This was our last stay in New Zealand and was by far the best, the most gorgeous home! We had everything we could need and then some. Sue and Ed were great hosts and we enjoyed our many conversations. The location was lovely, just what we needed to relax and unwind after a month of travel.

Lovely house, interestingly decorated and designed. Very comfortable beds and very well equipped.
Owners live below. Keeping young children quiet for the owners sake was important. Little outside
space but lovely swimming beaches within walking distance.

We can not say enough great things about the hosts and the house! The pictures are accurate but even better in person! Super clean, comfortable beds, kitchen well appointed, and huge deck to grill and enjoy the beautiful NZ sunsets. Walk to the beach, or cafes in Manly Beach. If we are lucky enough to come back to this amazing country we will stay here! Thanks for everything!

Wonderful property, awesome location and super host
We have stayed at this property before, so that says it all. Its a wonderful location and the property is ideal for families like ours. The host is kind and friendly and leaves so many little touches to makes the guests stay perfect. If they will have us, we will be back for sure.

Excellent hosts. Nice location with fantastic vjiews.
Ed and Sue are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Their house is spacious and well furnished. The views from the deck and windows around are fantastic. There is ample parking. The immediate surroundings are quite hilly, needs some energy to walk to and from the nearby beach.
Due to a delay checking out from the Covid isolation facilities the family could not occupy the rental property on March 07 as booked but one day later, on March 08. We have requested a one day refund from the rental cost which has so far not been remitted.

Great location, super well appointed. Perfect for families with small children.
Ed and Sue were lovely hosts. Had everything we needed and much more. Would be a great place for an extended stay. Easy walk to Manly Beach. Would have loved screens on the windows (the mosquitoes love me) but they don't seem to be commonplace in NZ.

Spacious, light filled home with beautiful views
We stayed over the New Years period 2018/2019. There were 6 adults, a preschooler and a baby and the house was big enough to accommodate all of us. All the necessary equipment needed to sleep, seat and feed the number of guests was present with each room decorated with creative flair. Loved all the home made knitted blankets, making the house feel friendly and welcoming. The master bedroom is great for families as had the main double bed, a little nook with a single for our preschooler and more than enough space for the portacot (which they provided). Only thing to note is the master bedroom is quite light still in summer so consider bringing blackout for the portocot if your little one struggles to sleep in lighter rooms. Alternatively situate portacot in the very big and darker walk in wardrobe which is also in the master bedroom. Ed and Sue live downstairs and are great hosts leaving you to enjoy your holiday but present if anything is required.
Very enjoyable stay by all and our preschooler keeps asking to go back to the holiday house!

We had really great days at Ed‘s and Sue‘s house. For us it was simply perfect. Great hosts!
When one looks out for a place that can be both a perfect starting point for trips around northland and a lovely place close to a nice beach with great views - well, then that‘s THE place. The house is just 150 meters away from a lovely, calm beach. And the morning starts with a great view over the bay. It is exactly how the pictures discribe it - and even better! Ed and Sue are lovely hosts. We spent our Christmas in their house. And they were so kind to leave presents for us. Especially for Germans one of the highest signs of hospitality. We stood for six days and easily could have spent more time. The whole architecture and interior is very generous, with a lots of light and plenty of space for everyone. All in all: a lovely place for everyone who arrives from a world trip and needs a great place to experience NZ.

Immaculate house, great location, incredible views!
The house was spacious, quiet, and very clean. Pictures don't do it justice. Sue has done an amazing job decorating - we loved all the artwork and cozy throws! Sue and Eddie were the most gracious hosts during our stay. My family of four spent a week during the winter and found that the house could easily have accommodated more people. We used the kitchen primarily for coffee and breakfast, but along with the outdoor grill it was ready for all sorts of cooking adventures. The location was perfect; it was the highest point in the area for spectacular views, but still an easy walk down to two pristine beaches (Manly or Tindalls). We particularly enjoyed being able to walk for dinner and drinks at the Manly Bar & Grill. The ferry to Auckland (and Tiritiri Matangi Island) was just a short drive and much easier than trying to drive into the city, especially for someone from Boston used to driving on the right! There’s also a lovely park for day hikes a few km past the ferry – we honestly felt like we never needed to leave Whangaparaoa. Winter was great, BTW (nice weather, no crowds). Highly recommended.

