About this apartment rental
This newly renovated, fully-equipped 2-bed and 2-bath apartment with a living room able to be converted into a bedroom on the 1st floor(2nd floor US) of a historical neo-gothic building just around the corner from the Charles Bridge is for up to 8 guests, and at the same time caters to a smaller, more demanding group or family that wants to have Old World style but in a modern, functioning flat. There are three connecting rooms: the master bedroom with king-size bed(180 cm wide), the living room/sitting room with fireplace(bio-ethynol means real flames but no smoke), cable TV, and a large pull-out sofa, and then the large bedroom with two king-size beds. These rooms all have their own entry/exit doors, so privacy is not a problem. The large master bathroom has a tub/shower, toilet, his and her vanity sinks, and a washer and dryer concealed behind a decorative side panel. The second smaller bath if also fully equipped, with a small sink, shower, and toilet, and both have heated floors. Complementary WiFi works throughout the flat. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for making large meals, or even just for a coffee and small breakfast in the morning. Iron and ironing board, all towels and washcloths, and extra bedding are of course provided. Smoking is not permitted in the flat, but we have a small balcony which is perfect for that.
We think that you will appreciate the level of detail that Mark & Mirka put into the flat, from the choice of linens for the beds and selection of furnishings (we have two art nouveau chairs in the kitchen) to the extensive restoration of the ceiling décor and the matching chandeliers. We have really focused on trying to preserve and enhance as many elements from the original construction as possible.

Love this place! Our hosts were so sweet. They left us with fresh breads, wine and beer the day we arrived. They had fans in every room for our comfort. Such a beautiful ornate place. The location was walkabe to old Town and downtown. Plenty of room for my husband and I with our teenage kids. If we come back to Prague someday, Iwould definitely stay here again!

Amazing location and beautiful property! We had the best time!

This apartment is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. It is very easy to walk or take a short tram ride anywhere you’ll want to visit in Prague. And Mark was so welcoming! He let us drop luggage early and leave it late. He checked in on us via messaging to see if we needed anything. And he had food and drink stocked to get us started on our stay. It was a perfect apartment for us and I recommend it to anyone!

My friends and I loved everything about the apartment. It was a great location and everything was as represented.

Four friends enjoyed seven nights here. On our arrival, Galina ran up a few minutes late to give us keys. We did not meet Mark or Mirka but appreciated their treats in refrigerator. The flat was clean, smoke free, and full of towels and wash cloths. No shampoo and insufficient toilet paper, we ran out. Dryer was broken though still listed on Amenities. Washer and rack did work. Mark’s transport service to airport gave us no confirmation but did come on time. We found no instruction list for clean up at check out. Perfect location for car-free week of walking. Spacious apartment was ideal for four friends, thank you.

Let me start out by saying Mark was very generous by letting us drop our bags before check in because we arrived to Prague. He also let us stay a couple of hours later because our train was changed. The apartment was very expensive for the area - Prague is very reasonable in general. We were disappointed since there was not even a napkin, paper towel, pepper shaker or a wash cloth in the apartment. Not a deal breaker, we bought our own. Our big complaint is there was no working clothing dryer and no coffee maker in the apartment - we were told the dryer did not work and showed a bottle of instant coffee when we checked in. These are the only 2 reasons we rent a VRBO over staying in a hotel when we travel. We would have chosen differently if we were aware these amenities were not available, but the apartment advertises these amenities hence it was not as an accurate listing.

Great location, comfortable and quiet.

Excellent communication and interaction with the Host, Mark. Very clean and wonderful location to enable walking access to Old Prague sites and New Town. The floor plan of the apartment, the attention to details of the renovation, and amenities enhanced our stay. I can highly recommend this property.

What an absolutely wonderful apartment to choose for your stay in Prague. There isn't a more perfect location, central and equidistant from all possible sites, museums and attractions in this very walkable city.
The apartment itself is beautiful with that European feel; high ceilings, elaborate plaster moulding, wooden parquet floors. There is even a kerosene fireplace! The apartment is quite well equipped even for dining in. I had leisurely morning breakfasts before heading out. Of course I had a long stay of two weeks!
The TV is set up to allow Netflix and other streaming apps. Having a washer/dryer was a Godsend on an extended stay.
Mark is extreemly responsive and quite generous. I arrived to a fridge with some basics and his wife? baked some delicious goodies that were on the kitchen table.
I would recommend "Taste of Prague", a comprehensive guide done by perhaps a dozen foreigners living in Prague. It's available on line and I found it a better resource than the guide books for just about everything.
In short, if I could rate this rental 10 stars, I would!
Thank you Mark for your fastidious attention to all the little details that made me so comfortable.

