Comfortable little room. We came for a Paul Thorn concert at the Brauntex. Perfect spot. Close to everything we needed/wanted. And, as you can see, Bed was the most comfortable of all the places we’ve stayed the last 9 years.

My parents stayed here when we had a houseful of family, so they could have a little space of their own away from the chaos. They loved everything about it, and I looked like a hero for finding it and booking it for them. We will house our people here again!

Lovely!
Our stay was short, overnight for a concert. We wished we could have stayed longer , the room was so nice!! Evert was very accommodating and we really appreciated all the nice touches, especially the breakfast goodies! We will definitely be back for a longer stay... highly recommend!

Great!
Location and neighborhood are very nice and close to lots of dining options & shops. The property was very nicely cared for - we wished the growing season was further along. The property owners were very friendly but also gave us privacy. Breakfast items were greatly appreciated. Room was very nice, clean and bed was super comfortable. We slept four in the room and it was a great option for a shorter stay if your out and about most of the time and don't need a lot of space.

The room was very nice and clean with lots of space. Everything we needed was provided. The owners left breakfast/drinks for us and were great at communicating. The location was great, we were near quite a few restaurants and being across the street from the Comal was nice. I would definitely stay here again!

The Perfect Location
If you’re floating this river, this is the spot for you!
The rooms were small but the space was used very efficiently. The outdoor area was very peaceful. You pretty much have a complementary breakfast at this location due to the yogurt, pastries, cereal, milk and juice made available to you by the owners/management.
All in all, It was perfect for our needs and for our activities!

Great location
Before arriving we had check-in instructions which were very easy to follow. Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the space as well as the goodies left for us! The next morning we partook in the delicious pastries and drank some yummy coffee. Since we were floating the Comal we were able to take the delicious fruit provided. The bed was very comfortable! It was such a great place that we have recommended to others if they are ever in the area and looking for a place to stay as well as us looking forward to making this a yearly event! Thank you!!

Absolutely a beautiful place stay. It was much more personable and relaxing than any hotel me might have stayed in. Owners are sweet and friendly. The room was relaxing and the gardens were beautifully designed and relaxing to hangout in. Will definitely go back !

A relaxing getaway
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time during our 3 night stay in the Juniper room at the Comal Inn. The room was very well appointed and cozy. The bed was super comfortable and we slept wonderfully. The pullout couch was perfect for our two girls. We loved all of the refreshments provided in the refrigerator and the pastries. The patio was wonderful and private. The location is very peaceful, but still close to everything. We could have walked to Schlitterbahn. The room had plentiful information about the area and things to see and do. Brent and Julie live on the property and were so hospitable. Looking forward to my next visit!

Peaceful Oasis in a Lovely Historic Neighborhood
We stayed in the Juniper Room at the Comal Inn over Easter weekend (Mar. 29- Apr. 2, 2018) while visiting our son who lives in the area. Upon arrival, Brent greeted us and stopped what he was doing to show us to our room. The room has everything you need for a relaxing, stress-free stay...small touches were big hits with us. A plate of pastries (from a local historic bakery), fresh fruit cups, yogurt, juice, water, & coffee were provided as a wonderful alternative to having to go out to eat. We spent our first morning on the private patio eating our breakfast. Some plates, cups, napkins, and cutlery as well as wine glasses and openers, were also very handy. In addition, a very helpful guide to restaurants and attractions was in the room...we ate at several of the places recommended and were not disappointed. The bed was very comfy...lots of room for the 2 of us to hang out...and we basically had the backyard to ourselves. (Beautiful plants and lots of birds to watch while enjoying coffee or a glass of wine.) Location of the Inn is stellar as we were walking distance to the historic downtown area as well as several little shops and restaurants scattered throughout neighborhood. The river is also a short walk away. Other attractions were just a short drive from the property...we enjoyed visiting nearby Landa Park and several antique shops. Schitterbahn is also very nearby but not a distraction or interference to the serenity of the Inn. Brent & Julie have done an excellent job of considering what their visitors might need during their stay and while we did see them a couple of times and enjoyed some friendly conversation, they also respected our privacy and desire to just relax and decompress. It was a perfect mix of hospitality. We will absolutely return and can't wait until the next opportunity to do so.

Amazing, amazing, AMAZING!
Great stay and we will be back for sure. Fresh flowers and treats in the room. I can’t say enough about this place. The owners were super nice and accommodating. They had a great guide book and reference guide. In the mornings we sat on the porch with our coffees and bird watched! I can’t wait to go back and bring more of my family!

Quaint and cozy
When choosing a place to stay for an easy get away, I would highly recommend this place. We comfortably fit four girls in this space and had plenty of space to get ready and sleep. We even utilized the outdoor patio for a workout in the mornings. Check-in was super easy and the owner even greeted us as we left. I'm beyond grateful we found the perfect place to spend a fun New Year's Eve weekend in.

There is no place better than this gem here
Two blocks from the Schlitterbahn and oozing with hospitality and charm, this is your home away from home. The owners are two of the most wonderful people I've ever been blessed to meet. I will come back again..... guaranteed!!!!!!!

We brought our 3-year-old son to New Braunfels for Mother's Day weekend and stayed in the Juniper Room. The inn is centrally located, has its own parking in back, and is well-maintained. The room was spacious enough for the three of us, though we spent more time enjoying the private porch and the adjacent shared backyard. The amenities made it feel like a home away from home: a propane grill in the backyard, good wifi, and a decent-sized mini-fridge in the room (which they had helpfully stocked with bottled water, juice, yogurt and an ice bucket for us). The proprietors live on-site and are very helpful. We definitely plan to stay there again.

Great quiet suite for a getaway
Great place to stay for a night at Gruene Hall. My three girlfriend's and I were coming in from Austin for a Saturday night show in Gruene and didn't want to make the trip back late night. We opted for a more local spot rather than a hotel and we were very glad we did. It was great to have a patio to have a glass of wine and coffee and breakfast in the morning. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We didn't have time to explore the downtown New Braunfels area but next time :).

After searching for a cabin type of place in New Braunfels we found the Comal Inn. Driving up the driveway the property was well manicured which gave us an impression that our stay would be very nice. We stayed in the Juniper room with our two daughters which was nice and clean with plenty of space to move around in even after the pullout was setup. Once we got our bedding situated we found that some extra blankets would be required, which was no problem after speaking to Julie. Julie and Brent really know how to treat their guest with pastries and a frig stocked with fruit, yogurt, waters and juices. The coffee station in our room was also very appreciated! Having coffee in the morning sitting in our private porch listening to the birds was very relaxing. Julie and Brent we will definitely come back in the near future and maybe even bring some family members so they can experience the same.
Thanks again The Velasquez Family.
