We absolutely loved to stay at the Log Cabin. It’s the perfect place to be. Waves right in front of the house and the beach almost to ourselves. 7 magic miles beach. The kitchen is very well equipped and the set-up of the house suited our family ideally - including a roofed porch and a grassed patch. Bitsy was always available if we needed her - she’s awesome! If you are looking for a true local house on the North Shore - that’s it!

We felt like we found the cabin of our dreams with this North Shore spot. We heard the waves crashing as we fell asleep, and the rooster crowing to wake us up and we loved every minute of it. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach, cook our own meals and enjoy a laid back time with family. It was perfect- even right down to the entrance (the front door is through the shower!) we loved the outdoor shower and the big deck to sit on, the 100% wood home and outdoor bbq. We would all love to return, and when we left we felt a bit like we were leaving home.

Cute and cozy beach front cabin to comfortably accommodate a family of 6. Close proximity to market and restaurants with beach equipment on site for lounging and kitchen adequate to prepare meals. Host was prompt and attentive. Property was comfortably cool in evenings of late May. Would recommend to family and friends.

If you want something quiet besides the joy of listening to the ocean, you have found your place. You mostly have the entire beach to yourself. Just a short drive away from the downtown area of the North Shore.

My husband 2 sons and girlfriend stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed the location-it is indeed prime ! The charm of the surfers cabin and its quirks all made it more enjoyable.
Central to both east and west, plenty of food options if you plan on eating out (we went to beach house and Halewia Joes) on our two night out otherwise we fully utilized the kitchen full amenities and grill - spending sunsets on the beach outside our door. A five star of its own .....only minor suggestions are the indoor furniture, not comfortable or enough and only a few forks to use but again minor ......thank you for the amazing experience! Our family really enjoyed it!

Bitsy was so polite and communicative. Booking and checking in was a breeze. Her property is incredible. The waves crashing against the shore is like medicine for the soul and my wife and I were able to hear them throughout our stay, drowning out any would be street noise. We saw whales several times off the back porch and rainbows were plentiful almost daily. The magic flows in North Shore and you can feel it in this clean and well maintained cottage with private beachfront access. The back porch is perfectly protected for privacy from the beachgoers. We would love the chance to stay here again if available in the future, thank you so much Bitsy!

What a jewel this cabin was, FANTASTIC location in North Shore, the furniture could definitely need some updating but we spent most of our time adventuring and enjoying the outdoors! Close to so many fun and exciting places. The beach is just steps away this cabin was a relaxing and fantastic place to spend some time on the north shore. Would definitely recommend this Cabin, cute rustic north shore vibe. Give it some new living space furniture and this would be a perfect 10/10. I give it a 7/10 due to needing new outdoor and indoor furnishings other than that this place checks off every other fantastic cabin on beach box.

This is a fantastic property. If you want to have a quiet beachfront home on the north shore at a very reasonable price, this is your place. The property manager was very nice and communicated well. The proximity to the beach with the sound of the crashing waves filling the house made us sleep like we’ve never slept before. Although parking is great and in a private fenced yard, you don’t need a car as Foodland is an easy walk from the house and is a great store. The kitchen was well equipped and we made a full Thanksgiving dinner using mainly the utensils provided. We will definitely be back. Loved this place more than words can express.

Loved our stay at the the log cabin at Log Cabins. The property is quintessentially North Shore. It’s rustic, it’s country and it’s crown jewel — the surf. The home embraces all that and provides the perfect spot to watch the action at Log Cabins and also hasn’t been impacted by the erosion that so many other spots have along the North Shore. This cabin is exactly that, a cabin, it’s rustic and minimally furnished and not a hotel. If you need super modern amenities head up the road to Turtle Bay. But if you want a cool spot on a great surf break with a beautiful view (and a cool outdoor cat — Catus von Maximus) then book away. I can’t wait to stay again

Loved our stay at ''The Shack",
This is a true surf shack , had everything you need to be by the beach. Perfect position on the beach strip.
Simple, comfortable and great old school feel.
Entry to cottage is the funki-est entry ever !! But quite the laugh every time we returned. Could have been a good sliding door lock on the back door so you could have access via the rear.
Great North Shore stay :-)

Great Property
We enjoyed our stay at the Log Cabin very much. We had cooling breezes off the ocean and off the mountain every day to help keep us cook at night. We loved being on the beach and so close to our favorite snorkle/dive spot. There were plenty of towels for the shower and also beach towels for all of us. There were games, puzzles, and books available and the kitchen was stocked with every tool needed to cook dinners/breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

Great Location and Home
We had a fantastic stay! Absolutely recommend this home! The owner was very responsive to all needs. The location is private. We really enjoyed the covered Lani as it rained every day. Steps from the beach that we swam in everyday. Great Home!

