My favorite part is hearing the waves all day and night. Our host is remarkably attentive and communicative. Great space.

Lovely view, quiet & fairly secluded. The sound of waves are calming and a relaxing lullaby at night.

We loved our stay in this quiet and clean condo. We spent countless hours on the terrace, just watching the ocean. Lots of humpback whales, birds, heaven.

Great remote place
Excellent facilities (3 pools, ocean side, walkways, landscapes, WIFI). Great location at the waters edge (beautiful ocean views). The unit was very modern and comfortable. Location is away from town, but easily accessible via taxi or your car.

Close to Paradise
Staying in the Puebla building was awesome. It is a smaller unit than others at Vida del Mar, therefore quieter. Beautiful unit with newer kitchen appliances. The view from the large ground floor deck is magnificent. You can easily get by without a car by calling a cab. Most enjoyable stay.

Manzanillo vacation
Communication with property manager was great. Had a few inconveniences but were taken care of quickly. Make sure you take pesos with you when checking in there is a 50 pesos deposit that I was not aware of.

Amazing views lots of space
This place was amazing. 2 full bathrooms, great sized bedroom, kitchen, living room and the views of the ocean were incredible. The place is about 10 minutes outside of Manzanillo itself. The apartment is on the bottom floor of a building and steps away from the ocean.
The beach is swim at your own risk as it is in open water and not in the two bays that make up Manzanillo. That didn't matter at all, just being able to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and having my morning coffee on the back patio looking at the ocean made it for me.
I will definitely be back my next time to Manzanillo.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks at Vida del Mar and loved it. The view from the patio is magnificent. The sound of waves at night was so peaceful. It is a bit remote and having a car to get around is a good idea. The owner was prompt in answering any of our concerns. The pools and grounds are so well maintained. The staff friendly and accommodating. We always felt safe and definitely would like to have a return visit.

Great space with the ocean out your door
We loved staying at the oceans edge. It was amazing to watch and listen to the sights and sounds. The complex staff was friendly and accommodating. The pools were clean and very well appointed. The apartment was clean with modern appliances. We lacked nothing. It was not far from Manzanillo center by car. The owner was very attentive although not close by helped in every way we asked. A romantic place for sure.

Absolutely terrific!!!
We had a wonderful time staying here and can't wait to return! The views are stunning...truly spectacular and photos can't do them justice. The condo is beautiful, clean and very well equipped. From the moment we inquired about the property, the owner was extremely prompt in responding and helping with anything we needed. In addition, the welcome/information packet provided to us was very well organized and informative. I really can't say enough about it! We look very forward to another visit very soon. Thanks so much!

There is a reason why we keep coming back...
This is probably the apartment in Mexico with the most beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean... It is clean, has everything you need (even air-conditioning!) and Rachael is very helpful in all your needs! Looking forward to going here again soon!

Great View, Increadible Nature Surroundings and Fantastic Pool overlooking the ocean.
The condo is very roomy and has all important amenities. The premises were clean and the two bathrooms are very convenient, wi-fi works very well as does the satellite TV network. TV programs are mainly in spanish although we do get a few films in english with spanish subtitles, also CNN international is in english. We had the priviledge of a long stay (5 weeks) and were totally thrilled by this wonderful complex which is Vida Del Mar. It is similar to a botanical garden with a great variety of trees and plants all around. The 3 pools are all beautiful and in great settings, although the one we preferred was the one overlooking the ocean and is closest to the condo we rented. One of our greatest experience was watching the waves crash into the rocks in front of the condo, just as the picture shows. The location of the complex is however about 25 kilometers from the large grocery stores in Manzanillo, so it is best to rent a car to really enjoy this wonderful resort. There is a restaurant nearby which serves very good food and has reasonable prices: La Boquita situated in Palma Real which is another resort close by. It is in walking distance (about 30 to 40 minutes depending on pace). Of course the site is built on hills and one must expect to climb stairs to go about the resort, although most premises are also accessible with a car and parking spaces are ample. We rented our car for the full duration of our stay including pick-up and drop-off at the airport: the company we rented from is "VASA" and is very reliable. Their pricing is very competitive and includes full insurance on all types of damages. As for cleaning sheets, towels and clothing, you just need to drop them off in the morning at the reception building (at the site entrance) and they charge about 27 pesos per kilo and is ready on the following day. We had about 10 kilos of washing which cost us the equivalent of 15 $ US twice during our 5 week stay. Big jugs of water are also available at reception for 25 pesos each, and we used 2 of them for our entire stay (there is a dispenser in the condo for these large water jugs and the delivery man can install it for you if desired). The owners`s daughter "Rachael" is very nice and speaks English, French and Spanish.

