What a great family camp. We had an amazing time with our 3 kids and family dog. House is well stocked and cozy. Kids enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and especially fishing. Would definitely rent again.

Always a great spot. Had rented when my kids were young and were excited to return now that my kids are grown and flown. They were excited to revisit some wonderful childhood memories.
The place is neat and clean, and pet friendly. We also love the easy access to the water. Had a few friends visit and we had lots of space to connect and disconnect! Will definitely rent again.

Propery is exactly how described and seen in pictures. My husband and I (and our 9 yr.old beagle) had a fabulous relaxing stay. Only wished it was longer. There is more than enough room for an entire family with children. Already working on planning another stay here next year. Thank you Doug and Jan for allowing us to share your little piece of heaven with us.
Tom, Debbie and Jackson too!

Cabin and surrounding property was clean and well maintained. Getting to the water was easy, which was a concern of mine being I have knee issues. Watched the sunset each night and the sunrise each morning while sipping my coffee. It was quiet and peaceful which is what I was looking for. Spent time each day dipping my feet in the water and watching the fish and ducks swim by. My only suggestion to future renters is to bring rubbing alcohol with you. The yard has many big beautiful pine trees that do release sap that likes to stick to your bare feet. Soap and water does nothing to remove pine sap but rubbing alcohol takes it right off.
We had a wonderful time and we thank Doug for sharing his families piece of paradise with us. Hope to visit next year.

We've stayed at the Dodge lake house before but only in the winter (which I highly recommend as well- love that fireplace.) This time we were able to enjoy the lake in liquid form and we, a party ranging in age from 1 to 81, had a great time swimming, floating, kayaking. The house is just perfect for a relaxing stay- roomy but cozy, clean and attractive but well-worn enough that youre not in a constant state of anxiety about making a mess. Douglas is quick to communicate and provides clear and thorough instructions abt the house and property. We wld definitely book again, for any time of year.

We had such a fantastic week long stay, the house was cozy and the lake and surrounding areas were lovely for morning walks.
The back porch that over looks the lake was the perfect place to watch the sun rise or set.My family and i would definitely stay at this lake house again.

Amazing place. Have been to many lake houses over the past few years but this was our favorite. Beautiful, cozy cottage with an amazing fireplace. The outside is paradise with insane sunset views of the beautiful lake. Also our dog Tucker had the best 3 days of his life.

Great location property was clean, right on the water. First hour we were there we received a call on the landline and it was the owner. He asked to speak to me and told me that his neighbor called him and told him that his porch canopy was open. Well it was raining and we were sitting on the porch and never saw any rules regarding the canopy being open. Doug over the phone treated me like a child telling me “ it needs to be put down now”! Then later my son Discovered 2 cameras in the trees on Doug’s property. This was never mentioned in the listing and no signs were posted. This however now made my family feel very uncomfortable like we were being watched, and it showed we were being watched, because no neighbors were home to say anything to Doug regarding the canopy being open so he was watching us. The camera watching us has camouflage tape around it and truly looks like a tree branch that broke. Looks right into the kitchen window. Other then feeling on edge and not liking being watched we all had some good laughs and memories made. Just next year we will be looking for something else. Loved the property and being right on the water just don’t care to be watched.

This property was perfect to get away and relax on the water. We kayaked every day and it was especially beautiful during the sunset. Every night we went out on the dock and admired the stars, you could even see the Milky Way!!
The water was clear, warm and the cabin had everything we needed. I can’t wait to return!

I stayed with my spouse and two kids (9 and 12) at this lovely camp. I think my favorite time was mornings when the lake was at its most tranquil and quiet. I sat with a cup of tea and just watched the water and listened to the birds. The occasional kayak would coast across the water, sometimes a paddle boarder would wave. Later in the day, my kids would hurl themselves off the floating dock or we would take the kayaks out (life vests provided). In the afternoons, you could snooze in the sunlight on the screened in porch if your book got a little slow or you could read in the hammock. The kids played cards on the porch and drew pictures at the table or delighted in cable, something we don't have at home. There were plenty of games and puzzles for rainy days. Dover, NH, is also close and we recommend the ice cream and candy shop Lickees and Chewees. It has a medieval theme and is pretty great. The whole week was just a lovely break. Dusk and dawn were my favorite tijme. The kitchen was nicely stocked, there were lots of blankets for all the beds, fans for every room, and comfy furniture. It felt like a home, not a hotel and not a place where someone offloaded their old stuff. Just a really wonderful place. Highly recommend. Also, Doug was very responsive and very prompt.

This cottage was so perfect for my husband and our chocolate lab. It was clean, welcoming, and on such a beautiful part of the lake! You can’t beat it. Relaxing on the deck, grilling, and swimming throughout the day. We will def book again- outdoor shower also a plus! We had a beautiful breeze off the lake throughout the day and night, just perfect.
Cute neighborhood, off the beaten path. No complaints at all! Already planning our next stay :) highly recommend.

My husband and I loved this area and cottage. It was so clean and neat and had everything we would need to be comfortable. I was two days post op for knee surgery and was concerned about getting down to the water to fish with my husband but that concern was unfounded. This property was set up for ease and comfort and the Dodge's were excellent hosts. We were wishing we had brought our kids and grand children as they would have enjoyed it as much as we did. We will return. Thank you for an excellent time.

We loved staying here. We were four adults with plenty of room for twice that many for sleeping arrangements. We very much enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace. An added bonus is the glassed in porch that overlooks the lake for morning coffee. Doug was readily available for questions via email or text. We absolutely recommend this cabin.

We had a great stay at this adorable cabin. Much roomier than it appears from the outside and fit all of us easily (me, my husband, 4 kids, and dog). Beautiful location right on the lake and so convenient to King Pine. Everything we were looking for!

From start to finish this was an awesome experience. As the other reviews say, the pics do this place no justice! It is cute and cozy and has everything you need. The view and space is amazing. It was perfect!! Coffee in the morning on the porch, sunsets, sunrises, fire in the indoor fireplace at night with some wine and cards. Already planning our next trip!! Spent a lot of time in Wolfeboro as well. Not a bad 25 min drive from the house. Great little town, lots of good spots. O Bistro at the Inn on Main is awesome! The Farmers Kitchen for breakfast is a must! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you Doug!
