Comfortable stay in a nice neighborhood extremely close to Seatac airport. Even with the hotter days it was a pleasant stay.
10.0 / 10.0
My friend walked from the airport in about 30 mins, short drive to Tacoma or to downtown. Fully stocked home that had been closed off from the other half by 2 doors so it's kind of like a duplex but very large. 1 bedroom downstairs which was needed because the stairway is quite steep so if you have more than 1 person with limited mobility you'll have a hard time. This felt a lot like staying in your friends house while they were gone more than a typical vacation rental. Definitely would return.

This was one of the strangest houses I have ever seen. The place smelled terrible and was incredibly dirty. When we moved a chair to set up a portable AC the area under it was covered with food debris cards and indescribable sticky stuff. In one bathroom the toilet was placed in a spot where you hit your head when you stand up
Lots of other issues

We enjoyed our stay but the house could do with a good cleaning as there was dust and toys under the couch and an odor throughout (cooking smells). The house is quirky, very Seattle, and in a good neighborhood close to SEATAC. The owner was responsive to a request for more towels and the house was well equipped. Overall I would recommend the house to others.

I was very surprised by the other 5 star reviews. With the exception of the kitchen, this place is very old and outdated. The biggest issue is the stairs. They are very steep and small. Both my husband and I slipped on the stairs and hurt ourselves. Based on the many other VRBO rentals I’ve rented this is definitely a 3.

The operators of this property need help managing a cleaner environment. The home was dirty when we arrived and I didn’t have an option at the time as I had already paid $2200+ for the weeks rental. The kitchen is a good size for cooking. My granddaughter has asthma so she had a difficult time with the dust.

Everything was there and easily utilized. Vacation when as planned. Quiet back yard, and very quiet surroundings. Full kitchen with utensils.
Will consider to come back in the future. Nice place.

This is a very nice older home with hardwood floors in parts of the house, so a few ups and downs in the doorways where the floors come together. The downstairs bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, as it is very small for large people. We had a very nice stay, it was a great place to base out of for visiting with local family.

This property had everything you could want in a home. The house had beautifully decorated rooms with an amazing kitchen. We had play n packs available for our two toddlers. There were AC units in the rooms which helped with the heat wave. The back patio was great for entertaining. We would definitely rent this property again!

Spotlessly clean
This was a lovely, comfortable house. The kitchen was amazing, and so was the huge back yard. It was warm in Seattle during our stay, so the windows were open and to be honest, the planes were pretty loud at night. On the plus side, we were very close to the freeways so zipping around the Seattle area was a breeze. Great host, positive recommendation!

Location and price are right!
The proximity to the airport and Seattle made this an ideal location for a large family of 8. It took us less than 2 minutes to drive to the airport for our early morning flight, but we enjoyed our 3-day stay beforehand to see all that Seattle has to offer. It is about a 30 minute drive in traffic to downtown Seattle from this property. The only drawbacks were a louder neighborhood late at night (fireworks after midnight two of the evenings) and a top floor that my aging parents were not able to access because of the steep, narrow stairs. If you have trouble with movement and stairs your only options are on the first floor bedroom and bathroom. However we would definitely stay here again because the price and location are right.

Large home near airport
This home had four bedrooms and three bathrooms which was perfect for three generations. We came up to Seattle for a wedding. My grandma stayed in the bedroom on the ground floor which worked best for her. Note: The stairs to the top floor are steep and narrow. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc. there were plenty of towels and toilet paper available. Very convenient to the airport, mall and supermarket.

We had a great time!
We did have a problem initially getting into the house, we arrived in the middle of the night, but the property manager was able to make it right and swiftly compensated us for the issue without being asked. Everything else was great. The home perfectly accommodated our families needs. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could want to cook with. This is an older home, and some of the furnishings are older, but I believe it was competitively priced accordingly. We liked the location, it is just a few minutes from the airport, but it appears to be outside normal flight paths so airplane noise was minimal if we even noticed. There is a grocery store in walking distance, and your close to a mall and shopping area. Downtown Seattle is around 30min away. Overall we had a great time!

Wasn’t what was expected
The area had some construction, so traveling in and out took quite some time. Also, the parking was on a grass/gravel area. Glad it didn’t rain too much and get the cars stuck while we were there. The house was clean and spacious. There is a person/owner who lives in the property too. The owner communicated with me once. I would have liked more answers to my questions, however, they were not detrimental concerns. Over all it was nice, just not what was expected.

Pleasant family gathering
It was a nice home and had lots of space to feel comfortable. The hot water was really good even after three or four showers. The kitchen was admirable by family chef. However, not exactly what I was expecting— it was cleaner when we left than when we got there if I’m honest. The heat in the house took hours to actually work so make sure to bring extra blankets. Also, we smoked outdoors even in the rain due to the policy, which I completely understand, but they came to us saying they could smell it through the vents which made us feel invaded and uncomfortable. We were really excited about the jacuzzi bath which ended up being broken. Other than those occorances it was a nice stay.

Great place just south of Seattle. Very close to SeaTac airport, but minimal plane noise. Plenty of room, comfortable, big back yard.

