We really had a fantastic stay, such a great location, walkable to all the fun in downtown Lodi, easy parking, easy access in and out, charming home, and amazing hosts. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back!

Our family had a wonderful stay in Lodi. Their home had it all! Best location in the neighborhood heart of Historic homes. The home was air conditioned, plenty of patios (3) to enjoy the peaceful settings, and gather with family inside the home or outside. The owner is very helpful and flexible with needs or advice. We look forward to our next visit to Lodi and hopefully the Simpson home will be available

We returned to Central Valley after 3 years. We choose lodi for location, beauty and many eatery options.
This house exceed our exception & host was very kind, responsive and helpful.
Highly recommend & will return.

What can I say, Hutchins House had everything we were looking for with easy access to everything we wanted to do. Host was communicative without being intrusive. 100% would stay again.

I love the Wisteria Plant outside. Best VRBO in Lodi.

We decided to get out of our home town for along weekend with our dog. Lodi has plenty to do and is dog friendly. This house is very centrally located. We were able to walk down to the downtown Farmer's market and breweries. It is a very short drive to good wineries for tasting.
The house is really cute and has plenty of room. Our host was very response to our questions and very helpful when we could not find the extra key.
My only note for travelers is if you are traveling with your dog the fenced yard is small and mostly cobbled patio. The good news is there is a huge park right across the street to walk your dog in the grass.
We really enjoyed this house and our stay. If we travel back to Lodi we would rent it again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hutchins House over New Years Weekend. The home was impeccably clean and it was readily apparent that a lot of thought went into decorating the house to make it warm and inviting. So much charm! We enjoyed the great bottle of wine that welcomed us along with the beautiful Xmas tree still up and lit for the holidays. Beds were comfy, patio was lovely (wished we could use it more - would be great in the warmer months), and location was perfect. The area was quiet - kitchen well equipped. Marne was so nice to work with. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you for sharing this historical treasure in Lodi with us!

Like going back in time
We stayed for 30 days in January and February. The house was lovely and quite versatile. My wife and I were able to work remotely via the internet on different sides of the house and we never interrupted each other. The kitchen is great, with everything you need. We basically just lived the Lodi life for a month. It is very quiet, and serene, and beautiful even in Winter. We felt very safe and cozy. The regular sites in the area are dog walkers and students going to and from school, and outside house cats. The park across the street is mellow and friendly. Basketball courts and handball courts are used regularly by locals having fun. The people of Lodi are so exceptionally sweet and content everywhere you go. It's really like going back in time to a medium sized farm town. There is a nice brewery and numerous wine bars, but the night life is pretty slow after 9. It is about an hour drive to any memorable hiking area, but we managed to see the incredible Mt. Diablo, Pinnacles National Park, Black Hole to Calcutta Trail, and the Golden Gate Vista Point on day trips. And local Micke Grove Park and it's golf course are great facilities. P.S. You can walk to a great grocery, coffee shops, tacos, Chinese, brewery, cinema, thrifts, churches, and the awesome Joe Hassan's Clothing.

Delightful home
Lovely, well-maintained home in a charming neighborhood close to downtown. Only slept in one bed and it was comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Fenced yard is a bonus if you are traveling with a dog. This was our second time staying there and we hope to come again,

This is a home away from home.
This was a perfect place for our family of five while we visited our family in the area. It was so cozy for the holidays. Won’t look any farther now when we are back in town and need a place to stay.

Charming home
Owners were lovely and helpful. Bottle of wine left for us was a nice touch. House was spotless. Sprouts grocery store provide the raw materials for all of our meals in Lodi and the kitchen of our house had all the supplies needed so that we could cook. There is a park across the street and downtown is just a few blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant for walking. The house itself and grounds are charming.

Home away from home
We loved our stay. It was a perfect home away from home for us and our pets. We stayed at the house for 2+ weeks while our home was in renovation--went a bit longer than expected---what a surprise! lol.
The house is EXTREMELY well equipped for carrying out your normal 'home' life. We even made Christmas cookies and had everything we needed. Very clean. Beds were good and comfortable. No problems with any of the basics of the house--heat, electricity, security, etc.
Very quiet and nice little neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly but not nosy. We went on many walks around including to the downtown which is 10 mins away. Hard to get much out of downtown given COVID--but in normal times--many nice restaurants and bars to enjoy.
Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay but too short!
As soon as we arrived, we knew it was going to be a wonderful stay! The house was welcoming, clean and comfortable.
We were welcomed by the lovely owner who gave us a short tour of how things worked, which we found very helpful.
She also suggested great places to dine.
Next time we’ll stay for a weekend or a few nights. Thank you for sharing your lovely home! The neighborhood quiet and location was perfect!

Fabulous second stay
The house was even better than we remembered from our first visit. Perfect in every way. Great neighborhood, very safe feeling, walk to downtown, easy access to vineyards. It has everything you need in the kitchen. Wonderful outside space to hang out. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it without hesitation.

Beautiful, quiet house
3 friends and I, along with my dog, came to Lodi for an end-of-semester (we teach) wine tasting trip. I was thrilled to find such a beautiful house available! The bedrooms were all comfortable. We were out all day, but made use of the patios, both in the evening and then the next morning, relaxing in the lovely setting. The house is nicely decorated, all very comfortable. My dog appreciated the park right across the street, perfect for morning walk. In addition, Marne was easy to communicate with and very welcoming. I only wish we could stay more than one night!

When can I move in for good?
Amazing, Wonderful, just like home, but way better. I think it was better stocked than our own house, with everything from sheets, towels, spices, cleaning products, and even warm wraps to curl up in when outside in the evenng chill. The house was much bigger than I expected. Way bigger. A fireplace! And three outside spaces, not including the children's play house. I really wanted to move in and live in Lodi forever. And you can walk to downtown in about 10 minutes, which was great, and a park right across the street. Did I mention the flowers? And blue skies? Easy to get anywhere by car? Nice neighbors? Just lovely and a perfect place to stay for the wedding of our daughter. Thank you.

First time to lodi. Great central location with walkability to down town lodi. Super addorable 3 bed home with tons of charm! We made an excellent dinner, grilled steaks, and dined with friends in the formal dining. Loved it Christmas decor and all! Just caddy corner from a park. Comfortable and feels like home!
