Tastefully decorated throughout, this peaceful retreat is the perfect spot to enjoy your SANDESTIN® Golf and Beach Resort beach vacation. Breathe in the fresh breezes coming in off the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico from your spacious private balcony overlooking some of the nicest beaches among Destin and South Walton's renowned sugar white sand beaches. Then head down the elevator to a relaxing day by the resort style pool complete with separate kiddie pool, seasonal snack bar and hot tub or to your choice of one of many adventures on the resort or off.
At the end of your day, relax in the cozy living area with a large flat screen TV and upgraded sleeper sofa, or one of the two roomy bedrooms. Great place to stay. Views of the pool and beach. Very secure resort and clean. Wish beach chair service was included but they did have chairs in the room for us to use. Will be coming back next summer.

We loved our trip to Westwinds and will be booking for next year! Heated pool, close to the beach, and shuttle takes you wherever you need to go. Property was clean and very quiet.

We had a great stay despite poor weather. The condo was perfect for a family of 5! We had everything we needed in the condo. The pool was heated and comfortable for the kids even in cooler weather. We will be back!

I was happy with the accommodations. One bad thing was as we were asleep the first night, the king bed collapsed. One of the planks slipped off the side board. We put it back on and then it happened again early in the morning. Mind you, we are small people and dont weigh much. In the morning we checked out the situation and realized that the boards (3 of them) were not screwed down and the side board looked like this had happened before because there was a chunk of wood missing. Luckily my husband is a contractor and so we ran to the local Home Depot and bought some long 1x4 boards, screws and tools to fix it. We also put some leg supports under several of the boards. Worked great for the rest of the time but it wasted a whole morning😩. Later that week we found some of the original support legs in the night stand. Sadly this bed was poorly put together from the beginning. We never called the manager because we figured we could just fix it ourselves. The other issue that I have with this rental is that it wasn’t a “Sandestin” rental. We could use the pool and go to the beach and use the shuttle, however we couldn’t use the other amenities that were there. We were told that because it was through another company, we couldn’t use pickleball courts, tennis courts, bikes, lap pool, etc. That was kind of crappy because we were looking forward to those things. Also, the linens were very tired and worn.

The condo was as described. When we arrived, the smoke alarm needed a battery and management was very prompt to replace the battery. That was the only time I had to contact them that week.
The cleaning company kept the resort very clean.

By far the most amazing condo we have stayed in. Everything was absolutely perfect and worked great for our family! We will definitely be booking again for next year !

We arrived at the unit facility around 3 pm (check-in time 4 pm) and sent a message asking if we could go ahead and access the unit. As we waited on a reply we decided to go up and check it out. We entered the unit and checked the beds out as we do during any stay. We did a quick walk through and decided to go eat. 30 minutes after we entered the unit we received a phone call from the property manager yelled aggressively and inappropriately at us, scolding us for entering the unit. We were spoken to as if we were criminals. We had no problem paying the $50.00 for entering the room for "early check in" but as someone who works with people in a "customer service" environment it was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever encountered.
Every question we asked during our stay resulted in a rude response including our water being shut off for 12 hours. We failed to read a tiny fine print post that there was an extremely sensitive water leak detection system. And although we never spilt or had water on the floor we were blamed for the 12 hours of no water. During that time we called the property manager numerous times. It was finally communicated to us the following morning that we were suppose to call the water failure number.
Lastly, we were rudely accused of taking a yellow rubber arm band used to access the pool/beach area.
I WOULD NEVER STAY IN A UNIT MANAGED BY THIS GROUP/MANAGER AGAIN. Every question/ encounter was the worst I have experienced and we love to travel.

Escape from Iowa!
The condo, the property and beach are so well kept! We are amazed at how quiet and private the accommodations are. We love the ease of getting to grocery, shopping and dining facilities. We had a wonderful stay. This is my 3rd stay in the Westwinds, our friends were very impressed. Thank you for such clean and quality accommodations.

