About this cabin rental
Summary:
Part of The Elsewhere Collection, our rustic log cabin is a restored 100-year old space sitting on peaceful Miner Lake. With room to sleep up to 4-6 adults, the cabin is ideal for a cozy getaway. The cabin features an equipped kitchen, two TVs, WIFI and a window AC unit in the main bedroom. The bathroom has all of the essentials for washing off a day on the lake. Steps from the cabin is a wooden deck, outdoor furniture & two docks with direct access to the lake.
The Space:
1 bedroom with a queen bed
1 sleeping porch with a queen bed and two twin daybeds that double as seating
1 loft with full bed (gets quite toasty up there in the summer)
Access to a deck and a yard with a fire pit
Access to two docks
Other Things to Note:
THE WATER: The cabin utilizes well water, so we supply Culligan water for drinking and cooking. Due to the iron content in the well, the shower, faucet and toilet water can turn an orange hue (we promise they’ve been cleaned & scrubbed :) ). We recommend running the water before use and holding down the toilet handle for a little bit when flushing.
TVs: these are just for movies or streaming with Google Chromecast, no cable.
COVID-19: In light of the COVID-19 outbreaks & local orders, we will continue to monitor the restrictions and guidelines in our area & follow recommendations from the CDC, Airbnb and local authorities. This includes recommendations for refunds & cancellations should bookings fall under restrictions leading up to the time of check in. We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund stays to ensure the safety of our staff and community. We are happy to help you reschedule your stay for a later date if needed. We are also taking exceptional care in the cleaning and sanitization of our homes - this includes implementing a 24-hour block before and after each stay to allow for proper ventilation.

The online advertisement does no justice to this hidden gem. It is like living in the nineteen fifties with modern amenities. Be Comfortable with some oddities related to the cabin's age. It didn't bother us at all.

We had a great stay on Miner Lake. The lake is a “no wake” lake and we swam and fished right off the pier. Unlike many cabins this place has a side yard and felt private. We also enjoyed our time around the fire pit at night. There is a short walk to a playground, popular restaurant and an Icecream shop. We had a great time!

Wonderful long weekend spent with family in a perfect cabin on the lake! The bed was comfortable, the lounge chairs overlooking the quiet lake were perfect, the fire pit a little ways away from the cabin!! Host thought of everything! We didn’t even venture off the property much! We definitely want to return.

Our adult children and their significant others came and met us at the log cabin. We brought our boat and paddle boards! We love the location and the house was so cool! Decorated very nicely and had what we needed. Also, great help from the property owners when we had a slight issue! We can’t wait to come back!

Charming Cabin on Chain of Lakes
This cabin is was very charming. Furnishings and decor were great. I was amazed by all the really authentic items, was fun just looking at all the items, seemed to discover something new each day. The location is great as far as access to the area. We traveled with our pups so the proximity to the road was less than desirable but October the traffic was minimal. We also rented a pontoon but got stuck as they dock is surrounded by very thick weeds had to get a new boat as the first one got stuck and jammed up the motor. Again overall I gave high marks with the exception of cleanliness, there were cobwebs all over and my socks got super dirty, it is a rustic cabin so not overly surprised just being transparent; cobwebs can be knocked down and socks can be washed. The property manager was fantastic as well, great communicator and very friendly. Compared to other listings on the Chain I felt the price was a bit high especially for that time of year. We would consider this location again in the future.

Cute cabin
The cabin was very cute. We loved the interior design. It was great to sit on the deck in the evenings and enjoy the view of the lake. The loft was not big enough for adults to sleep in which was a disappointment. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very communicative and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants.

Family Vacation 2021
Property was lovely. Location was great. Not great swimming, but that didn’t bother us because we boated to my families home across the lake. Beds were very comfy and plenty of fans helped with the un seasonally warm nights. The fire pit was fun for us and the out door area wA very nice. We would definitely stay again.

The perfect rustic cabin!
This cabin was so charming, and decorated in such an appealing way... you can't help but feel cozy and at home right away. Comfy bed, strong wifi, great views, and convenient location. Hosts were very helpful and easy to communicate with when we had questions. We will be back!

Quaint historic cabin
Lovely old cabin - beautiful and quaint fixtures and decorations which fit the feel and look of the cabin. We used it as a work spillover cabin for our family get together as we own a cabin about a 5 minute walk away. Good internet . Could not find a can opener coffee filters and only one dish towel for drying dishes. We did not swim, fish off the dock or use the canoe. Very peaceful lake - would highly recommend.

Quaint Rustic Cabin with Pizzaz
The cabin is exactly as described! Great attention to detail was taken in every little nuanced piece of decor in the cabin. The kitchen has ample cooking utensils and space, perhaps could use a larger baking sheet. The beds are INCREDIBLY conformable!
The lake really is right there! We rented two kayaks and a paddle board from nearby Loon and it was ideal! Much time was spent out on the water.
The only downside to this listing is literally its neighbors. Our stay was over Labor Day weekend so this may have skewed reality a bit. Several neighbors to the east of the cabin were rowdy. This cabin is perfect for those with a more cosmopolitan bent, just be aware that you are traveling into a very politically conservative area. No one was wearing masks and the statewide mask mandate was not being enforced. In anticipation of this we brought all of our supplies so that we could limit trips into town. We are SO glad that we did.

Waupaca Lake Cabin
The view of the lake was beautiful. The cabin was comfortable and we had ample space to be able to relax during our stay.
Fortunately the weather was sunshine for the entire time, so we had the chance to enjoy a pontoon ride one afternoon. The location to resturants, grocery stores, and other shopping was very convenient. We enjoyed our time and recommend it to anyone who loves being by a beautiful lake.

Quaint rustic cabin
This cozy old log cabin was the perfect location for my family to enjoy a week long get away. The cottage is cozy but so functional. All the space we needed for 6 of us. We enjoyed coffee on the deck just outside the screened in porch that could not get closer to the lake. Although there is not a walk in beach we did rent kayaks, SUP and a float for the week in addition to using the owners canoe. The interior is decorated to accent the old charm of the cabin. All bedding was comfortable and space was very usable. Close to local restaurants and a bait and convenience store just down the road. The owner was easy to work with and responded to every question and request in a quick manner. We will definitely return!

Fell in love with this cabin!
We loved staying right on the water in this charming 100 year old cabin - the lake is 5 feet from the front bedroom/sleeping porch, so kids were out fishing first thing every morning. Nice combination of old and updated with nice bedding, warm, homey touches.
