There's a pet park, City park, free kids water park, public boat ramp and 2 City fishing piers just steps outside our front door. The City park hosts arts and crafts shows many weekends throughout the year.

Welcome to the Sebastian River Area, one of Florida's authentic Treasure Coast communities on the Indian River Lagoon and home to America's first National Wildlife Refuge, Pelican Island. The Sebastian River Area is located on the central east coast of Florida and is situated in the northernmost part of Indian River County about 15 miles north of Vero Beach and 20 miles south of Melbourne. The area is well known for the rare antiquities that have washed upon its shores. Treasure hunters continue to search our beaches for gold, jewelry, and other artifacts lost in history. Sebastian Inlet State Park is the premier saltwater fishing spot on Florida's east coast; favored by anglers for catching snook, redfish, bluefish, and Spanish mackerel from its jetties. Surfing is also a popular recreation and several major competitions are held here every year. The Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway, a nationally designated byway runs through the Sebastian River Area. The Indian River Lagoon, which is North America's most biologically diverse estuary, the St. Sebastian River, Blue Cypress Lake, and the Stick Marsh are fishing hotspots and a boater's paradise. We had a great week at this house. Perfect Sebastian location. Walk to bars and restaurants. Short drive to everything else you might need. Very comfortable house with a great view. Highly recommended.

Our family stayed here for a week and it was very nice. It was clean, spacious and private for a relaxing getaway. The dock was great for fishing and boating. The parks and Sebastian inlet are close and the area was friendly and inviting. The hosts were very responsive and the check in/out process was easy. We would love to come back to this area in the future.

We had a fantastic stay in this house. The communication went smoothly, the house is super clean and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The view of the Indian River is great and the view is unique. We can absolutely and unreservedly recommend the accommodation and should we ever be drawn to Florida again, we would probably like to book this vacation home again. Thank you very much for this great stay.

Very good place to bring the boat. Where all your neighbors walk to town for local restaurants, a place where you really feel safe

We are repeaters to this vacation rental and would highly recommend this home. Central to many restaurants and points of interest.

This is a wonderful house in a great location. There are a number of good restaurants within an easy walking distance. Many also include live music. Generally, the weather here is pretty good but this year was somewhat cold with some rainy days, but you can't blame that on the property. We've been here before and will be back again.

Great location. Interior could use more lighting; particularly in the kitchen. Back porch needs paint and pressure wash. Front door needs repair / replacement. Beds good.

This is an amazingly beautiful property! We stayed for almost two weeks and didn’t want to leave. The breeze off the river is great! The sunrises are spectacular! You can walk to several local bars and restaurants. However, it nestled off the road and is very private. The owners were very attentive and the whole process of checking in and out was easy. We can’t wait to return!!

This place has it all! The location on land is right in the heart of everything yet super private. You can’t even tell you have a neighbor. The location on the water is perfect as well. Only a few minutes by boat to the St Sebastian River, the Sebastian Inlet, and directly across from one of the prettiest spoil islands we found. The dock has everything a fisherman could need. Adequate depth for docking the boat, power, water, and a cleaning table. The owners were very quick to respond to any inquiries and took care of a minor issue within minutes upon our arrival. We were impressed. Two boat launches within a mile of the house. We had the best time exploring the waters of Indian River Lagoon and plan to be back soon. Great area, great fishing, great house. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Quaint 3/2 home right on the Indian River. Perfect location with a dock, boat drop almost next door, and dining in walking distance. Enjoyed the locals and the small town feel. The evening sea breeze in the backyard was just what I needed to unwind. Sunrise across the riverfront is something to see. Would recommend without hesitation.

We absolutely loved this place. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Morning coffee on the back deck with the most amazing sunrises was something we looked forward to each day. Thank you for sharing your home. We will be back.

So Relaxing!!
Just cannot beat the location. The wind coming off of the water in the afternoon and evenings is SO relaxing. Enjoyed the 4th activities very much. House was clean and updated inside. Had everything we needed. Suggest doing your sightseeing in the a.m. when winds are still and coming back to house in early p.m. to enjoy the outside. Thank you Matt and Meghan

Just do it!
If you are wondering if you should rent this house, the answer is yes!
The house is wonderfully decorated with a stunning view!! It is private, yet within walking distance to everything.
There were dolphins right outside the house and stunning views from the master bedroom. The washer and dryer were so handy as well as the available kayaks.
So, if you are hesitant about choosing this house for your perfect Sebastian stay- I say just do it! You will not regret it!

FANTASTIC
Everything is exactly as advertised! Great little house, very clean, awesome dock for our 17 foot boat, and great fishing. Boat ramp is walking distance! Exactly what we were looking for!
We were able to ride bikes to multiple restaurants and shops, even a fresh seafood market as well as a fresh produce stand. So conveniently located and private.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Hidden Gem
Proximity to the park and various summer fairs is great and the beautiful sunrise views were fantastic. This property was enjoyed immensely by all and is highly recommended. Communications with the hosts was great. Super easy check in and check out. The decor inside is interesting and we especially appreciated art showing the hurricanes which the property has survived over the years.

