Roll down your windows and smell the ocean as you enter our neighborhood and get ready to see the most amazing blue skies, white puffy clouds and the sugar-white sand of our Fort Morgan beaches!
When you pull into one of the three bays under the house - you'll immediately see "our beach" , with sawgrass growing on the inviting sand dunes. If you want to run (or wheel) up the outdoor ramp - so you can immediately experience the beach - have at it! That ramp will take you directly to our deck, with picnic table, Adirondack chairs and plenty of beach toys for the young and the young-at-heart!
We know it will be hard to take your eyes off the beach, the gulf and the sky - but while those that drew the short-straws unload the cars - the rest of you can walk on the Sand Dune Walkover (Boardwalk) directly to the beach. Feel free to take our deck chairs with you. Go dip your toes in the water or go all the way in. Skinny-dipping (or Chunky-Dunking) is prohibited - so please take a few minutes to get into your swim suits!
The Great Room at Susan's Sand Castle II is spacious - plenty of room for your family and friends to dine together or hang out, as the designated chefs whip up a meal in the fully-stocked kitchen.
There are two full size refrigerators (one is in the Utility Room); stove, microwave, dishwasher and ice-machine - that makes up to 35 pounds of ice a day. Every small kitchen appliance you could want is also supplied for your convenience. And the cabinets are stocked with everything you need to prepare and serve the food that you bring with you.
No need to fight over who gets the "Best Room" - because they are all "Best Rooms"!
Two King Master Suites, with spacious Bathrooms and whirlpool tubs await you and both have direct access to the beach-side deck. One Master Suite is conveniently located right off the Great Room; and the other Master Suite is upstairs.
Two additional King Bedrooms are also located upstairs and face the beach, with doors accessible to the balcony. One of these King Bedrooms has a private full bathroom and the other is semi-private.
Children are delighted when they see the Bunk Room we've created just for them. It sleeps up to 8 children, with full size mattresses on the top and bottom of two bunk beds.
A Queen-size sleeper sofa, located in the Great Room, allows for additional sleeping. A half-bath is located on the main level, around the corner from the Great Room, for the convenience of all.
Large flat-screen Smart TVs are located in every bedroom as well as the Great Room. Plenty of books and games are provided for after a day in the sun or on those rare rainy days.
Towels, wash cloths, beach towels, linens, pillows and comforters are provided for no additional fee. A stackable washer/dryer are provided in the Utility Room for your convenience.
Feel free to take our deck chairs with you to the beach each day. We just ask that you bring them back each evening, as nesting Sea Turtle Mommas can get tangled up or confused when they come ashore at night. May through August - we have a professionally installed and maintained 10' X 20' Beach Canopy for guests to enjoy while playing on the beach.
May through mid-August, Bookings must be Saturday to Saturday. Thanksgiving and Christmas Weeks have the same Saturday to Saturday Requirements. Other than that, there is a 4 night minimum, with flexibility for days of the week for Check-In.
The home was built in 2015 and was beautifully decorated by Susan herself!
This beach house is perfect for Family Reunions, Vacations with Family/Friends, Corporate Retreats, and more! There is a $1,500.00 surcharge for weddings/events.

We have so many loyal returning guests for all three of our beach houses that our Reservation Calendar fills up quickly for peak times and they often reserve "their week" years in advance , but we love to make new friends and welcome your inquiry. We do our best to respond in under an hour, but because we don't recharge on coffee alone - we do try to sleep at some point, therefore will respond to late night inquiries first thing the next morning.
We are currently accepting reservations through the end of 2021. Rates not yet set for 2022.

House was amazing. Clean and very well kept and maintained. A worker was there making sure the outdoor light was working properly upon arrival. The check in and check out process was very convenient and no issues. The views were absolutely amazing. The house is set up perfect for a family.

You can tell the owners have been at this for a while. They have thought of everything in terms of amenities…attention and anticipation of needs is on full display. The beachfront house is just steps from the water. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot.

Loved almost everything about this house. Only negative would be there are not enough chairs on the deck and they should be taller so you can enjoy the view of the beach without peering through slats. Also the mirror in the upstairs master needs to be bigger, my wife is 5’4” and could not see anything but her eyes!

Wonderful house, easy access to the beach, the sunshade was great. The house was well equipped with what we needed. Was a wonderful vacation, this was our second time in this house and we will definitely be back. Great place for a vacation.

We had everything we needed and I loved how everything was labeled so it made it easier to find things. Having the ice maker and extra fridge was perfect to having enough room to keeping all the drinks cold. The only thing I would recommend which is a personal preference would be to have high top chairs so you could see the beach better from the lower deck and a new grill ! We loved the tent that was set up on the beach and the ice cream truck that came by almost everyday. We would definitely love to visit again.