Apartment is just as listed. Photos are very accurate. Beds were very comfortable. Communication with host was seamless and included a personal guide to get into the apartment and orient us. Host very thoughtfully included some nice "starters" - e.g. bottle of wine, butter for cooking, etc. Overall this was a lovely apartment in a very safe and quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of all the major sites in Prague.

We loved our place and appreciated all the touches that made it special by the owners. The location is ideal, just a few blocks from the river and the hub of the old town. It's a well-equipped, updated and beautiful apartment where you can tell a lot of care has been taken on the details. We were a family of four with two young adults and so the large BR with two beds worked great, along with the two bathrooms. The generosity of the owners to provide more than a few provisions in the fridge and even some homemade coffee cake upon arrival was exceptionally gracious. You can't go wrong booking this lovely place as your temporary home in Prague. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay in this beautifully decorated Prague apartment. It was conveniently located and was an easy walk to many attractions. The tram was nearby which was easy to use to get around the city. Our host was very helpful setting up our transportation to and from the hotel. The apartment was clean, beautiful and very comfortable. We would stay again and definitely recommend.

The Karoline is a beauty in itself that nods to the overall spectacular views of Prague. The flat is very spacious and is in a great location for easy walks to everything you need - grocery, shopping, trams and local sights. The amenities provided make it very easy to have meals in the flat while also having great restaurants within walking distance. The security of the flat is very good and the building is quiet. Mark and his team are great with their communication both prior and during the stay and will arrange transportation both to and from the airport if needed. The reviews and pictures of this flat are what made us choose it for our trip and the reality of our experience was one of the best traveling both abroad and domestically in the US. The beauty of the architecture and furniture felt more like home for us than just staying in a rental.

The apartment is spacious and beautiful. I felt like I had stepped back in time when buildings were built by artisans. The ceilings were spectacular. Thank you so much for the homemade apple strudel, it was enjoyed by all of us at breakfast. The owners left us some drinks, local breads and such to start our visit on the right foot. The apartment is kept warm and toasty on these cold winter days; just what you need when you visit the sites all day. Love the fireplace! Thank you!! I will stay here again when we come to Prague.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to explore Prague. Myself and my husband were visiting my son during his study abroad time. The apartment was perfect. It allowed us to have my son stay with us for a few nights. The location was unbeatable. We mostly walked everywhere but used the tram a few times which was quite easy. Charles bridge and Old Town Square are easy walks.
Mark was a wonderful host. He arranged our transfers to and from the airport and had a few basics waiting for us when we arrived. Mark was in communication with us and easily available.
The apartment is large and comfortable and was incredibly clean upon our arrival. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.
We will definitely be back!

This place was great. First great thing was location—very close to main attractions, all within easy walking distance. Second great thing was hosts—in preparation to our arrival Mark was great about offering to help with accommodation to and from his property and hooked us up with a tour guide for a particular site we wanted to see outside of Prague. We also had someone meet us when we checked in and she gave us a great orientation to Prague and lots of tips on what to do. And third great thing was the space—great showers, large space for the three of us, and nicely decorated. Highly recommend!

We were very impressed with the advanced communication with the host, and his assistance lining up transportation. Appreciated the starting "snacks" that awaited us when we checked in. Place comfortable for 4 adults. We were able to walk or take public transport everywhere we went.

Wonderful area to stay in Prague. So nice to return to the apartment after a day of sightseeing. Lovely having goodies the first evening.

The apartment is in a quiet area, but is ideally located for walking all over town - the Charles Bridge is 5 minutes, and the Old Square and Wenceslas Square are less that 15 minutes walk. The apartment is beautifully decorated, with many artistic touches, and was very clean (just be careful with the shower in the master bathroom - the water pressure causes the shower head to twist and spray everywhere 😂). We were very happy with this apartment ! There are several excellent breakfast/lunch cafes within 2 minutes walk, and a wonderful restaurant for dinner only steps away.
Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about this property. Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, perfect location, exceptionally clean, and the Mark, the owner went far beyond our expectations to make sure we enjoyed our 4-night stay. He arranged our transportation from the airport to the flat and back to the airport when we departed. He stocked the refrigerator with wine, cheese, juice and soft drinks which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. Communication with Mark was excellent, and I can't think of anything that could have improved our experience. Mark's place should be at the top of your list if you're planning on visiting Prague.

