Enjoy the best of wine-country outdoor living in this spaciously appointed home whose inside effortlessly transitions to the ample private hilltop backyard and pool with views of distant redwood-covered hills above and vineyard valley below. Enjoy country comfort with multiple outdoor living rooms and modern amenities. Close distance to Johnson's Beach on the Russian River 5 minutes by car or 15-20 minutes by foot. Minutes to west Sonoma's best vineyards and appellations, the scenic Sonoma California coast and Hwy 1, and historic Armstrong Redwoods State Park. We are located on the road to Armstrong state park.
Close at hand are stellar cycling, kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, and hiking opportunities. The climate in west Sonoma county is some of the best California has to offer and graced by the superb vineyards (and tasting rooms!). Hot dry inland climates mix with cool coastal marine influences to produce the perfect mix of warm comfortable days and pleasant and sultry evenings filled with an abundance of stars and the soothing song of crickets.
This home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each of the generously sized bedrooms is set up for family or group accomodations. The two larger bedrooms each have a king bed while the third bedroom has a queen bed. One king bedroom has a couch that converts to a double bed while the other has a queen matress in the large closet that can be set up as an extra bed. There is also a twin matress in a closet along with daybeds in each king bedroom that make good beds for young kids.
The fully remodeled kitchen is fully provisioned with gear by the owners who love to cook. You'll find all the accouterments necessary for whatever cooking you may wish to do. Gas range and oven, appliances, placesettings for up to 20, outdoor gas barbeque, and generous indoor and outdoor dining area.
The beautifully landscaped backyard includes lavender garden, flowers, raised bed gardens with fresh vegetables and herbs, 6 person hot tub/spa, and 32' x 14' in-ground pool with 1600 sq foot pool deck and area. Backyard also includes lounges, outdoor seating, outdoor dining, kitchen, BBQ, lawn, fireplace, tons of sun, and all the privacy and space you could hope for. Lots of lawn games and activities included in storage to round out your vacation.
Please note that Sonoma County enforces "quiet hours" outside from 9 pm to 9 am each day and no amplified sound is allowed outside for vacation rentals at any time.
Pool heating is included in nightly rate between June and September. In other months, guests may pay cost of heating pool as an extra fee. One time fee of $200 to heat from cold, plus $75/addition day to keep warm.
Cancellation policy - full refund if booking canceled 30 days in advance of arrival date. Half refund less fees if canceled 15 days in advance. No refund if canceled less than 15 days in advance. I do not wish to expound too much on this particular house because it will rent more frequently and I know we want to come back. It is a gem. The pool, the house itself, the kitchen has every little thing. There are three
'very large bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Large living room and dining room add to the charm. We really never left the property except to buy groceries.

This place is fantastic! Very well appointed and the hosts have clearly put much thought into anticipating needs every step of the way from the bathrooms to the kitchen to the indoor and outdoor conversation zones with blankets at arm's reach. The back yard was immaculately landscaped, private, with an abundance of seating and relaxation options. Last but not least, the bedrooms were very spacious and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. The hosts were very communicative, friendly, and very easy to contact. We very much hope to be back soon!

My adult daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed basking in the afternoon sun by the pool each day. Beautiful views and very peaceful surroundings. House is in a great location to town and nearby vineyards. A great getaway!

We absolutely loved this home and very much enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and had plenty of room for our family of 6. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub daily. The hosts were very communicative during our stay to make sure all was well. The beds and sheets were very comfortable. They had everything we needed during our stay. Location is excellent and very close to Main Street. Thanks to the wonderful hosts for sharing their wonderful home!

Where to even start with Chris's place - immaculately clean, great location, well-appointed (grill, hot tub, heated pool, fire pit, PIZZA OVEN??), well-decorated, I could go on. The pictures don't do it justice - there's even a nice hillside view from the backyard. Chris is lovely and responsive, and our dog had an absolute blast chasing balls in the backyard. We'll be back!

