About this house rental
This spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is located just 1/2 block to the Seaside Promenade and Beach. Central to this home's relaxed atmosphere is the large, open living area complete with a river rock hearth and gas fireplace... the perfect spot to gather with family and friends after a long day at the beach. The adjacent eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare family meals. Also found on the first floor is a recreation room with a queen size futon couch / bed. In addition to a foosball table, you will find games, toys and puzzles for kids both young and old.
The second floor sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms both with queen size beds; a third bedroom with a full-size bed and a fourth bedroom with two twin beds. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo finishes the second floor.
Outside you will enjoy a large wrap around deck outfitted with Propane BBQ and outdoor furniture. *Properties are weatherized in the off season and some outdoor items may not be available*
Cleaning fee is $190 for this property, and the pet fee is: $35 per pet. Pet requires pre-approval from the office prior to booking property. 1 small non-shedding mature dog will be considered with pre-approval.

Very clean older home. Walking distance to downtown and beach. Well maintained. If you plan on cooking for more than 2 need to bring your own serving utensils and serving bowls. Kitchen is very poorly stocked!!! Will stay there again

We absolutely loved the location of this house. We took advantage of the location by walking to the beach and into town on the boardwalk multiple times a day. The home is full of character, which may or may not be appealing to you. It comes with the qwerks of an old home such a creaky floors and very thin walls. The door handles do need to be replaced, as many of the doors don’t shut properly. We had a family of 8 stay in this home. While everyone fit adequately, the set up was challenging for our group. The common area that shows a full sized futon in the photos is actually a pull out sofa. While it wasn’t the most comfortable place for my husband and I to sleep, because it is the only sleeping area downstairs it’s where we ended up. This way the kids could sleep in upstairs since we are the early risers of the family. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the location. The basketball hoop was a big hit as well!

The location of this property makes for a nice walk to the beach. The house is stocked well with the necessary items to prepare meals. There is plenty of beds and blankets for a large group and also 3 sofas for plenty of seating. The property is kept up well inside and out. The only item not there was a wire brush to clean the BBQ. Our family had a wonderful stay.

Great Location and adequate size for our party of 7. House was clean if a bit dated.
Very disappointed with amenities on hand for the price we paid. Kitchen layout was crowded and needs more things for travelers(spatulas, whisks, pizza cutter, mixing bowls, a working mixer). There was a bowl under the sink to catch water from a leak in the garbage disposal. Trash can was broken and small for large parties with just a trash bag for each day. Very cheap toilet paper. Found out the day of arrival that there was no gas grill as seen in pictures but a charcoal grill that was left dirtywith no grill brush to clean it. Also temperamental washing machine.
Ceiling fans would-be nice downstairs and up to circulate air especially downstairs with all those beautiful windows in front but only a slider in the kitchen to open.

My family of 7 ranging from 12-53 stayed here. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the beach. You could walk to the shops if you wanted. The house was clean and fun. House is just like the listing. No surprises. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay here. It was so close to the beach that we walked there several times a day to fly a kite, check out the low tides, play football/baseball and have bonfires. We averaged 20,000 steps a day and didn't even feel like we worked that hard for it!
Yes, its located on a one way street and it gets a little busy during the low tides, but it provided excellent people watching for my mobile challenged mother in law. She sat by the window and did a puzzle and felt like she was a part of it all. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and we cooked out every night. Plan to bring your own foil, plastic wrap and lighter for the grill as those things were not provided.

The location is outstanding! Half a block from the beach and just far enough away from Broadway that you do not have the crowds. Approximately an easy 10-minute walk to the turnaround on Broadway.
Big living area and kitchen that are brightly lit by natural light. The back deck is fabulous!
Bedrooms were great, you are not able to shut the bedroom doors and latch it shut. There are no faceplates in the door frames of the bedrooms. Doors do shut just do not stay shut. This was not an issue for our group, but you should be aware of this.
Bathrooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs are nicely done. Small backyard with a basketball hoop.
There is a game cabinet with multiple board games, cards and puzzles.
Was very considerate the check-out time was 11 am. This gave plenty of time to get the towels washed. Which, there are plenty of towels in the bathrooms and kitchen.
This property is one of the better one's I have stayed at and will definitely consider it for future stays.

We really enjoyed our time here. The location is great! Close to the beach and a short walk down the prom to the heart of Seaside. The house had plenty of room for our large group and is well stocked. (Although new knives are needed) We enjoyed all the windows in the living room for doing puzzles, the kids loved the sand toys and basketball hoop in the back. On sunny days the patio out back is wonderful. The house is older and quirks come with age. The house is very noisy upstairs when you walk, there is no sneaking around in this house and very little privacy as the doors don’t latch. We never could get the temperature right upstairs. We all roasted up there even with the heat turned way down. It was nice to open the windows but could have used a few fans up stairs. There is also a lack of outlets but for an older house it wasn’t surprising. Over all we were very comfortable and really enjoyed our time there!

Our family of 8 adults and one almost 3-yr old shared Thanksgiving in this thoughtfully laid out older home with lots of character. The living room/family room was a great gathering place (with a gas stove for winter warmth) to stay indoors and play board games and share stories in the evening. The kitchen easily seated us all for family meals. We really appreciated the ample storage space there. (We could not find a tea kettle, and the kitchen could use a few more sets of silverware and coffee mugs). It is just a quick walk from the house to the promenade and the beach, and a leisurely stroll to the town. Our granddaughter loved the carousel! We hope to return for future vacations. Thanks!

We love the Seaside Boardwalk! When searching for a home for our weekend birthday celebration Surf Manor was our choice this year. An original Seaside home built in the late 1800's and updated accordingly...was cozy and fit our family of 5 perfectly. A few issues where taken care of by property management. We loved the creeky wooden floors, great south east windows, and classic staircase!