Mark has put a lot of time and effort into giving his unit a classic feel, and it shows. He was very responsive and helpful when we had a minor issue. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Prague in Mark’s lovely apartment. Our two granddaughters were particularly impressed with the city and the apartment. We are walkers and made good use of the central location. Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Nice spot to stay with a family of 4 - great location very close to most things to see in Prague. Apartment is clean and well stocked, owner is very accessible and polite. would recommend to most groups.

The apartment is ideally located near the bridge Charles. It matched the description perfectly.
Very clean, charming, beautiful, spacious, very well equipped and comfortable.
Mark took very good care of us.
For example, proposing a solution for the transfer from and to the airport.
A breakfast was even there when we arrived.
The communication with Mark during the holiday was very easy. I strongly recommend this location. Catherine.

This apartment could have not been more perfect. 5 min walk to Charles Bridge, restaurants, bars, and attractions close by. The apartment was perfect for parents with adult daughters, they each had their own bed with plenty of space. Mark was great at every email I sent with questions! We enjoyed coffee every morning at the kitchen table and a glass of wine at night by the TV. We very much enjoyed our time in Prague and would highly recommend this location.

This was in a wonderful location for Old Town Prague. The apartment was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Host was very communicative and helpful. Arranged a taxi from the airport for us. Apartment is beautiful and very conveniently located

Very close to the old city and the Carls Bridge in Prague and with a cozy cafe in the building on a small square. The river one street away.
The apartment was nice but small when housing 7 people as we were. The three double beds were fine but the pull out couch was probably only 120 cm both ways when pulled out (our 11 year old daughter slept on it alone diagonally to fit). The kitchen had enough space for all of us to sit and enough cutlery, plates and glasses. Two well functioning bathrooms.

This apartment is wonderfully located and perfect for those with more than 2 adults. The 2 bathrooms and in unit washer and dryer are such an advantage. The host had all the grocery basics (plus a few extras)….super helpful after a long international flight. Minutes from Old Town and lots of great restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay. The flat is the perfect location. We wish we had more then three days. We would absolutely get this flat again.

The pictures and description more than adequately described our HOME for nights. We were in easy walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, pubs, tourist attractions and transit. Quite simply this place is perfect. The host was very accommodating, friendly and the apartment was well equipped and very very comfortable for 6 adults with lots of privacy for all. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for some character, convenience and comfort!!!

The stay was very good, ideal for 2 families with children.
Nice and central Place in Prag Town.

The apartment is comfortable and within walking distance of several sites in Prague, and the nearest tram stop and subway stop are also within easy walking distance. Mark is a good host. The airport/train station transfers by car that he can arrange made those trips convenient, punctual, and welcome, especially after a long flight. The bathroom for the second bedroom is across the hallway inside the apartment. There is no elevator/lift in the building, and there are two full flights of steps to the first floor (US second floor) apartment--something to be aware of if there is mobility impairment or bringing heavy luggage. I liked being there and visiting Prague and hope to return to both.

Honestly, I cannot say enough positive things about this flat in the heart of Prague. First of all, it's gorgeous - exactly as pictured - and more beautiful in person. It's within an easy walking distance to so many sites, restaurants and shopping in the city, yet is located on a quiet street providing a perfect place to come "home" to recharge after the day's adventure. The flat had all the comforts to make our stay perfect. The heated tile floors in the bathrooms were luxurious and the beds comfortable.
Mark was easy to communicate with, arranged transportation to and from the airport, and even provided some essential provisions in the kitchen upon our arrival - such a nice gesture and appreciated after a long journey to reach Prague. Check-in /check-out processes were simple.
If we find ourselves in Prague again, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I made an error and booked on the wrong Dates. We didn’t discover this until the day Mark was expecting us to arrive. He had arranged transportation for us to and from the apartment as well so was out of pocket for this.
Mark was very gracious and understanding. He charged us for one night only (out of 3) just to cover his own costs when he had no obligation to do so.
He was very easy to deal with.

The apartment was perfect - lovely accommodations and plenty of room for 3 single women. The location couldn't have been better - less than a 10-min. walk to the Charles Bridge. Making arrangements with Mark was easy and pleasant and he was a big help in answering questions for us before we arrived. We appreciated him helping us with transportation to/from the train station and providing some snacks/food items so we didn't have to find a grocery store. I'd highly recommend staying here - so much nicer and more comfortable than a hotel - and would stay here again if visiting Prague again.

A memorable stay.