Beautiful place
We were very happy to discover that the pictures reflected the reality . Sometimes what looks like a condo on the beach isn’t. So we were very pleased with our spot over looking the ocean. Plus the grounds, the pools and the beach which is safe for swimming we’re all beautifully kept up. However I’m sad to report that the pebble beach below our room had a lot of plastic trash ie cups bottles bags etc. We picked up over 8 bags of trash and left the beach as it should be, beautiful. It’s a steep walk down and isn’t safe for swimming so I guess the groundskeepers don’t feel a need to maintain it. But it was disappointing to see. However we loved the place and the surrounding community . We will be back !!

Another beautiful oceanfront getaway, listening to the waves and enjoying the cliffside pool. There really is nothing like Vida del Mar and Rachel's place is the best.

World class view - immaculate grounds
My wife and I stayed here for the month of February, 2017 - the view is as shown and the waves breaking on the beach is incredible. We really enjoyed our stay. My review reflects the fact that I am 76 yrs and have a problem walking. Having said that, this complex is built on a series of hills and everything is either up a hill or down a hill on cobblestone roads.
I "assumed" that unit 103 would be a ground floor - unit is built on the side of a hill and it is three flights of stairs to go down to it. The closest swimming pool is approx. 200 yrds away, but again it is up a hill, down a hill and then up another steep hill.
You must have your own cell phone - without one there is no contact with reception office, call taxi, contact friends.
There is no restaurant within reasonable walking distance (mile to 1 1/2 miles)
The owner was very quick to respond to several minor issues when we first arrived - unit is clean and well equipped (washing machine is a dish washer - could not find dishwasher detergent anywhere - even Walmart).
If you want a quiet laid back, friendly location this is it - would recommend it to friends.

Best condo to rent at Vida del Mar
We had a fantastic week at Vida del Mar from December 28, 2016 to January 4, 2017. We have been coming to Vida for several years and this is the best unit we have rented. The view is spectacular and the condo was very well equipped. The air con in the living room and bedroom were great to have, as were the blinds on the patio at the height of the day. The kitchen was very well equipped with lots of pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. We did more cooking here than at other units we have rented as the kitchen was so great to use. The king bed was very comfortable and the futons in the living room were also fine for sleeping. It was nice to have the satellite TV, and the wifi also worked well. The water pressure is great, and there is lots of hot water in the showers. As on every trip to Manzanillo, the weather was perfect every single day. We swam in the pool every day and also snorkelled from the beach.

Fantastic Place
I stayed here for close to 3 weeks by myself and enjoyed every minute of it. The deck is right on the ocean and amazing. The place is large, very clean and well furnished with great appliances that seem brand new. It was more than ample space for me and any guests that stopped by. The view is beautiful and the sound of the ocean is very calming Vida Del Mar has changed a little since I visited last around 20 years ago. The restaurant is closed now and there is nothing that close to the resort in terms of places to eat or shop. I had a wonderful stay but would recommend renting a car if you are staying at Vida Del Mar.

This condo was so great experience, the owner has everything if you want to prepare your own meals. Ocean Front, I enjoyed the ocean, have the windows open and relax with the waves. Its so private with security guard 24hrs and they do not let other people get in the community. Wireless internet, great restaurant close by with great food and great price. I was going to complain about the road but on our way out, they were fixing it, so we got exited to come back to this beautiful and peaceful place! They have a public beach close by where you can go shop for items of the region! This is one of the places where you want to come back over and over!

The appartment is very well situated, well kept, clean and tasteful. The best is the view - right on to the small bay with crashing waves. 3 minutes walk away is the beautiful pool complex, also with lovely views. In terms of logistics the place is easy to find, there is ample parking and communication and coordination with the owner was smooth and fast. This condo makes the perfect getaway spot for a quiet weekend out of season.

The apartment is a wonderful surprise after negotiating a "squirly" road. It is located in a gated community, overlooking the Pacific, set among very well groomed grounds. We found the apartment very well equipped and we particularly loved the Therapedic bed! Another highlight was the nearby L'Recif pool, with its magnificent views from the top of a promontory. The owner gave us all the information about the area, facilities etc. in the information leaflet received prior to our arrival. A most enjoyable visit.
To enjoy the visit to its fullest, a car is almost essential to explore the many restaurants and beaches in Manzanillo. Our favourite is La Boquita, accessed through Club Santiago, where the waves are very gentle, compared to the main Santiago Bay. The Lagoon offers even a more gentle environment, and rental of an enormous umbrella, deck chairs and table allow one to have a picnic lunch or order fresh seafood dishes from the many restaurants that line the beach.