This beach home was everything we expected and more!! Everything was very clean and kept up nicely! The beds were all extremely comfortable too! There were 8 adults in our group and plenty of space for more! The boardwalk to the beach made it so easy to get our fishing equipment and beach chairs to and from the beach every day. Janie quickly responded to a few questions we had and was very helpful and knowledgeable about this property. Thank you Susan and Jerry for sharing this wonderful home with us! It was truly a little piece of Heaven!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your home the week after Christmas and into the New Year 2023. The house was a perfect fit and had everything we needed. Beach access was perfect. We celebrated the Orange Beach Marlin drop for New Years Eve. We hope to visit again.

Property is in a quiet, peaceful area. Beautiful views of sunrise and sunsets. The house is very roomy, very well stocked, even had plenty of beach toys for kids. We had a sweet note with a few goodies when we arrived, a special touch which shows the property owners care about those who stay in their property. We had a little issue with ac on lower level but someone was sent out within an hour and it was fixed promptly. I would not hesitate to book again.

Beautiful home, very accessible
We came to SSC2 with my parents, grandmother, adult brother, and our three children. The ramps to get inside were perfect for my grandmother and my parents who have some issues climbing stairs. The home was beautiful and just what we expected from the online listing. The semi-permanent tents that are set up for the summer months were perfect. It saved me a ton of time and effort in setting up our tent each day. The chairs on the back deck were so comfortable. The kitchen was really stocked. I had to call the property manager for help with one thing and they were there to fix it within the hour and even brought a new coffee pot because they knew the other large coffee pot needed to be replaced. The ramp to the beach was great, but the end was covered with sand and some sea grass so it was a bit difficult to navigate the very end, but overall having the ramp there was perfect as it allowed all our party to go to the beach easier.
We will be back each year! Thank you so much!

Susan's Sandcastle II
The beach house was spacious and very clean. Dining table allowed our large group of 13 to eat meals together Easy access to the beach. Views from the decks were awesome, and there was plenty of deck seating for all guests. Permanent awning on the beach offered a reprieve from the hot sun and rain. A few minor issues were immediately resolved by the property manager, Janie, and her husband. Communication with Janie prior to our arrival and while we were at the beach house was easy and we received timely responses to all questions and concerns. If we return with our large group for another Gulf Shores stay in the future, we would definitely stay in Susan's Sandcastle II again! Highly recommend!

Excellent Family Property
We had the best time during our stay at this property. The beach was beautiful as was the house. We had plenty of room and the enormous table allowed us to have our meals together sitting down to enjoy conversation and laughter with all. The house was as described down to the detail of the fully equipped kitchen. It had everything you could imagine you would need to cook for our family of 13. It was cool and comfortable our entire stay and we had zero problems or complaints. The reservation and check in process was seamless. Communication was excellent and the tent that was provided was perfect for our family. One of the BEST if not the BEST stays we have ever had!!!!

Wonderful stay
The house is as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Beds are wonderful for a cozy nights sleep. House is well stocked of essentials. Very relaxing to have coffee on upper deck and watch the dolphins in the water. We even managed to get some sun on the top deck. My favorite place to sit and relax. The sand on the beach is so white it shimmers in the sunlight. Only negative is neighbors let their dogs run unleashed on the beach. From terrier size to German shepherds, boxers, labs, and sheep dog size. And then the neighbors are irresponsible when they did not pick up the dog poop from the beach. Even saw one man with golden retriever dig a hole and bury it instead of using the bag in his hand to pick up dog waste. From previous visits we always enjoyed relaxing walks along the waves. Now that is not possible. If ft Morgan has a leash law, it is not enforced and 99% of the folks don’t think it applies to them. We began coming to ft Morgan because we were safe to walk with our dog on the beach and how clean it was. Now is not the case. Too bad because this house is definitely one to come back too yearly.

Best Beach Vacation EVER!!!
This house is so much better than the pictures! Is is beautiful, well stocked and so clean. Location is perfect and the beach was so beautiful. We got to see the Blue Angels fly over several mornings too. Our family had our Christmas there and we loved it so much we will only be staying here in the future.
Also Janie was the best, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She even put up a Christmas tree for us!!

Excellent property
Communication was great, property location was perfect and short walk to beach. Were grateful to have wheelchair ramp for our disabled son. Rooms are comfortable and decor was beachy fun! Thankful for beach loungers to take down to beach and extra toys to play in ocean. Lots of pluses to this house. Would stay again!

Perfect for large family
Our family of 4 couples and 2 children could not have been happier with the large bedrooms and baths, plus the house is directly on the beach and sooooo private! Would gladly stay in this rental again!

