. We were very sad to leave this house because it was so beautiful. The landscaping was very well kept, a pool company came to put chemicals in the pool one day. It was very kept place! Glad we found it. We plan to book again!

Sun lounger broke whilst there but was replaced the next day. Although only one lounger so we had to fight over it🤣. Pool cleaner a bit annoying having to be in the pool all the time but got used to it.overall excellent stay and we would definitely return in the future. 5*****

This is a great house and is laid out very well. You feel like you are in your own private paradise with the great landscaping. House if furnished well with kitchen equipment and plenty of towels! We would stay here again if we go back to this area.

The property and lush landscaping is fantastic. It really gives you privacy to make you feel like you are in your own oasis on the canal. We rented a boat one day and it was nice to be able to bring it to the dock to pick up everyone else. A great property overall and I have four properties on VRBO myself. Thanks for the great stay and I highly recommend the house for smaller families. Thanks Alex for the communication as well!

This was our second experience with renting a property with the host Island Dreams. Overall they are excellent to deal with at every stage, from pre rental when we had some things we wanted to change about our bookings, to all the small things that needed attention during our stay. Alex was receptive, quick to respond, accommodating and flexible. Small example: we wanted to leave some food in the fridge prior to the 4 pm check in time, because our other rental was in the neighbourhood, and they responded quickly with an affirmative for us to do so. The house is beautiful, large, spacious. Some of the special features: backyard is a small private oasis, really a private resort, the upper deck and breakfast balcony allowed us to extend our outside time at the beginning and end of each day. Kitchen extremely well stocked, tons of towels. Pool was small i.e you are not going to be swimming laps in it, but the spa was great for early mornings and evenings/nights and the pool is clean, recently refurbished and pool company comes twice a week to clean it. The deck was great for morning yoga! Neighbourhood is quiet, but friendly. You will be driving to all forms of entertainment i.e restaurants, etc. Beaches are minimum 23 km away (so at non busy times, about 1/2 hour drive up to an hour+ at busy times). Small dock you can fish off of (we did not catch anything), but did see manatees swimming by in the morning. If you are an active person, you can bike from the house along multiple long routes, tennis courts close by, areas to run. Highly recommend the property.

The house and tropical pool area was fabulous.
There was a fire across the water one day. I called the manager. Soot and ash blew over to our pool and steps into screened area. We did have to leave because of the smoke and smell. We felt like we waisted a day of our paid stay. Would be nice to get a discount for our lost day.
Alex helped me our 2nd day by phone, we could not get 2 of the TVs to work. There were no instructions on all the remotes. That would have been helpful so he wasn't bothered on the weekend. I appogized to him , he said he was just doing his job and glad to help me. He provided great customer service.
Our only complaint was location. We had difficulty every evening with where to go for dinner. We like eating seafood and eating on the water. None of the was your fault though.
House was decorated so tropical and the outside was perfect.
Would highly recommend to someone who wanted to relax and maybe not eat out so often.