The house was clean and pleasant. Living space was large and comfortable. Close to beach. About 15 min walk from city center.
My only complaint was it was hot. We went in august and no a/c or fans.

Had a great time at this location. Pretty close to the beach. Couple of things, place needs a little updating and also none of the bedrooms or upstairs bathroom door close all the way. Providing fans in the rooms would be wonderful, too!

The house was the perfect size & location for our family of 9! It was very clean, open and comfortable! The kitchen was great for fixing meals & by adding a couple of chairs we could all sit around the large table! The deck was nice as was the space for playing basketball. We all hope to come back to Seaside again next summer & would love to rent this house again!

We traveled to Seaside to celebrate the 4th of July. The location of the house was amazing - just half a block to the end of the Prom and the beach access. It was a half mile walk to Broadway, so we did occasionally drive down there, but it was always easy to find parking. The house was spacious, the kitchen was fully stocked, and we were all comfortable.
A couple things to be aware of - the street is VERY busy. It ends in a public parking lot and the beginning of the Prom so there was CONSTANT vehicle and foot traffic past our house. People sometimes partially blocked our driveway trying to edge their cars into partial spaces. There was people talking, dogs barking, and motocycles revving at all hours of the day and night. If you're sensitive to noise, this might not be the right street.
Luckily, it didn't really bother us and our stay was perfect. Thanks!

This house was great! No big complaints. Maybe just a minor one. Some of the doors don’t stay completely shut or lock with a couple of the rooms and restroom. Door knobs might need updating. Other than that we all really enjoyed this house, would stay again!

We had so much fun at the property and in Seaside we came right back! The price for the house during Spring Break was so reasonable we came back for a quick trip to make the most of Spring break with the kids and they brought a couple of friends. This is our new favorite place to stay, and plan on coming back this summer. Thank you so much for letting us stay again, on a last-minute trip back to the beach! Lisa & Sharon are the best. If we needed anything during our stay, we just asked them, and they were very helpful. We made so many memories, riding bikes, rented Surry's and road around Seaside. Thanks for everything!

We had a blast at this property during our Spring Break quick trip to the beach. We cooked, watched movies, played games and played at the beach. It is an older house, with lots of character. The mattress are amazing - they are new and the NovaForm 14-inch mattresses - the same ones we have at home. We had a great night sleep which really helped!
Sharon & Lisa in the office were awesome, and answered any questions we had and were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again, and with Oceanside Vacation Rentals. Thank you for letting us stay here, we will be back!

We had a great stay! The house is roomy. The deck is huge! One block from the beach. 10 minute walk down the prom to town. Plenty of dining space. The only thing this place needs is a handyman to come in to make it so the doors upstairs latch closed.

I appreciate the rental property, but the house was certainly a bit strange. The layout, the short counters/shower/toilets, especially upstairs.
None of the doors shut all the way. Major privacy issue.
The beds were not comfortable, and the heater sounded like a 747 was taking off every time it kicked on. The common room furniture was incredibly uncomfortable.
The kitchen table and chairs were awesome. Would have been nice to have common condiments available, but I appreciated what was provided.

The house was great size and location. Easy access to beach and downtown via walking. The front room with fireplace was cozy and a great hangout spot. While we love old houses, there are a couple of quirks like none of the bedroom doors latch closed and finding the right light switch. Overall, loved the place and it’s great walking access to everything.

We took an after Christmas break with 3 generations of family at the house. Everyone had a great time. The beach is 1 block away. Downtown an easy walk away. All of us were quite comfortable at the house. Beds were comfortable. Furniture and decor was nice. Kitchen was adequately equipped but could use some new eating utensils. Kids loved the foosball table. Plenty of space for playing games in the evening. Good value for the cost. We will come back.😀

We stayed here for 4 days for a Thanksgiving get-together.
There was enough in the way of pots and pans that I needed for preparation of my share of the dinner. I have never seen a rental with so few herbs, spices and sundries in the kitchen--just salt, pepper and a few herbs, olive oil and sugar. I always bring my own ingredients, so no problem, but still, it was kind of a shock. Also, no way to make ice--not even those cheap ice trays, so bring your own. As to the house itself--just right amount of beach kitch and newer stuff. Charming, warm and lots of space to spread out. The walk to the beach is super easy--just 1 block and you're there. Overall, a very workable and enjoyable spot for a small family get-together.

Great house in great location. Plenty of room for 6 adults spanning two generations. Was hard to tell how pleasant the house would be from the pictures posted since there were only 8 so had to go on reviews mostly and the reviews convinced us to book and glad we did. Reviews (most of them) were spot on.

Propert was great. We have a large family and it had enough room for everyone. Close to the beach and had chairs and sandtoys, along with games and puzzles. Kitchen was nice and big which is nice for a big family. My family had a great time and everyone had there space which is a nice change from a hotel.

This house was perfect for our last-minute getaway to the beach with Friends, Family, and a few Co-workers. The process was simple, and office staff was very respectful & responsive with our questions and met all our needs during our stay. The house is so close to the beach, and a quick walk to town. We really enjoyed the outdoor space with the new patio furniture & BBQ. The house exceeded all our expectations, we will be back and recommend to all our friends. We loved the location of this home. At the end of the north prom so an easy walk to town, direct beach access 4 houses away. House is charming, has so much potential. I’ve rented from VRBO for over 20 years, this was the dirtiest house we’ve stayed in. Fingerprints on all the doors and walls, hair in the bathroom. And the beds were uncomfortably firm. We all woke up in pain. I would rent again, but bring Lysol.

There was plenty of room for everyone! I loved the easy walk to the beach and we walked to town a couple times each day. Check on and check out was simple. I would stay here again!
