Just right for what was needed!

Great spot on the island, reasonable, well kept.

Thanks for a great getaway. Perfect for the two of us. Cozy, clean and comfortable.

This was a great affordable option for staying on the island and all we really needed. The discounted golf cart rental rates for guests were great too!

CONS:Bring your own linens, towels, pillows and you don't find out until after you pay and book. Plus, bring your own paper towels and toilet paper. No stove. Sketchy toaster, hotplate and other appliances are piled up underneath the sink. You are required to clean the unit when you leave, at the scrutiny of the next guests to report to owner. Local dogs were off leash in the area, a problem for ours, yet I loved Noodles. Plumbing issues, toiliet squeals when you flush. Incredibly uncomfortable sofa. The grill you see on line is not the grill on site. Instead, a shabby home-made sheet metal unit, not cleaned. Moldy floor in outdoor shower.
Pros: Great airconditioning. Big TV's. Good people watching from the deck. Friendly, convenient on site golf cart rental by Russell, WAY below island prices. Lots of people watching at the trailer park and British Cementary across the street.

Perfect location! Loved the outdoor shower! We had a GREAT time!

Conveniently located to Silver Lake, adequate space for 2 people.

We came for our honeymoon and had an amazing stay at this bungalow

Cabin was clean, cute & cozy. Loved the story of how the owners “discovered” Ocracoke thus the aviation decor! Cabin was located within easy walking of restaurants & shops. We were there for the Portsmouth Homecoming so easy walk to ferry dock. Wonderful stay.

We didn't realize from the website description that we needed to bring everything; towels, linens, blanket with us. It was in the email that told us about check-in but we didn't open that until we were almost there. We were surprised to find no toilet paper and very few paper towels. Instructions said to clean before leaving but almost no cleaning supplies. Doesn't look like they have anyone to check on the cottage, clean it and stock necessities and maybe they just rely on guests to clean after each visit. It could be a very cute place. It just needs someone to make sure it's ready for each guest.

The place doesn’t offer sheets or pillowcases or towels, which is inconvenient cause I’m on the east coast for work and don’t have any to just pack up and bring. Only supplied half a roll of TP and despite wanting me to clean afterwards only provided quarter roll of paper towels. The deck is great for relaxing mornings and evenings, location is near just about everything in town. I’ll have to visit in summer to be able to really enjoy the weather, but even on a day where it poured down rain a good portion of the time it was a good getaway. Good stay overall!

My partner and I returned to Whiskey 95 for the second year in a row. This year was additionally special with us becoming engaged on a walk to the dock from Whiskey 95 the first morning! Whiskey 95 has all the basics you need with an economic value. Location is convenient to walk to many shops and the dock. Cooking supplies are sufficient for dinner night’s in. Our dog especially enjoyed the fenced in deck. We definitely plan to return for stay #3!

We loved being on Ocracoke in early April. The cabin was convenient and the deck was a great place to hang out and breathe the fresh air. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee out there. We were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to see. I would recommend this host.

Absolutely perfect for me and my wifes honeymoon! Will definitely be back!

Took my teenage son for a few days. This small cottage was the perfect place for us. Comfy bed, great porch, easy pullout futon that equals a full size bed, plenty of options on the TVs for the rainy day, and ease of renting a golf cart when we arrived (and cheaper than the local golf cart rental companies). Didn’t mind bringing our own sheets and towels and cleaning up before we left. Vacuum and broom available there, but limited other cleaning supplies. No full kitchen, but large mini fridge, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, keurig, and hot plate with a pot and pan of you wanted to cook.
Don’t expect new and perfect, but it was perfect for us, very clean and super convenient all around! Owner was easy to contact when I had questions. Would definitely recommend!

Tiny but nice

Perfect for just me and my dog. Was delightfully surprised how close everything really was. I wil have to come back when everything is more in season.

Clean, good price and location. Extremely limited if u want to cook. No stove or kitchen sink (there is a sink but nothing to catch debris if u wash plates etc so you need to be very careful. Small fridge and microwave all.

House was easy to find. Perfect size for one or two persons and the fenced porch for dogs was great.

This is exactly what you would expect from a tiny Beach cottage. It has all the basics you need but no kitchen don't expect to cook any meals here. There's a microwave for heating up your delicious leftovers and a toaster oven. The K-Cup machine is perfect for your coffee everyday on the deck. Less than two blocks from the Waterfront a beautiful walk to everything you need right here. Little piece of paradise. Just hated to leave but we will be back!

This was a cute place. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We will stay again and recommend this tiny house.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on cleanliness, is that it could use a little updating and lack of cleaning supplies. We had a swifter to use to clean but couldn’t find any wipes to use. If there was a mop present, we would have mopped the floors before leaving. We tried to clean and leave it better than before.
The guest book was full so we couldn’t sign, but we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing you little slice of heaven. ❤️

Wanted a quick getaway with a low key vibe and this place was perfect!!! The on site golf cart rental option is brilliant. Kudos! Thanks for sharing your spot!