Hidden Gem
My family and I have been coming to the North Shore for years and agree this place is the best value we have ever seen.
That said, we are easy going and don’t mind the wear and tear of an old house for the trade off of being directly on the ocean.
Huge fenced in yard for our kids and direct access to the beach made this the best vacation we have spent in years on the North Shore!

Amazing Location
We loved staying in Log Cabins, such a great location and cute home. Was a little old and could be modernised slightly but all in all it was such a great place to stay and we will be back!

Lovely log cabin
We absolutely loved the property. We always stay on the North Shore and always stay right on the beach but this was the best overall beach we have had access to yet. The sand was great, the beach stretched out for hundreds of yards in both directions, the sunsets were spectacular and we could watch surfers and whales in the distance right from the deck. The house is a little dated but served our needs perfectly. As others have mentioned, the entrance in through the shower was a bit odd but we always got a laugh everytime we came back to the house and we will never forget it. We will definitely be back. Mahalo!

Having the beach at your finger tips is great!
The house itself is older but still in decent order. The shower stall definitely needs to be addressed as the tile is falling apart. Many of the light fixtures need bulbs and the ones in bedrooms are falling off the walls. Having the alarm system was nice piece of mind as the door locks did not hold tight. Other than those minor details which did not affect our trip at all, the location is amazing. Drink your cup of coffee every morning on the back deck while watching whales, surfers and big waves. Location to town and shops, food, etc was convenient. I would stay here again. Watch out for the resident chickens, had one come on deck and almost walk into house! Thank you for our stay.

Great location and great view!
We loved our stay at the log cabin and would definitely stay again! Great location on the North Shore, minutes from Pipeline, Banzai Bowl, Food Land and a great food truck pod. I fell asleep every night to the sound of the ocean. The only downside is that we couldn’t swim in the ocean most days because the waves were huge and there were rip tides. The upside to that is it was surf season! We were lucky enough to see the HIC Pro down the street at Sunset Beach, and I’m fairly certain many of those competitors were also surfing in front of the house. The place was very clean and had everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. There is a long board, two body boards and snorkel stuff that sadly we couldn’t use. My only complaint is being woken up by the roosters every morning but I’m fairly certain that’s a problem all over the North Shore. And it would be nice to have an old bike or two for quick trips to Foodland. Thanks for a great stay!!

Great location— Beautiful white sand beach and close to excellent snorkeling
The location of the cabin was perfect for us but we would not recommend it for families with small children. We would be concerned about beach safety for little ones. The waves were too rough even for adults. A steady ocean breeze helped keep the cabin cool for most of the day. It was hot late afternoon/early evening. The waves laid out a steady, relaxing beat that could be heard throughout the cabin. You could also hear roosters and on our first night two crowed back and forth insistently from 1-5am. The other nights they were more reasonable. The cabin itself was a little run down but comfortable. The entry into the shower is a bit awkward but fun. Shark’s Cove is a 12 min walk away. 4 min by car. Three Tables just a little past that. Laniakea and Waimea are close by too. There is a nice bike path along the coast. Sunset Pillbox Hike is close by as is Ted’s Bakery and Foodland. Would we want to return? Absolutely.

Beautiful Location with Local Charm
When I rented this log cabin I was not aware that it was part of Hawaii's surf culture and the beach/surf spot in front of the house is known as Log Cabins. The beach was beautiful and very secluded from the tourist spots. The house was a short walk to pipeline where we watched pro surfers every day. The cabin itself was as pictured, no frills surf cabin perfect for our group. The front door was odd (entering through a shower stall) but it was just a funny detail we got used to and laughed about. Listening to the waves at night was my favorite part and this location and privacy can not be beat. We want to come back next year!