We had a wonderful vacation!! Very nice condo. We especially liked that each room had ocean views. The pools were nice and never too crowded. The baby pool was a plus. The condo is in great location with gated entrance which we liked. The parking deck was great and we never had an issue finding a parking spot. The elevators were fast and there was never a long wait. We loved the short walk to the beach. The only negative issue for us was the over crowding of beach chairs/umbrellas that are pay per use. If you plan to pay to use them then it’s not an issue but they set them all up whether they are rented or not and take up a lot of space leaving a small area for personal chairs and play areas for kids. This was also a very busy summer so that may not always be an issue. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I spent a week at this Westwinds condo in early March. The condo was clean and good condition. The Westwinds building in Sandestin is great location on the beach with a good pool on property. Tons of amenities on the Sandestin property for both kids and Adults. The property manager was very helpful and easy to communicate if we had questions. We hope to make it back in the future!

Our stay was just alright
The unit was average. Nothing was awful, but it wasn’t great either. The beds were very uncomfortable. We had to re-wash every dish we used as everything was dirty coming out of the dishwasher. There was constant construction noise all day long.

We stayed at westwinds 4744. The place was nice and clean. Had great view and easy access to the beach. Washer and dryer inside the room made it convenient. They also had chairs for us to borrow to bring and sit on the beach. We enjoyed our stay. Easy check in check out.

We love # 4744 Westwinds!
We have stayed in this unit numerous times and always request it....it is really convenient and is on the 5th floor. It has two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Tile throughout, so no dingy smell of wet carpet. Nice kitchen with granite countertops. All in all, we will continue to request this unit, i.e. our favorite in all of Westwinds...also the pool restaurant area opened the day we arrived, so good hamburgers. Sensational pool, waterfall and hot tub. I highly recommend this unit. Sandestin as a whole is magnificent. We have been coming since the early 1980's and enjoy it more and more. Very secure resort. Lots of good restaurants on the bay side and lots of fun at Baytown Wharf. Marcella is fantastic and very easy to work with. Again, highly recommend her!

It is not to far of a walk to the beach and the view is amazing. We got up early and watched dolphins play in the gulf. Beautifully decorated and the pool is a nice temp at all times! Really wish we had longer to stay!!!

Our stay at Westwards # 4744
Our stay began on Wednesday December 27. The condo unit was super nice. It offers 2 bedrooms plus 2.5 baths. The kitchen countertops were granite and the appliances and coffee maker were in good working order. The floors in the entire unit were tile and clean. There were two beds in the second bedroom and the master was a king. The unit came with a stacked washer and dryer (which we did not use). Nice balcony that had 4 chairs. This unit is on the 5th floor. All in all, we will come back to this unit many times.

Great views and beautiful condo, just missing some necessities!
I loved the stay, but was inconvenienced when I got out of the shower with wet hair and realized there was no hair dryer, so had to drive to Wal Mart, a few miles away to purchase one. There is a hair dryer now, as I left the one I purchased behind for the next person. It is difficult to travel with large items like hair dryers on planes these days due to carry on restrictions. Also there was no kleenex to be found in the entire place (should be a given), and most importantly the cork screw was so insufficient, it didn't work. Otherwise I highly recommend it and would rent it again.

Overall Excellence!!
We've been to Destin many times...this Westwind community is the only we've returned to. This property is within a beautiful, golf course with trails & sports courts. There is covered parking for the inevitable rain storm. The building is classy & quiet. Even at the peak summer season, it's not busy & crowded. The condo is stunning and tastefully decorated. The walk way to the pool & beach includes water features & palm trees. It's all lovely. And Marcella is professional, kind & efficient...absolutely wonderful to work with! We will definitely return. :)

Great Property! Clean and comfortable!
This unit is very clean (I'm a clean freak) and the furnishings were very comfortable. The view was awesome and you cannot beat the location as it is right on the beach. Marcella the property manager was great to work with. We have stayed at Westwinds before and this unit was better furnished and equipped than the 3 bedroom we had previously. Can't wait to come back!
