Amazing communication with host. House was perfect location. Airplanes were a hit with the kids. Amazing family vacation. And loved that the house had its own ice maker!

We had a blast at the Flying Hogfish! Nice, quiet location! The place was nice and roomy! The private airport next door was a nice addition! Very interesting watching the planes and the people prep, takeoff, and land! My family flew in and out of Key West! Easy trip for pickup and drop offs! We definitely would stay again! Thanks Laurie!

We just enjoyed the Flying Hogfish over the Holidays and had a great time. The house was in a very convenient location for us halfway between Key West and Marathon. The hosts were great to work with, informative, and very, very responsive. The house provided everything we needed and was in a location where we never bothered anyone. Great neighborhood on Summerland Airport and very nice neighbors. Thanks !

The place had plenty of room to park our cars and trailer with some shade. The bulkhead was good for keeping the boat in the water The pool had a heater which was nice for the cool windy days. The ice machine was a nice bonus. We kept a 26 ft catamaran in the water and had no issues. The inside was cool and clean. We bought an updated coffee machine but otherwise had everything we needed in the kitchen and grill. The garage was huge and was a great place to lock up all of our gear out of the weather. Watching planes land and take off from the living room was a cool background. The ride to open water was a little long. But I just used it as a time to rig lines and square up the boat. The owner was responsive.

We had a fabulous time at the Flying Hogfish! My husband and I spent a month and our kids and grandchildren took turns visiting. We all enjoyed watching the small planes land and take off. The kids spent hours in the pool while watching boats travel up the canal. The upper deck is a perfect spot for cocktails and a sunset. Quick trip out to ocean or gulf! Would love to stay here again! Ice machine was essential for filling large coolers for fishing ,and much appreciated!

This house was perfect for our needs during our stay. The internet speed is 200Mb download, we are still working sometimes at the middle of the days, where was to hot outside. The kids loved the pool and the spacious backyard with palm. Everyone enjoyed catching and releasing fish from the canal. Summerland Key is nice in that it’s quiet yet relatively close to Marathon and Key West. Great house and location!

Enjoyed our stay. More than enough room, plenty of privacy and all the amenities of home. Central to all that there is to see and do in the Keys.

I come to The Lower Keys each December to fish and relax. My three requirements are on canal with ocean access, pool and dog friendly. My expectations were exceeded with the ice maker, foosball table, ping pong, kyack, bikes, etc. The kitchen also has everything you need. The one improvement I would make is replacing the double mattresses as they are not comfortable for an adult. However, I only had two people for a few days and it did not detract from my overall experience. This is a great property at a reasonable price.

The house is very nice and made for a great base camp to explore all the keys has to offer from our favorite key. The owner makes sure the process is painless and has thought of everything from having a ping pong table / foosball table to even having some extra common supplies around. This is a very safe and quiet private airport community . The occasional small plane using the runway is a real treat and the kids loved it. Staying here was a breeze and very enjoyable and we would definitely stay here again when we return to the keys. Thanks for everything and allowing us to make some great memories here!!!

We just spent a month at Flying Hogfish and were very pleased with the accommodation, the beautiful deck, and the refreshing pool. We enjoyed watching the planes come and go, it was not disruptive at all, rather entertaining. The location was perfect for walking and biking and if you enjoy fishing there were many opportunities to either fish from the bridges or go out on a boat. The actual house was well laid out, the owner has thought of everything. Definitely an excellent rating!!!!

Great house! Nicely laid out especially for family stays 3/2 split plan with plenty of room for everyone. Nice pool and top deck for BBQ's . The house was supplied with everything one would need except when we arrived there was no toilet paper or paper towels so make sure you grab those things before you arrive. The closet grocery store (big grocery store) is the Winn-Dixie as you get into Big Pine Key (about 12 miles N. of this house). I am giving our stay 4 stars because while the house was great the view from across the canal was rather disappointing. It was very industrial and loud early in the morning Monday thru Friday. Over-all we really enjoyed our time at this place!

We stayed this past week at the Flying Hogfish. We rented two homes in Summerland Key to accommodate our family. We ended up at the FH almost the whole time. It was perfect for entertaining. The layout of the home was great, pool super clean, home clean and very liveable. This is our second stay there and we will be booking the home again.

It was a great stay! The only thing I would like to have changed was having sun on the pool during the day for laying in the sun. The owner is very nice and will address any issues right away, we were there for a month stay.