Girls weekend
This house is so cute and the layout is amazing!!! We had 4 in out party, so each of us had a room to ourselves. Queen beds in 3 of the rooms and a bunk bed in one room. Loved that the house is centrally located to surrounding area to tour around and eateries!!! Loved our stay

Great location for our needs
Very responsive host. The house worked great for our family gathering in the location we needed. Well stocked with all the kitchen equipment we needed. Excellent bakery down the street at Impresso Expresso. It is an older house and isn’t glamorous, but it worked fine for our multi-generation group of 6.

Unexpected Family Gathering
In the wake of my father's unexpected illness and death I was able to gather my kids &
grandkids together with the use of this property. Even though we were a bigger group than the property was listed for, lots of littles, the owner was very accommodating on such a short notice. Even granted a late check out the day after my father's funeral. The kitchen was fully stocked of every appliance you could possibly think of. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
The only downsides I would say was how steep and awkward the stairs are. One of us even took a spill down them. The upstairs bathroom has a slanted ceiling, my son's range and height from 6'2" to 6'5"... Let's just say standing to use the toilet was not an option

This place was clean with a beautiful backyard.
We stayed there for a family gathering last weekend. The place was kept really clean and provided everything we needed for the stay. Only thing was the back yard in the pictures was shown nice and green but when we went there it was for the most part dried up. I think its understandable because of the drought and dry heat and don't want to waste water for the lawn, other than that it was still has a nice huge backyard. i would highly recommend this place to anyone who are interested to spend quality time with your families.

Large House Near Airport - 30 min from Downtown Seattle
Our family of 5 had plenty of space in this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house. The kitchen had more than enough plates, silverware, glasses, and cookware to meet all our needs. The property is very quiet with no traffic or loud neighbors. The owner’s mother lives in the adjoining apartment which is connected by a shared laundry room that locks from both sides. She is very quiet and we never heard her.
The owner has installed several portable A/C units and plenty of floor fans throughout the house. These work very well and the house was very comfortable even during the unusual hot weather Seattle was having.
We did have a couple minor issues that were resolved extremely quickly. Upon our arrival, the TV in the main living room did not work. The owner responded immediately sending the caretaker over to replace the broken cord. The caretaker then discovered the DVD player was broken. It was fixed the next day. We returned home one evening to find the power went out to the main living area and part of the kitchen. Again, the owner responded quickly and resolved the issue within 5 minutes. We did notice an odor to the bunk bed room. While it slightly improved, it still lingered during our stay.
Overall, the house was a very good value. We had plenty of space, and the proximity to the airport and short commute to Seattle were all benefits.

Older home but good for large groups.
The house was large enough for 8 people. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, towels, and other utensils. They provided soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, paper products, spices, and some coffee. It has 3 bathrooms, though one bathroom was part of the bedroom and there was not a separate toilet area. One bathroom had an extremely small shower. Two of the upstairs bedrooms had portable air conditioners and there was another one on the first floor to cool the kitchen, den and first floor bedroom. The bedroom on the second floor with bunk beds for children was not air conditioned, but there were fans for that room. The house has a lot of stairs, so it is not appropriate for people with physical disabilities.
The yard is large and well manicured. There was a grill, dining set, and swing on the porch. The swing set in the picture of the yard was not there.
The owner lived in the adjoining apartment and was accommodating and nice. We had a car issue while there and the owner allowed us to stay an extra 2 hours while we resolved the problem without charging us extra. We really appreciated that.
The expressway was close and it only took 20 or so minutes to get to downtown Seattle. The airport was 5 minutes away as well as the car rental return.

SeaTac property
This was a great place for our small group of 6 adults and 2 kids for our Thanksgiving meal. Kitchen had service for over 10 with a lot of cooking items and a fun ice maker. Roomy and spacious. The back yard was very big and nice. Very close to the airport. The only reason for the 4/5 on cleanliness was the carpet was very sticky in some spots and the coffee maker had grounds left in it. Thanks for sharing your place.

Great for families and dog owners
Perfectly clean! The house is very large with a massive backyard for kids and dogs. It has a fully stocked kitchen that made cooking very convenient. The mattresses were comfortable, and our kids had fun in the jetted tub. On top of all this, the owner is very kind and quick to respond. We highly recommend this house, especially for families and dog owners.

Great rental for our family
This was great for our family of four plus in laws for our trip to Seattle. The big yard was perfect for our 2 year old to run around in and the little play kitchen was an added bonus. There was plenty of space for us and the ease of working with the owner made it so nice.

Seattle vacation
The property is close to the airport and freeways and public transportation. The kitchen and general living areas are comfortable as are the bedrooms. The bathrooms were small and there was only a Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom which was otherwise a very comfortable room. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location
Great location. The house was well stocked. Layout is quirky with recliners in the master bath area. The stairs are extremely steep which kept my husband and I from being able to use the more comfortable bed upstairs. The bed downstairs was very firm. There was a pungent odor in the house that seemed to come from the laundry room that was tolerable we kept the door closed. Some of the silverware was dirty with food remnants in the fork tines and serrated edges of the knives. We just washed all the silver and wiped down the stove top. The person who lives in the apartment is very quiet and you can barely tell she is there. It was a good value for our family.