This home was wonderful.
This home was wonderful. My husband and I stayed there with another couple for 3 nights. It was very comfortable, with all your needs met. Sue and Ed manage the property and live onsite. We traveled from the US and arrived at the home at 11am. We were grateful that we were able to come right in and get settled. There were basics like milk and coffee already in the kitchen. Sue even left us a welcome basket of local gifts. I can’t recommend this home more and when my husband and I go back to Auckland we will be sure to stay with Sue and Ed.

A aliile bit of KIWI Heaven
The home was exactly as stated and shown in the descriptions. Everything was very nice, well maintained and of a high standard you would expect from a good hotel. Views of the bay and the beach were from almost every location in the home. Ed and Sue were there for consultation or clarification 24/7 making things easy for new visitors to New Zealand. Loved the towel warmers, heated floors in bathrooms and large picture windows in the Master bedroom and the lower living room. We never used the AC as the breezes were wonderful and we just kept the vents open day and night sleeping in comfort at night.

The house was more beautiful than the pictures showed. The pictures were beautiful too. Ed and Sue were the Most gracious hosts. Very sweet nice people. Our gift basket from them was yummy. Awesome stay with amazing views and Ed and Sue go out of their way to make your stay perfect!
The photos on the website do not do justice to what the house really looks like.. utterly perfect, so comfortable, clean and a home away from home. Sue has hand knitted throws which are available in every room, making our stay feel homely, comfortable and warm. The welcoming gifts and groceries were unexpected but so nice and touching. Ed and Sue went out of their way to make us comfortable and settled, I would highly recommend this beautiful place, set in a wonderful location, who is looking to come to this area in New Zealand.

Everything was sensational, the house, the location, the comfort, the warmth of the hosts. Sensational. Could not be better. We have stayed in several houses in many countries, but this was undoubtedly the best.

Beautiful home with an amazing view! Well-equipped for all our needs! Property manager was fabulous!
Home exceeded our expectations and was perfect for 3 adult couples! The home was clean & so well-equipped for all our needs. The property manager was so kind in preparing a yummy hospitality basket for us filled with lots of foods of New Zealand! The bathrooms had a basket as well with toiletries in case we forgot anything. We will definitely consider returning again! Thanks Sue!

The Absolute Best House to Ever Stay at
The house was absolutely marvelous. All of the appliances were updated and the color schemes throughout the entire house was extremely beautiful, giving off a calm, elegant yet cozy vibe. The house was ocean front property that was also part of a whale sanctuary so you can see where the whales are from the house. There was limited light pollution in the surrounding neighborhood, so much so as you can see millions of stars and thousands of constellations. When it comes to the hospitality the hosts go above and beyond any expectations possibly imaginable. Upon arrival the hosts give us all heart warming hugs, gave us a tour of the house, and told us of many restaurants or things to do which were near by. The hosts were so sweet in many forms; one of which was setting up a gift basket full of locally grown food and locally made products, such as chocolate, kiwis and good wine. The hosts really did take really good care of us not just let us into their home. I would go back tomorrow even if I have to fly standby again.

Beautiful home with a pleasant sea view - highly recommended
26a Tindalls Bay Rd is a beautiful house which will accommodate a family or a large group of friends.
The house is nicely appointed with an attractive décor and a very pleasant sea view.
We were warmly welcomed by the managing couple who gave an introductory tour of the house and remained available for advice on local attractions to compliment a manual which offered information on these and also on how to operate the appliances.
The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and the house a short drive to shops and facilities.
I would strongly recommend this property as a very pleasant place for a holiday.

The accommodation was superb in every way. I returned to the city bubbling with new creativity and vibrant energy. A perfect retreat.

I arrived at this peaceful aesthetic oasis on a winters day, to hear the sound of tuis, see the beauty of the beach below with the sun streaming in. Excellent accommodation with fully complemented kitchen. Highly recommended.
