This cabin is just what me and my friends were looking for. The cabin was beautiful with an even better view. The hosts were very hospitable and offered recommendations for food, drinks, and activities. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and the check-in/out process was seamless. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this cabin to anyone.

We enjoyed a 3-week Aug. stay, seeking cooler weather than back home in SC - mission accomplished! Location has a great combo of quiet privacy in the mountains with being so convenient to the Blue Ridge Pkwy., downtown and local sights, highways to take us further afield, and grocery stores. A couple of friends visited for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Owner was fabulous to communicate with and anxious to help correct a couple of small problems, quickly resolved. We chose not to use the charcoal grill (personal preference of a gas grill). Kitchen was adequate for breakfasts and simple dinners, but who wants to cook on vacation anyway? Lovely view from the deck.

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to the mountains of Asheville for a break from the Florida heat in July. The house was perfect for our family vacation, well appointed with everything that we needed. The patio with rocking chairs, and picnic table had amazing views and is just as pictured. Over a week’s time, in the neighborhood area, we saw 5 bears including 3 adorable cubs! They did not bother us at all and ran away when they saw us. The house is at a great location. Super close to grocery stores, the Blue Ridge Parkway, restaurants and 10 minutes to downtown Asheville. We had a few questions for Steve who very helpful and responded quickly to our text messages. We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Great location near the Folk Art Center. Just 10 -12 minutes drive or Uber from downtown Asheville with scenic views and the privacy that seems as though you’re far out in the countryside. Immaculate, and well appointed, with wooded mountain views from the expansive back porch. A truly relaxing and comfortable place.

The owner was very easy to communicate with, and the property was just as described. We had a short stay with our children. It was nice and quiet, and we enjoyed the quick drive to get downtown and to activities we had planned. We took a hike at the NC Arboretum, and we took our kids to the WNC Nature Center. We also enjoyed some games at the Asheville Pinball Museum and walked around downtown before grabbing dinner at Buxton Barbecue. Thanks Steve!

One of the best weeks of vacation we've ever spent, thanks to an absolutely remarkable view of the mountains at all times. If you're looking for a place to stay for 2-6 people and your goal is a cozy private retreat to hang out on a porch and admire the landscape, you can't find a better place in or around Asheville. Truly exceptional, and about 15 minutes from the heart of the city if you want to grab a meal in town.
We'll be back!

Myself and some girlfriends just finished up a bachelorette trip staying at this absolutely beautiful property, and I cannot recommend it enough! The property was extremely clean, spacious, and the views were beautiful. The location was also awesome to get to downtown, but so nice and quiet to escape to! Definitely would recommend!

It's always a relief when the property is exactly what was portrayed in the listing. No surprises.
There is a trade-off with the location. Certainly, there is a calm, "away from it all" feeling without being too far from anything. But it does lead to a considerable amount of driving.

Exceeded expectations on all measures! Steve was a great host and the neighbors are warm and welcoming. Well equipped kitchen that handled all our Thanksgiving prep, cooking, and storage needs. Layout and speciousness of the property was perfect for our multigenerational family vacation. Lots of space for all to gather with cozy nooks to rest and recharge, while taking in the views. Several hiking options without having to load everyone up and only 12 minutes to downtown for a date night sans kids and grandparents! Oh and the board games and sweet library, just bring the whole family and enjoy. Be ready to make plenty of s’mores and memories!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this vrbo! The house was located close to downtown and all of the places we wanted to visit while in Asheville. The first day driving in we saw three black bear on the drive up duckers view and it was awesome! We enjoyed the fire outside and the beautiful morning views from the back porch. The home was so quiet and peaceful, had all the accommodations you would need as a traveling guest and plenty of seating and beds. It was such a lovely stay. Thank you Steve and Louise and we hope to be back one day!

This was a lovely house in a beautiful location. When they say they have provided everything they can, they are right. Great fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed. A marvelous back porch with lots of seating and an incredible view. We hung out at the house more than we went anywhere. We also had a cool surprise - a black bear padding around in the woods. It had a tracking collar on so apparently some agency is tracking it. We certainly didn't approach it, but we stood on the front stoop and watched it. It was totally unconcerned with our presence. So glad we discovered this place!

The property was so clean and accommodating. Our group was four adults (a couple and two singles) and all were very comfortable. The home setting was beautifully set in the hills outside Asheville. Close enough to get into town but felt like a mountain getaway too. Highly recommend and hosts were excellent with communicating and very welcoming. 5 stars!!

