THE SPACE
Located on a beautiful forested green belt, this home is conveniently located only 5 minutes from US 50. This is very helpful during the snowy weather because it is on one of the first streets to be plowed, making access easier. Ample parking and level entry makes accessing the home incredibly easy for older and younger guests. While there are homes to each side, the view from most rooms is a verdant forest with abundant wildlife.
Wicker Moose Manor is a spacious 3,600 square feet, so there's plenty of room for multiple families. The house has two living rooms each with wood and pellet burning stoves, comfortable seating, large windows that bring in plenty of natural light, and televisions. Upstairs has a large wall mounted flat screen, as well as downstairs, where board games, foozeball and a shuffle table are kept. There are two master bedroom suites, both with windows, private bathrooms with plenty of light and large mirrors, and closet space. The home has many electrical outlets, so there is no fighting for a space to charge your devices. Pocket doors allow you to close off a room to keep the noise down in other parts of the home. The kitchen, dining room, and upstairs master all have sliding glass doors enabling you to bring the outdoors in. The back deck has plenty of space for you to sit and listen to the creek and the birds fluttering about. Breathe in the fresh, crisp mountain air and relax!
The garage is perfect for storing your outdoor gear like kayaks, fishing gear, ice chests, bikes, and skiis or snowboards. The backyard is ideal for sledding, and the house has sleds for you to use in the garage.
During the winter, the central heating system keeps the house at a comfortable 65 degrees, but nothing beats a fire on a snowy night. There is firewood and wood pellets on site for your convenience as well. During the summer the whole house fan keeps the home comfortable after the sun sinks behind the trees. Only occasionally does Wicker Moose Manor experience uncomfortably hot nights, but no worries - the house has a central heating and air conditioning system.

Rented this house for a wedding weekend for family to gather and stay. Plenty of space for everyone and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. We did a lot of food prep there for the wedding and the kitchen area was PERFECT for everyone to be able to pitch in and help without being in each other's way! And the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The host, Jackie, was very welcoming and even kept us informed of activities in the area that may have impacted our treks to and from the wedding venue, which was VERY helpful as it turned out! (thanks again Jackie!) We all had a Great time together at the house and agreed we would Definitely like to come back again for a longer stay!

We used this place as a family hub for a wedding. Four family entities plus kids roamed the place without feeling crowded. There is a great game room, it’s well stocked for cooking and the management gives good directions and is flexible. I highly recommend if you’re in the Placerville area.

Wicker Moose Manor was the ideal spot for our stay with extended family. The property was as advertised (better than advertised really). My elderly parents stayed in the upstairs rooms while the kids and others kept their fun downstairs. It was truly ideal for our winter family visit.
Jackie does a wonderful job in letting her guests feel at home and providing character to create "Wicker Moose Manor".
Highly recommend

This house is 11/10! It is super clean, well stocked, and HUGE!! I rented this place for my wedding weekend. I wanted to give my wedding party a place to stay all together if they wanted to stay. We had 10-12 people on different nights and we still had a lot of space! Our family and other friends stopped by to say hi during the day while we got ready for the wedding and it still didn’t feel crowded. The downstairs level is sooooo cool! It was the best hangout spot! Not only was the house amazing but Jackie is THE BEST! She is super responsive, the SWEETEST person and great at explaining/answering my dumb questions lol!!
I would 100% recommendation this place for your stay!
Thank you again Jackie! You made my wedding weekend amazing!

We had a lovely long weekend, and were especially impressed with all the well-equipped kitchen (not the norm for rental properties) that had baking sheets, casserole dishes, and sharp knives! The game room was especially fun for our mixed-age group. Would definitely stay here again.

Family getaway
This family weekend getaway was nothing short of amazing!! From my initial contact with Jackie she was very informative of the location, activities and local things to do. Jackie told me places to go, places to eat at and her experience with rafting as that was our big activity for the weekend. The house was a perfect fit for our large family. It has everything you would need and more! Jackie made it very comfortable for us! She not only provided an informative book that answered every question you may have upon arriving but she was also available during our whole stay making sure any question we had she answered. Jackie made our stay perfect I will definitely be back!! This location will meet the needs for anyone it was great with an amazing owner!

Clean and luxurious
Wow, this place is a 10/10. Super clean. Huge, modern kitchen. Big dining room perfect for four families. Huge downstairs game room with awesome self-feeding pellet stove. Upstairs had an awesome traditional wood burning fireplace insert. Both stoves had steamer pots to humidify the dry mountain air. The kids could make tons of noise downstairs while the adults could enjoy quiet conversation in the upstairs living room. The binder contains everything you need to know about the house and the rules. We will definitely come back to this big house when we go skiing with multiple families!!