Wonderful vacation
My wife and 2 teens stayed at this home for 2 weeks. It's everything as depicted in the photos and more. Very clean and comfortable ranch with just about everything you need. You can't beat the privacy and terrific views of the river and all the wildlife. Lots of dolphins and birds to see every day. Also brought a small fishing boat and kept it at the dock most of the time. Fishing is great at Sebastian Inlet and around the spoil islands in the river. Sebastian is low key and definitely has that old Florida feel, a great place to visit. This was the best place we've ever rented. Highly recommended.

Super comfortable house right on the water
We were pleased to see the house was even better than the VRBO pictures. It is located on the Indian River Lagoon with a good dock. The weather was not as we would have hoped but the location was super. Oh yeah, the fishing exceeded expectations also.

PERFECT!
This was truly the most relaxing getaway that my husband and I have spent in years. The house was furnished beautifully and our hosts provided everything that we could have wanted. The waterfront scenery was wonderful and we were pleasantly surprised at the lack of traffic when we went exploring. Wonderful restaurants were within a short drive. We will definitely be back!

Fun, relaxing Vacation!
We spent a 4 day "grandparents" weekend with our grandson here. He had the "greatest time of his life". He kayaked for the first time, fished off the dock and caught his first barracuda (we were so surprised), sheepshead, porcupine fish, and a variety of little ones. Property was pretty and loved sitting on the back porch watching the afternoon storms roll in. Wish I could post the beautiful pictures we took. Thank you for having us.

An Honest Review
First we would like to start off by saying that the location of the property was great! We did have a bit of a hard time finding it during the night upon our arrival, the mailbox to this rental only has the address marked on one side which was opposite than the side we needed at the time coming in. The location on the bay was absolutely outstanding and relaxing. The kids loved spending time out on the dock fishing. The home is really in a great location that is close to shopping, a great local fruit and vegetable stand, restaurants and the numerous beautiful beaches to choose from. We did have some disappointments though. Since we got in late our first day we ended up needing to contact the homeowner on the second day because we could not figure out how to work the lights on the dock and the kids were interested in doing some night fishing. We followed all of the instructions and they just wouldn’t light. We never got a response back. We cook a lot when we are on vacation and while the kitchen is equipped with things to adequately cook with it lacks in dishes and serving bowls for a family of 5. The toaster was not usable as well since when you tried to use it, it just smoked even after we gave it a good cleaning. The house could use some updating especially in the one bathroom. The bathtub in the one bathroom was fixed in several spots with what looked to be like duct tape. The one side of the house could use some cleaning up as well where it looked as though it had a trash pile started with an old grill, propane tank and old blocks. Here is the part that concerned us the most…. Our last night in the home we ended up having an issue that started at 1:00 in the morning. The smoke alarms started going off. We could not find the cause for the alarms. They shut off. A few minutes later they started again, then the carbon monoxide detectors started going off. This went on well into 2:00 in the morning. Off on off on…. We made calls to the local contact person, left a detailed message and no response. The communication once in the home was absolutely nonexistent. We understand possibly not answering a call so early in the morning, but to not call back later with circumstances that we ran into is inexcusable. The previous disappointments could have easily been over looked and not a big deal to us because nothing is perfect, but the nonexistent communication especially when a problem occurred was what put a damper on it all.

Easy Living in Sebastian
Had a wonderful week at the cottage. The view is beautiful. Easy to do runs/walks in the area, all local folks pleasant as you pass by. Had a tasty meal at 'Ocean Grill" in Vero Beach and enjoyed eating at Ay Jalisco twice. Great 2 for 1 Margaritas during happy hour (M-F, 4:30 - 6:30). Had a terrible lunch at "The Old Fish House Bar and Grill", maybe an off day? Most days enjoyed swimming at "Treasure Shores" beach, clear 79F temp water. Love Sebastain and Matt's comfortable abode!

Great find with dock access!
We had a great time! Our favorite thing to do is be on the water with our kids and what a great location. There were kayaks available and a dock for our boat. We went to the inlet and hung out on the islands. The house was perfect, very clean and fully stocked so we cooked a lot on the trip. There was a restaurant just down the street on the water which was nice too. Thank you Matt for a lovely Memorial Day weekend!

Sebastian Trip
Had a great time in Sebastian. You cannot beat the location. So close to so many restaurants / bars. If you’re bringing a boat, it couldn’t be easier with the boat ramp so close and free overnight trailer parking within walking distance if it doesn’t fit in the driveway. Thanks Matt and Megan!

The property is absolutely beautiful!!!
First of all, whoever decorated the home did an awesome job! The house and location are simply beautiful. Being a cook, I appreciated the large fully furnished kitchen. The view from the kitchen is amazing and made me hand wash dishes instead of using the dishwasher. I loved everything about our stay.....this is the one!
