Whether you bring your boat to enjoy water sports, use the house as a base to explore the High Country or just throw a stick for your dog, Pete's Hideaway promises a great holiday for the entire family.
The house is a fully renovated, comfortably modern holiday home situated directly on the shore of Lake Eildon. The large, elevated veranda offers stunning views of the lake and the iconic Bonnie Doon bridge and invites to relax, enjoy al fresco dining and watch the boats go by. A private twin berth jetty is available for mooring boats and jet skis during summer (depending on water levels)
The lake invites you to enjoy all kinds of water sports ranging from boating, jet-skiing and canoeing to swimming and taking leisurely walks along the shore. Ride your bicycle along the 'Great Victorian Rail Trail', explore the Strathbogie Ranges on foot or motorbike and in winter, drive up to Mt.Buller to hit the snow slopes.
If you are in need of rest and relaxation, just stay in the fully climatised home, choose a book from the extensive library, cook up a storm in the very well-equipped kitchen and stay in bed until noon in the super comfy beds.
The home is fitted with reverse-cycled ducted air-conditioning for comfortable temperatures in any season.
The kitchen is well equipped with a five-burner gas stove, an electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge and an extensive array of cooking utensils.
The master bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has its own small deck facing the lake; perfect to enjoy a quiet drink away from the kids. Of course, there is an ensuite with shower and toilet
Bedrooms two and three contain double beds with queen-size doonas.
Bedroom four potentially sleeps six people as it comprises two double beds as well as two elevated single beds.
All bedrooms offer storage for your clothes and personal items.
A stylish big bathroom and a separate toilet complete the interior of the house
A modern laundry with washer and dryer as well as a toilet is located underneath the house.
Parking your car, boat and trailer is no problem as there is plenty of space available.

Just where you want to be on the lake “front and centre” couldn’t get better if you tried❤️ great for watching all the action on the lake and easy access to launch your boat and keep it out the front where you can see it … amazing , comfortable , clean , huge fire pit and plenty of entertaining areas. Great for the dog and accommodating , but not a fenced yard, but balcony is secure . New laundry facilities , kitchen in the summer would be amazing with all the bifold windows and doors . I absolutely loved this property and everything it has to offer , the Host Ryan is so helpful and a phone call away if you need assistance. Can’t go wrong with this property .

I cannot speak highly enough about this accommodation! My friend and I had a truly restorative long weekend away thanks to the stunning view, the fully equipped house and the wonderful hospitality. Beautiful property right on the lake and beautiful views, fishing was great and Ryan even took us out on his speedboat. We have stayed in a fair few holiday rentals and this one is the best one yet. The host Ryan was very accomodating and the neighbours where very friendly as well.

Our family and Labrador thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well appointed and beautifully decorated with excellent climate control. The view of the lake from the back deck was breathtaking. We were able to easily launch our boat from the property and enjoy watersport activities.

A group of 5 girls ( over the age of 60) went to stay at this fabulous house on the shores of the lake. There was plenty of space for us all, and we loved spending time on the deck, watching the bird life, and enjoying the serenity. Highly recommend staying here!

The property is in the best location, right on the water. We visited the week before Xmas and we were lucky the weather was amazing and not many people on the water. It’s a perfectly decorated housethat feels like a home away from home. The decking area is incredible and a fantastic place to chill out when not on the water. The owner was really helpful and approachable. We had a really fabulous trip and can’t wait to visit again soon. 🤞

This property was just what we needed. Right on Lake Eildon with gorgeous views. Anna, Ryan and Pete were very accommodating and relaxed hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We felt very welcome. The home, furniture, beds were very comfortable and clean. The kids and dog loved the whole experience and we all wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back!

Pete's Hideaway was the perfect place for our extended family of eight to get away for the long weekend. The views from both inside and from the deck overlooking lake eildon were sensational. The Kitchen/living room was very comfortable and inviting. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also of a high standard. Ryan was most accomodating, helpful and very easy to deal with. Overall we all were VERY happy with our stay. Keep up the good work.

Petes place is in a great position on Eildon at Bonnie Doon. The views are lovely especially from the deck overlooking the water. Comfortable beds & ample beds for a large family or group. Surprisingly no laundry facilities! Nice & peaceful on a sparkling winters weekend. Good access for warmer months if you want to use the lake.

Honestly can’t fault our stay. I stayed here with a group of friends for a trip to the snow but it would also be so nice during summer. The location is stunning with the view over the lake, the house itself is really well set up especially for large groups, and super clean. Wish we could have stayed longer to make the most of the accommodation. Would definitely come back

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is beautiful and in such a beautiful setting with the lake at your back door. We had our doggies with us and it was perfect for walks, the house has an amazing setup with the back deck, we spent a lot of time out there. Fabulous stay with my adult children, their partners and our dogs for my Birthday and Mother’s Day. The house was located in a serene position on the lake, with every amenity you would hope for. We spent a few afternoons on the deck, enjoying the view on the lounge and fantastic outdoor setup. Anna was delightful and easy to communicate with. Hopefully we can come back soon!

The owners firstly were so lovely, great communication and happy to help. The place is gorgeous, renovated really well and decorated to make it homely but quite classy. The view is awesome, a lovely quiet spot to refresh, and close to town for cafes and supermarkets.