We planned a large family re-union around a college graduation and were extremely satisfied with this property! It is very spacious, well stocked with kitchen & bathroom supplies as well as towels/linens and a full laundry room.
Fabulous location ,easy access from the freeway yet overlooks the forest..perfect! Jackie was courteous, professional and extremely helpful; she was instantly available to answer any questions or to assist us in working the fabulous wood and pellet stoves. She made us feel welcome and truly made our stay more than I could have expected

Great Family Place
It was perfect. There was a good amount of snow making the downstairs steps a launch pad down a perfect hill for sledding. When it rained we had room for the adults to have privacy or togetherness no matter the activity... shuffleboard, foosball, puzzles, games, cards, a movie. No worries in the kitchen with everything needed for all of us... from simple cereal to homemade mac n cheese... and a dishwasher so no one was stuck doing dishes. The location is easy to get to with local stores and restaurants just in case.
It was a great place to bring my kids, their spouses and the grandkids... they all went home with great memories of fun and family.

Kids enjoyed the spacious game room and TV downstairs while adults enjoyed the upstairs living room and kitchen space. 2 Master bedrooms is a plus. Easy access from the frontage road with plenty of level parking for cars. We had 5 vehicles with space available. Thank you for a lovely Thanksgiving gathering. Also a big Thank You to Jackie for being gracious and easy to work with!

All the amenities for our party of 12
Our party of 12 spent 3 days and 2 nights at Wicker Moose Manor. The house was easy to find and easy to access. It had all the amenities we need for cooking all our meals there and making it a relaxing getaway for us. We especially enjoyed the large living rooms spaces to play board games and the shuffle board. Wicker Moose Manor was a mere 30 minute drive from all the white water rafting meet up points for the south fork of the American River. There was plenty of sleeping space for all of us and enough bathrooms to accommodate us. I especially appreciated Jackie's timely responses and all the information she provided. Thanks for a great stay.

Spacious, Beautiful Home
Our party of ten adults had a wonderful stay here. The home was really nice. We had plenty of space on both floors to relax and play. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of appliances, dinnerware, flatware, cups, and cooking utensils and tools. The dining table was huge and easily accommodated our large group for dinner and table games. The beds and futons were comfortable, and plenty of blankets and pillows were provided. (Though we wished there was a fitted sheet for the downstairs futon. We ended up just laying down a blanket and sleeping on top.) The bathrooms were all clean upon our arrival, and we were all happy with the water temperature and pressure duing showers. The home itself was super clean and stocked with all the essentials. (We had no paper towels and ran out trash bags, but it was addressed in a timely manner.) The patio and area surrounding the house was well-maintained. (We even saw deer within twenty feet of the home!) There’s plenty of parking too. We had a 15-passenger van and six cars, and we were all able to safely park them in front. Lastly, communication with Jackie was top-notch! She called us before our check-in to warn us about the recent snow and the bloated door, responded to all our texts and concerns promptly, communicated with us while she was going through the home after we checked out to make sure things were in order, and refunded our deposit within days of our checkout. I definitely will stay here again!

Great for groups!
We had 4 families meet here for our annual Friendsgiving. We had 8 adults and 6 children under the age of 3, and there was plenty of space for everybody. The kitchen was large enough to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and was well stocked with most of the cookware we needed. The house was CLEAN, the beds were comfortable, and the setting was nice. The pellet stove downstairs was out of order, so we needed to run the heater during our entire stay, but we were able to find a comfortable temp after the first night. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the downstairs TV to make BluRay discs and streaming an option. Thank you Jackie for a lovely stay and for being so responsive to our questions! Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous place to gather!
We spend a long weekend here... 7 women that sew and quilt together. While there we sewed some, watched movies, cooked in the great kitchen and enjoyed the beautiful scenery around us! The home is great and worked out fabulously for all of us. One great thing, is the fact that there is a master bedroom on the first floor. We have one member of our group that can't do stairs due to illness, so this was especially important. Plenty of room... We are looking forward to coming back sometime in the future!

We had a great time here. With two separate families, there was plenty of room. The neighborhood was very quite and the beds were comfortable. Jackie are house contact was very helpful and friendly. Came back from dinner our first night and she had a fire going, which was so nice to come back too, as it was cold outside. Our daughter was getting married and her and her bridesmaids got ready at the house and there was lots of bathrooms to do that in.
Would stay here again when in the area.