Well equipped, comfortable home for family of 6 adults, toddler grandson and granddog. Perfect long weekend get away. Enjoyed days at the pool, bbqing and the fire pit in the evenings.

This place is a perfect family spot. The pool is great for the kids. The hot tub is fun. Grill for outside. Great location close to hiking and the river. We didn’t even get a chance to take advantage of the pizza oven but we will if we stay here again. There were some small issues from normal house stuff and Chris was super helpful, very responsive. Great host.

A lovely, comfortable, spacious house with fabulous amenities. Very considerate hosts, detail oriented and quick to respond. The garden was lovely, with croquet lawn and beautiful flower beds around the apswimming pool, and more sitting areas than one could ever desire. Kitchen was great, supplemented by the outdoor wood fired pizza oven.

Chris’ home is hands down one of the top VRBOs we have ever stayed in. The inside is absolutely beautiful and the outside stunning. There are so many places to spend time outside. He is so kind and responsive. Honestly, we could not have hoped for a better weekend getaway. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay and look forward to next time.

The house is filled with eclectic items and furniture that made it feel very homey. It has all the amenities you need to cook and serve a meal with a great kitchen. But it is the backyard that seperates this property. Featuring a pool, hot tub, pizza oven, barbecue grill and firepit there is seating for at least 30 people among a beautifully landscaped yard. Great place for a large group or family!

I stayed at this beautiful home with my family over spring break. We had all of these plans to be out and about during our trip but loved the house so much we stayed there most of the time.
Chris was so quick to reply when I was booking the home and took time to answer all of questions in advance. There were thorough instructions communicated for check in/check out as well as how to enjoy all that the home has to offer.
My 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son loved the pool and we also enjoyed the hot tub. My favorite part was how quiet it was and how beautiful the backyard was. I woke up early each day so was able to enjoy coffee on the couch looking out the huge windows into the gorgeous yard.
Bedrooms are large, comfy beds and bedding and lots of room. So many different sitting areas both inside and outside. Well appointed kitchen.
The house is super close to the little downtown area, Safeway and anything you may need. We made the 30 min drive into Healdsburg one day for lunch and shopping.
We look forward to booking again in the future!

This property is gorgeous! The pictures don't do it justice. I wish we could have stayed longer than a weekend and hope to visit again soon. Everything is fully stocked. Main Street is only a 5-minute drive with restaurants and a big Safeway. The outdoor living is amazing! We could not have asked for anything better. It was perfect. The hosts are super attentive and kind.

We loved our stay here. It was likely my favorite cabin/house rental experience to date. Here are some highlights:
- Super approachable and sweet owners, answered all of our likely dumb questions before and while there!
- The place was not only spotless, but super stylish and lovely in a Boho motif.
- Super child and pet friendly - my cat George had the time of his life and didn't want to leave.
- Pool & Hot Tub were amazing and perfect - they even heated the pool for us for a little extra $$ and we swam in FEB!
- Location is great - much to do.

We loved this beautiful property and location. The backyard and pool area are immense with multiple dining and seating areas, beautiful landscaping, fruit trees and vegetable beds. Photos do not do justice! Super quiet and sunny, but also close to town and Russian river valley adventures. Chris was very attentive and provided thoughtful, detailed instructions. The property has so many beautiful little spots for privacy to relax with a book or glass of wine, even if you're visiting with friends/kids. The location is perfect -- 5 minutes to the redwoods; 30 minutes to the ocean; 5 minutes to downtown Guerneville; amazing wineries everywhere. The only problem is that it's so relaxing sitting on the deck by the pool, that it's hard to get motivated to enjoy the surrounding areas.

This is a beautiful home with a great yard. We loved the pool, hot tub, and pizza oven. The pool can be heated which made swimming in February very enjoyable.
If you like road cycling, there are great rides out the front door.
Mostly, I want to commend Chris for how warm and responsive he was all through our stay.