Charming cottage, quiet spot, convenient to shops and town. Excellent communication with owner, highly recommended rental.

While this property is in a great location, it is not cleaned regularly and allows pets, so there was hair everywhere. The toilet doesn’t work well and the water is connected to the shower drain so it really stinks when flushed. There are no sheets or towels and we weren’t informed of this until the day of travel when it was too late for us to bring our own.
Cute little place, but lacking a lot of conveniences and cleanliness.

Second time staying ….perfect for my dog and I. Would be helpful to have several glasses and 1 or 2 wine glasses there.

We enjoyed our stay on the Island! The cottage was clean and in a great location. Away from the main drag, but yet close enough to stores, restaurants and the beach. Wonderful people! Thanks again for sharing your home with us!! 🐶+Sam and Lynn

Nice cozy place for our first time staying on Ocracoke island, it was exactly what was expected - clean, AC worked great, good water pressure and very comfortable bed! Having the outdoor shower was great after a beach day. Location was fantastic, 2-3min walk to the tram stop but I recommend renting a golf cart, it was so much fun to explore the island with (recommended cart rental info is inside, it was very convenient, it was dropped off to us). My husband and I (and doggo) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here!

We love staying in this area, and this cozy cottage was perfect for my husband and I. We arrived the day after the hurricane but had no issues. The owner is super responsive and we had no complaints.
Others complained about the cleanliness in some of the reviews, but I think that is because the previous visitors didn't do a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. I like to think we left it cleaner than when we checked in.
Would definitely stay here again.

Cute little house perfect for 1 or 2 couples. Exactly what we needed. Right up the street from restaurants and ice cream/coffee shops. Would stay at the same place again.
4.7
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it!! The location and amenities were perfect. Would not change a thing. Our visit was cut short due to the ferry was not running on Thursday (check out day) because of the approaching hurricane . Of course this is not the fault of owners, we were just disappointed we had to leave early. We will be back!
4.7
Cute little place with what we needed… a place to lay our heads and shower and chill after a Long Beach day. Golf cart was great to Cruze around on (rented) , place was close to everything and was very peaceful. I definitely would come back! The owners little story of how they landed the house was very neat and just to learn a little about them also. Needs a new autograph book to sign though…… we didn’t want to sign over top of anyone. Excellent place!

great location! dog friendly!

Great location, within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping and attractions. The outdoor shower was an absolute plus when trying to get 4 people out the door at once. The true feel of the outer banks. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were grateful to find accommodations at the last minute, which also was pet friendly. Thank you!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at Whiskey 95. Perfect for couples and small families like ours (2 little kids). We really enjoyed the space and location to the local restaurants. Even the neighbors were very welcoming each morning and afternoon that we relaxed on the porch. Outdoor shower was a huge hit for me. Would recommend again on our next trip to Ocracoke!

The house was OK, it is in need of some TLC. Cobwebs inside, birds living in the eaves of the roof. It is missing pickets on the porch and several deck boards are loose and rotting. Bed was comfortable and the location was nice.

My family has stayed here the last 3 years & this year will most definitely be the last. There were cleanliness issues the 1st year but we assumed it was negligence on the part of the visitors before us, since this “cottage” is not professionally cleaned between guests. Last year I brought several issues to the attention of the owner— specifically a lack of cleanliness. The pull out sofa bed had been urinated on by dogs and smelled horrible, as well as the living room rug. The place was not cleaned (spider webs in corners of rooms, dead bugs on walls, bedroom floor was dirty, bathroom sink and mirror had not even been wiped down, skid marks in toilet). The owner said his family were the last ones to stay there and he didn’t notice any of these things. However, he told us he would address the issues and we decided to give Whisky 95 one more go. As soon as we walked in this past week, the ammonia stench hit us like a ton of bricks. The couch and rug were unbearable. We put towels down to cover the rug just so my children wouldn’t have to walk on it and we covered the couch with two sets of sheets. The bedroom pillows and comforter have probably not been washed once since our first trip in 2021–they are dingy and smell musty. Thankfully we brought all of our own bedding and pillows. The spider webs and dead bugs were still on the walls. I went to clean and there was only furniture polish and windex in the cabinet. It’s a disgrace and the owner doesn’t seem to care.

Me and my boyfriend came for a short 3 night stay and it was the perfect size for the 2 of us! Definitely a great location and the perfect little cottage! Great A/C system for those that like to sleep with it cooler. We will definitely be back!

This is a cute & quaint place to relax at the end of beach days 💙

We loved staying at Whiskey 95! It was the perfect little place for us to get away from everything! It was just far away from the hustle and bustle of the main road and still close enough we could go wherever we wanted in a short time. The golf cart rental access was brilliant and super easy to do as well! Thanks for a great time and we will definitely be back!

Right in heart of city. Walking distance to everything. Great deck to chill on. Wonderful neighborhood.