Manager and House Itself Are Awesome...Owners Are Not
Janie the property manager is incredible and did all she could to save our disaster of a vacation. House is right on the beach and in great shape. Location is challenging...it's 30 minutes to anything and due to road construction on the only road in and out, it took us over an hour to get to Gulf Shores some days. If you need access to lots of activities, this is not the location for you. Normally we would have just stayed on the beach and not gone into town much. Unfortunately, we had brutal tropical-storm level weather our entire stay. Beaches were inaccessible our entire stay. Yes, our ENTIRE stay! While the owners' certainly cannot control the weather, a refund of one or two nights (out of the 7 paid for) would have been kind and appropriate. We have NEVER left a vacation early until this one. We spent over $6,000 for a nightmare of a trip...couldn't even go on the porch without the 25 mph winds smacking us in the face. Kids were traumatized just attempting to get on the beach. This is VERY unusual for the gulf apparently and I think the owners should acknowledge that this was not simply a day or two of storms. Again, we get that they can't control weather. But, this was not normal "bad" weather and a little kindness in this world sure would have meant a lot to us having spent our vacation budget to sit in a house all week.
So, work with Janie to find a property with understanding owners and I think you'll be happy. *Note that we were offered a discount for a future stay but after driving 10 hrs with toddlers, that's never happening again with the riskiness of weather like we had. All in all a sad week.

Everything was as advert iced . Very easy check in with great instructions on how everything worked
This was the number one item on my wife's bucket list who is in hospice for cancer. The ramp made it very easy to get her down to the beach each day. The living room was excellent for her to view the ocean. All furniture was very comfortable. kitchen was great for groups like ours. Overall could not have been better.

If you want to watch the Blue Angels, dolphins, and enjoy a beautiful beach, this is your place. Susan and her manager are very attentive to your needs. Their special touches are 5 stars worthy! We had a blast and didn’t want to leave.

Great family house
We needed to get away and spend time with our extended family of 6 adults and 4 kids. The setup of the home allowed for both privacy and group fun. The beach access was perfect and it doesn’t get much better than coffee on the second level balcony accessible from 3 rooms. The beach toys, towels, and chairs at the house were perfect allowing us to reduce the amount of packing and purchase usually needed when making this type of trip to the beach. The property manager was extreamly helpful and responsive which ensured we had all we needed for a wonderful stay.

Family vacation
We loved this house for our family vacation! The master bedroom downstairs was perfect for my disabled mom. My 3 year old daughter also loved the bunk bed upstairs. We enjoyed watching the dolphins play everyday. I highly recommend this house!

Beautiful beach home
This home is very welcoming! Plenty of space for a large group. Well-stocked kitchen, with extra fridge & ice maker.
Although this home may not advertise as wheelchair accessible, the ramp up to home easily accommodates wheelchair & they can provide a small ramp to go over threshold. We were able to make this work for our wheelchair bound family member, but would have loved to have grab rails in shower & toilet area. No complaints!
This home is well-designed with places for family to gather or find a nice nook for quiet time. With the attention to detail, it’s obvious that the owners & manager want you to enjoy your time in this beach oasis. Dana’s response time was quick & courteous. We truly enjoyed out time there!

He even caught a hermit crab and tiny little fish. He had a ball. The home is so spacious and well laid out. We were all sad to be leaving and hope to be back soon. Family Vacation
11 of us stayed a week at Susan’s Sand Castle II. The house was very accomidating and had everything we needed while cooking meals. Dana was very responsive with any answers to questions. The house has a very open feel and the covered porches were great! We never once felt crowded here!

Easy to book the house and easy checkout. Great location and wonderful view of the beach. The boardwalk was great for the guest that was in a wheelchair. The house was well equipped and everything we used worked great. The bedrooms were wonderful.

Fantastic Fort Morgan Family Gathering
We’ve been holding an annual family week at the beach for 14 years now, and Susan’s Sand Castle II was as nice as any place we’ve stayed, and better than most. As the family has grown we have needed more and more space, and with FOUR bedrooms with beachfront access, it was perfect. We’ve never stayed anywhere with such easy beach access, or such great views from every bedroom. The home is well-furnished, with all appliances available and working properly. The home stayed cool even on the hottest days, something we’ve had issue with in other rentals.
Basically, you could say Susan’s Sand Castle II was exactly as advertised, which was exactly what we hoped for. We will definitely plan to return,

Large, open and allowed everyone to also have their own personal space with the large bedrooms. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the bunk room 😊. Perfect beach access too!!!

Beautiful home with a wonderful floor plan. Kitchen is fully furnished with every appliance/gadget you could need. Loved that each of us had our own en suite. Would love to come back someday.