Perfect Cabin For Family Fun
This cabin is just as perfect as it looks in the photos. It was very clean and in order. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make some simple meals while we were vacationing. My 18 and 19 year old sons loved the upstairs bedrooms. They were huge with plenty of room if more people were staying. Plenty of wood for the fire pit was available. We used it several times and enjoyed that outdoor space. The porch was amazing at sunrise. All of this is located perfectly within minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is also within an hour of awesome hiking destinations such as Max Patch, Craggy Pinnacle, Mt. Mitchell, Looking Glass Falls and Chimney Rocks State Park! We did it all and loved coming home to spend family time at the cabin! Highly recommend!

What gorgeous views, beautiful property, and sweet owners. 4 of us on a girl's trip and this property was perfect! We started our days rocking on the deck with coffee and energy them there drinking wine. The wildlife is amazing and the scenery peaceful. Super close to downtown fun too. I want to buy this place! Adventures Abound
Our family had a wonderful time at Steve and Louises’s cabin. The quick and personable responses to questions as well as the fresh eggs upon arrival were truly appreciated. The cabin is in a perfect location. You can be downtown in 10 minutes and there is a grocery store on the way in and out, which is very convenient. At the same time, it is secluded and perfect for privacy with beautiful views and easy access to hiking the Blue Ridge. We even saw a bear! I would not hesitate to recommend this cabin and we will probably return in the future.

Simply, Beautiful Mountain Retreat
Our family of 5, including three generations, had a wonderful stay. This mountain home exceeded our expectations.
The home was very clean, had everything we needed for our stay and was as pictured/described in the rental listing.
The highlight of this property is its gorgeous views, location and welcoming owners. Steve and Louise are kind, hospitable hosts. Their farm fresh eggs were a thoughtful and delicious addition to our stay!
The home is tucked away surrounded by trees and mountains. It’s a 360 experience in nature with the mountain view changing in personality each day from sunrise to sunset. The location made it feel private and a wonderful escape from our daily activities at The Biltmore, Historic Biltmore Village, Downtown Asheville, The Folk Center, NC Arboretum, Blue Ridge Mountains, Catawba Falls, Mount Pisgah, Pisgah National Forest and Looking Glass Falls. The house location had easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and main roads to local sights & our planned “day trips”.
This simple, beautiful mountain home was a great choice for our week exploring all that Asheville has to offer! When you stay at this mountain retreat, make time to sit on the porch in the unique rocking chairs and take in the sweeping view & sounds of the mountains.
Thank you, Steve and Louise, for a memorable visit.

Asheville Joy
Steve reached out to us on our drive and, upon hearing we wouldn't be in until late, went over and turned the lights on. This is the kind of thoughtfulness we found throughout our stay. The house was immaculate and beautiful. (And my family has insane cleanliness standards.) Watching the sunrise on the back porch made me want to get up early each day. This is a fantastic home and surroundings close to Asheville. We loved every moment of our stay here.

Beautiful Mountain Home
This was a wonderful property for our family spring break. The location was great! Easy drive to the house, and easy to get to Asheville. This house was very clean, updated, no clutter, yet everything needed was provided. Very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace, sitting outside on the patio, cooking meals in the kitchen. A huge bonus was the communication with the owners. They were prompt with check in information and called to make sure everything was good after we arrived. We will definitely be back!!

First time in Asheville
This was wonderful location for our family trip to Asheville. The house was beautiful and no detail was overlooked. The property was in the perfect location to downtown Asheville and surrounding areas. The owners were very attentive to text messages looking for recommendations on restaurants. Their suggestions for BBQ did not disappoint. If we find ourselves back in Asheville we would love to stay here again.

Charming home in the hills
We booked this property last minute for a few nights and were so glad we did. Steve and Louise were gracious enough to accept our last minute booking and the house was perfect. House is exactly as pictured; super comfortable and in a lovely, quiet location just outside of town which we preferred. Everything we needed for a quick getaway as a family. Kitchen was nicely stocked, and the wood burning fire that was ready to go made for such a relaxing evening on a cold and rainy night. The fresh eggs were such a lovely touch as well. Thank you Steve and Louise for opening up your beautiful home to us.

Girls Trip
I can't say enough how wonderful our host Steve was. Not only did they have fresh eggs in the refrigerator they had the fire ready for us to just light. It so happened we were lucky enough to have a beautiful snowy visit with that Steve called to check on us and say not to drive our rental car the roads were too icy but he came in his truck and picked 2 of us up to go to the grocery store which was above and beyond. He put salt down for us and shoveled the driveway. 10 out of 10 🌟!
We hope to go back for another stay!
Sincerely,
Williams Family
